I can spend hours upon hours in Boots.... I know very sad but a girls gotta make the most of what she's got, so any enhancment product's I'm there! On one of theses such occasions I had £20 to blow on my Boots Card. I was looking for a nice Lip Gloss. I found one in BOURJOIS EFFECT 3-D lip shine from Paris.

*The Product
It was priced at £6.95, very reasonable considering the price of other leading brands. What first attracted me to this product was the packaging. No fancy box just a little 4" tube with a gold (expensive looking) lid. The bottle is a pleasing curved shape, with a button section in the lid showing you the colour (obviously for display purposes), its transparency allows you to see the colour of the product. I chose Beige Elastic Number 74 which isnt a particularly flattering name for this lovely colour. There were lots of colours to pick they looked like a rainbow on the display unit ....very eye catching.

Some colours definately not to my taste!
The Lipstick (although I think of it as Gloss) comes in 0.2 Fluid Ounce size. Which has lasted me for a long time.

*On Application.
When I used this product for the first time I was suprised to find that it wasn't a roller ball application (yep I was a 80's lipgloss fiend) but a lovely thin brush. The smell is fantastic, so good infact my niece wanted to eat it. (not so good)
My first application I found that the brush allows you a generous amount so you only need dip back in 3 times. The overall look was stunning, beautiful full lips and the 3D effect they advertise is completely true. The feels is fab, sleek glittery and glossy. The colour was somewhat lighter than I expected but nevertheless still looked great.

*Tips.
I have found the best way to ensure even application of any lipstick is to make sure your lips are prepared first. Remove any chapped dry skin with a wet sponge then moisturise with your regular moisturiser (not anything of a greasy nature). Once dried I have found a light buff with some face powder defines the lines and stops any bleeding. Then apply with your mouth in the most natural position possible. Come on girls we all do that 'O' face. This ensure's you have lippy where your supposed to and not a Joker smile after application.

*Negative Point.
The only negative I can suggest for this great product is that it wears off far to quickly and you'll have to re-apply. Having said that the Bottle of Bourjois 3D Effect Lip Gloss is longlasting.
