I bought this make-up set off a popular online retailer as I was drawn to the packaging. It's packaged in the same theme as the perfume of the same name, "Fantasy". The set compromises of eyeshadows, lip glosses and an applicator. You don't get much for your money as it's more like a little gift set.

I found the eyeshadow to be of average quality. It did crease a little when I applied it without a primer, so I now use a primer beforehand to ensure that it stays on. The eyeshadow itself is fragrance free. It doesn't irritate the eyes at all and it wipes away easily at the end of the day. My favourite shade is "Midnight", which is a lovely dark blue colour with a hint of sparkle.

The applicator isn't the best quality but it still works.

The lip gloss is a little sticky so I don't tend to use it that often. I find that my hair sticks to it, which isn't such a good look! You only get one shade too, which is a shame.

The highlighter is the best thing about the set. It gives better results than "High Beam" by Benefit. It gives your cheeks a lovely subtle flush of colour, whatever shade of skin you have. It is also quite long lasting. It doesn't wear off either.

The R.R.P of the set is around £15 but you can easily pick one up online for around the five pounds mark.

      In this palette

I first used this when getting ready for work. The 'Pixie' eye shadow (Light pink) is very subtle and crease proof, lasting me throughout the working day.

I used the 'Fairy Dust' (all over shimmer powder) on my cheeks; it gave me a subdued, healthy gleam (You can layer it for stronger results). This is very good to use in place of blusher, especially if you're heavy handed like me!

The 'Glimmer' lip-gloss looks very vivid in the palette, but is very flattering for all skin tones.

I also love 'Flicker' eye shadow (Medium lilac) for weekends, on its own, or blended with 'Pixie' for a lighter, fresher look.

I've used the more dramatic 'Midnight' (Dark blue) when I went on a night out with the same long lasting results. Instead of eye liner I smudged a line of the eye shadow under my lower lashes for a smokey effect. I used `Fairy dust' on my brow bones to open the eye area.

The `Enchanted Forest' (Dark green) eye shadow would also be suitable for a night time look, but having dark blue eyes I don't wear green shadows [it just looks muddy].

The shimmer cream-to-powder and gloss go with all combinations perfectly.

For dramatic party looks try the following combinations:

      Midnight & Flicker
      Midnight & Enchanted Forest
      Enchanted Forest & Flicker

      The packaging

I first bought this on impulse when I bought the Fantasy fragrance [they were launched together]. I admit it was the packaging that sold me, rather then the actual contents.

The packaging is a rectangular card case, with a flip lid. The outside is a
metallic pink adorned with light green 'gems' [plastic], to mimic the design of the Fantasy perfume bottle. The inside of the case is white, with a pink wavy pattern that is again similar to the Fantasy perfume's outer packaging.

      My opinion

Elizabeth Arden produce the Britney brand of fragrances, so they also produced this palette, so you know you'll be using a very high quality product that's been produced at high standards.

Elizabeth Arden's own eye shadows cost £13.50 and their lipgloss also comes in at £13.50, so that's already £67.50 without the highlighter [Of course the amount of the products in the palette is less], so even though I haven't used one shade of eyeshadow and only use another shade rarely I'm still getting more then my money's worth.

The RRP is £14.99, but the palette is widely available on line for £6 and under, so I'd look around before buying.
