Fun but messy (Bourjois Suivez Mon Regard)

These were brand new out by Bourjois when I saw them on display. They looked new, fun and exciting and I had always liked their eye-shadows in the little round pots so I had high expectations for this. I was going through a gold eye-shadow phase so I picked up shade 22 Or Pepite which I thought would be great for a night out.

The packaging is quite strange and unusual. It's a see-through pot with a deep screw lid. Once you unscrew the lid you will find a brush on the other end. This goes down into a crevice in the pot where there is a little opening to get to the loose shimmer powder. This means the tip of the brush just touches the powder each time.

Using it however is tricky. You dip the brush in the pot and then apply it. However the main problem with this is that the shimmer powder goes everywhere. You apply it on your lids and yet it turns up on your cheeks and your nose and you end up looking a bit silly. Because of its nature this is hard to build up a colour in one place. I think it would work best over another solid colour with just a thin layer on top to jazz it up. The colour however is lovely, a true beautiful gold and is lovely for a night out. This isn't something that is suitable for work I think though.
