Hmm. (Bourjois So Laque)
Member Name: mrsdeantobe1986
Advantages: Nice range of matte colours Disadvantages: Chips easily, dries slowly Bourjois. An (almost) cult French classic brand. I have been using Boujois since I started wearing make up (over 13 years then!) and normally find them pretty fool-proof. I have bought the 1 Seconde polish before and thought it alright, so when I saw this version, on special in Boots (£3.37 down from £5.37) I obviously had to try it. I actually, quite foolishly, bought 4 shades; the darkest blue, dark blue, red and pink. I should not have done this. I tried the blue first, and it does look pretty nice on; a lovely even colour, but it only looked perfect for about 8 hours. It was slow to dry and quick to chip, and this really annoys me with nail varnish. It was also quite difficult to fully remove- another pet hate of mine. It left my fingertips and cuticles stained blue, and these stains were visible when I applied the pink shade. This was even more of a let down than the blue; it was watery, needed 3 coats, and started to chip off after about an hour. Not cool. I am yet to try the red, although I am confident it will be just as poor as the others. Not a good choice- I will be sticking with good old Barry M in the future. Summary: Not worth your money unless it's on special! |
