Bourjois Suivez Mon Regard
Advantages: Great colour
Disadvantages: Rubbish brush.
I purchased Suivez Mon Regard some years ago. They are a range of eye shadows from Bourjois and retail for £7-£8. You get a small pot filled with powder eye shadow and most of the colours look a lot lighter in the pot than they do on your actual eyes as they are iridescent.
The one I bought was "Regard Bleu Insolite" which is an iridescent powder that looks white in the pot, but shimmers blue and pink and purple on the eyes. They are little bit like Barry M Dazzle Dust. Powder shadows tend to be very highly pigmented, and this is no exception, the colour is outstanding, much better than a pressed powder.
The pot is quite an ergonomic design, The powder is held in a chamber at the bottom, and there is a plastic cover over the top with a small slot. The brush is in the lid of the pot and screws into the pot and fits nicely in the small slot. The design minimises spillages of the loose powder as if it is tipped over without the lid, only a small amount can escape.
In my opinion, the brush picks up too much shadow to be able to directly brush onto the eyelid. As with all of the "supplied" brushes, it is quite naff. I tap a bit of powder onto the back of my hand and then use my usual eyeshadow brush to build up the colour. If you apply directly to the eye, you end up with lovely powder under your eyes, which, when you brush it away, it leaves an iridescent stripe on your face. Adam Ant - not the look we are going for.
I always use a primer under my eyeshadow so it always lasts 6 hours minimum, I can't really comment on the staying power of this alone.
The product itself lasts ages as you only need a tiny bit to get a brilliant colour.
One thing to remember: when taking this out on a night out, you may get questioned as to what it is. "No Mr Doorman, it's eyeshadow, not cocaine, I'm not going to snort it honest! I don't want an iridescent nose for a start off". I kid you not. This actually happened to me! Luckily he believed it was eyeshadow (after checking with Mrs Doorwoman) and I wasn't charged with possession of an illegal substance. Could have been amusing had they taken it "to the lab for further testing" though :)
Anyway I digress, overall, great colour, rubbish brush.
Summary: Go for it if you are looking for something that stands out
