Carmex is the best (Carmex Cold Sore Reliever and Lip Moisturizer)
Advantages: Cheap but effective. Disadvantages: Can get messy. So I read that Kate Moss uses Carmex, and if it's good enough for Kate it's good enough for me. Slightly dubious that I had just bought into some clever advertising trick, I hesitantly applied by new lip balm. Luckily, this product is worth the hype. It goes on smooth and creates a slight but natural shine. The best thing about this is that unlike a lot of designer make-up, it isn't at all impractical. It lasts for hours, and isn't at all sticky. The smell is a bit medicated, but you soon get used to it. It is also substantially cheaper than other products on the market, and lasts for ages. One disadvantage is that sometimes it is hard to get out of the pot - you have to use your fingers so it can get messy, plus it's not very hygienic. The packaging is really kitsch, after about a week in my handbag the 'Carmex' letters had worn off, but it is what's on the inside that counts...which is a fantastic lip protection. Summary: A great bargain that does what it says on the tin. |
