Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush
Advantages: So many! Not enough space...
Disadvantages: If it becomes discontinued
I decided to venture out from my usual brands and try something new. So I headed over to the Bourjois stand to see what interesting products they had to offer. I needed a new blush anyway but I was immediately intrigued by the the little rounds pots of blushes and eye shadows. They all had a rather cute and individually coloured pots to match each shade. Something I hadn't seen in other make-up brands (or maybe I just haven't come across them). Anyway, being the indecisive person that I am, I have to say deciding on a shade was a rather difficult decision. I knew I wanted a pink blush but even so, there were so many different shades of pink in such pretty colours that it was hard to choose just one. I tried a few from the tester pots on the back of my hand, but the few I did try didn't show their colour very well... in the end I went with the shade rose d'or and hoped that the the shimmer golden tones it had wouldn't show up as obviously on the face.
Each blush comes in a little round pot that is coloured to match the shade inside. The inside of the pot contains a fixed mirror on the lid, a small half moon brush, and some instructions on how and where best to apply. The first thing I noticed when using the blush was how there was no powder mess created. I thought it would be a good idea to mention this as we all know how annoying it is when loose bits of powder get everywhere! The blush is also very easy to apply whether using it lightly for the daytime or more heavily for night events. I mentioned earlier about my worry of the golden shimmer in the Rose D'or shade. I needn't have worried though as it wasn't obvious on my cheeks at all.
Another bonus about these blushes are that they come in a lovely petite pot, that can easily fit into even the smallest of bags for extra touch-ups. But you shouldn't need to as it does last all day. My favourite thing about this blush is that they really do last forever! I've had mine for about 5-6 months now and even though I've used it almost every day, it still isn't showing any sign of running out. Not a single part of the bottom of the pot in sight! Which is strange considering the length of time I've had it, how often I use it and how little product there seems to be. Every other blush I've had from other brands usually ran out within a couple of months at best. Am I the only one amazed by this?
Anyway, great range of blushes in so many colours and only costing around £8. This may seem fairly expensive for such a small blush if you're on a tight budget, but as I've said, I'm still on my first pot after 5 months of every day use and it's still going strong. Highly recommended blushes!
Summary: If you're thinking of buying it, then just go ahead. You won't know until you try!
