Advantages: Tingly feeling

Disadvantages: Expensive and you don't get a lot

Carmex Lipbalm is one of those beauty institutions, like Vaseline, Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream and Yves Stlaurent's Touche Eclait. Carmex has not actually been widley avalible in the UK for that long though, so it's been one of those go-over-to-the-states-and-bring-me-back-ten products. It was once so cool they sold it in Urban outfitters, now though, it's avalible in Boots and Superdrug.

The main thing about Carmex lipbalm is the way it makes your lips tingle (and it really does!). It has a medicinal smell and taste which is not to everyones taste. It has a nice creamy texture though, just right for normal application, and it does make the lips feel hydrated for at least 4 hours after it has been applied.

Carmex comes in two forms, in the little tub, and the sqeezable tube. The tub form means the lip balm is a bit harder, but the tubed lip balm is softer and easier to apply. Neither though is value for money, because Carmex is not cheap compared to other lipbalms made by blixtex etc. It costs about 2.30 average, and my tube has started to run low after just 2 weeks.

What more can you say about lipbalm? There is something about Carmex that make your lips feel tingly and fresh, but it is quite pricey in comparison to other lip balms avalible (and there are so many around now - knickerbockerglory flavour anyone?!) and you don't get that much. I can't sya this is remarkably better than all the other lip balms i have tried though it does have a great texture and it makes your lips glossy and smooth, so I guess it is worth it for kissable lips.

I have heard about this lip-balm but didn't realise that it was now available in Boots and Superdrug. My daughter used to get it by mail order and swears by it - must surprise her tomorrow and buy her a tub :)
