Advantages: Handy little pot, little mirror, great formula, good choice of shades, flattering, goes on evenly
Disadvantages: Hinged lid occasionally breaks off
The packaging is cute and handbag-sized, and co-ordinates with other Bourjois products (e.g. the eyeshadows). The round pot has a hinged lid, and this is my only negative about this blusher - I have been using it for years, and the lids do sometimes break at the hinge, resulting in pink fingers when rummaging for it in my bag. It doesn't happen every time though, and the benefits of the product far outweigh this minor glitch!
There is a little mirror in the lid, which I do not usually use as it is a bit too small, but occasionally it is very useful so I suppose it's a good bonus. There is also a little brush included, which again I don't use as I find it too small for blusher and results in patchy application for me (but it's good for emergencies and easily comparable in size and quality with other blusher brushes that are included in the pot). The blusher is in a kind of "hill" formation rather than being flat, which seems to help with distribution on the brush as it allows blusher to reach the brush at different angles - a simple yet great design feature!
I have used a lot of blushers in my time, and one thing I hate is when they break up and result in a ton of powder / chunks / bits of pinkness exploding when you open them, and then inevitably having to buy anew one before it ran out - Grrrrrrrrrrr! However, this has never happened to me with the little round pot (ha ha, hee hee!). Fab!
On the face, which of course is the whole point of blusher, I find it has a great formula that applies evenly (with a big brush), lasts all day, and looks flattering. I vary between two shades - the Rose de jaspe is my usual go-to, as it shows up well on my fair-ish skin, and seems to freshen and lift my face. I recently went through a Rose d'or phase, which looks more natural.
They represent great value - like many Bourjois products the formulas easily compete with higher priced competitors, and the fact that they don't seem to break up easily means they tend to last me a long time.
Summary: Highly recommended, great colours, quality and value - love it!
