The lipstick was called 'Plum Fairy' so obviously I had to buy it. I like plums, and fairies, and the colour was good too :-) I don't normally go for shiny, pearlised lipsticks. I have fashion-nightmare-flashbacks to the 80's when I used to wear pale pinkish white lipstick that made me look, my Dad told me, quite unwell. I prefer the more matte shades as they tend to last longer and have better pigmentation, so you don't need to apply as much. What pearlised lispticks I have tried in the past always seem to slide their way down my face and give me the 'just eaten some jam dougnuts' look, which I'm not exactly striving to achieve. This lipstick isn't very long lasting, but the colour is so lovely - a dark berry-ish shade with twinkly little bits of glitter that catch the light and look quite sexy as you dazzle people with your smile... well, it looks nice anyway. I have to apply this several times during the day, but at least it fades well, just leaving a more subtle colour of the orginal application, rather than leaving you with the equivallent of a coffe stain when you put a mug on a table. The packaging is quite horrible - nasty grey speckled plastic and a gold band, but this is really the only down side. Don't buy this type of lipstick for long lasting or deep colour, but do if you want shimmery lips and good moistuising action - it left my lips very smooth and soft.
