Carmen Nailcare System

I bought the Carmen Nailcare System because I am (i) obsessed with nail varnish and (ii) because I am a lazy so-and-so. I adore having manicured nails, but I tend to let my cuticles run riot because I am too lazy to spend 30 minutes soaking, filing and pushing back cuticles. I saw the Carmen Nailcare System in the Argos sale and instantly fell in love. It's not really a 'nailcare system', it's basically a hideous plastic thingymejig which files your nails for you. It's a wand which you shove a battery in. You can attach small metal files on one end and you get eight different metal files in the box. No, I don't know what they are all for ...

Has anyone tried Electrolysis? You see I never got on with it...was it just me, am I a wimp? I was getting a bit of facial hair, you know,upper lip stuff. I`m fair so it doesn`t really notice, but I decided I didn`t like it. I`d heard the stories from friends who had their Bikini line done by electrolysis in a salon.....sounded ok & they went back. I couldn`t go & have my upper lip done...how embarrassing, I thought. Anyway, I got the DIY one...and it wasn`t cheap. I thought it would be simple. I was given this as a birthday present by a misguided relative who knew I'm very keen on my nails (or talons as folks usually call them) and thought I'd like this. I don't know how much it cost; but I'd bet my next wage packet that it's a right lot more than a few packets of different grade emery boards, and that's pretty much all it amounts to. Unless someone is badly disabled, I can't see that having the filing/buffing process done by a gadget is of any help whatsoever.
