Advantages: not too pricey, good quality

Disadvantages: not enough shades to choose from

Bourjois so laque nail enamel is available from drug stores and some supermarkets such as boots, superdrug, tesco etc. and are currently being sold for £4.99. There are about 6 shades available that range from bright pinks to lighter creams to dark rich berry shades (there could be more but these are all I've seen) and come in a 10ml glass bottle.

Many of these nail polishes come in a matte cream finish that don't have any pearl, glitter or metallic finishes to them. This makes them appear more professional looking in my opinion so I love wearing these for work. (You can always layer a pearl or other finish on top of these if you fancy a change.) The colour payoff is excellent and I often find that I don't need more than the one coat to get the desired intense opaque result I've been looking for.

The brush of this polish is a regular size and I find that it's quite handy and provides a good grip and control for application. The colour choices are pretty and they don't tend to chip or flake for at least 3 to 4 days, which I think is excellent.

I would recommend these polishes as they're not too pricey and the colours are fab and you often only need one coat to get a really intense shade. The staying power is pretty good and application goes on very smoothly.
