“ Brand: Chanel / Type: Powder / Texture: Cream „
After many years of searching I finally found perfect foundation - Chanel Double Perfection Crème Poudre in classic black packaging.
Honestly, this is the best cream foundation that I've ever used! My skin is oily, so it's really difficult to find foundation that stayed in place for all day (especially - my T-zone). And this one really does! It gives me the most perfect matte finish all day with an excellent coverage. The finish can seem powdery at first, but after an hour or so it blends nicely with my face and looks more natural.
Though it is matte, it doesn't look cakey or blocks my pores. In fact it makes me almost poreless. My face looks like porcelain. On my oily face it lasts the whole day and it doesn't rub off on clothes.
My shade - 20 Clair - perfect for my fair skin. Looks very natural and healthy.
Usually I apply this foundation with a brush or with my fingers - that's easier not to put too much as foundation consistency is creamy. And I'm already thinking of buying this foundation in a darker shade - for summer. My skin easily gets tanned so I have to be ready 
Also let's not forget it's with SPF15 
The only disadvantage - this foundation isn't very cheap - around £30, but you can find cheaper on ebay. For example I was very lucky and managed to get mine on ebay for just £15. But this foundation is really worth every penny! Cause now I feel great: very confident and happy because I don't have to worry about my face that much!
So, this is definitely the first foundation that I am truly happy about in every aspect!!!

I have combination skin, so one minute its dry the next it can be too oily.
My friend recommended me the 'chanel double perfection cream poudre' as she has the same problem, I now wear use this product religiously on oily skin days.
I usually come to the point in the day where my make-up becomes shiny and I usually go for my clinque blotting sheets (with quiet frankly take all the make-up off, not so good.)
The makeup comes in a black Chanel box with information inside with the ingredients etc.
The product is presented in an elegant 35 ml matte black tube.
This product has lasted me a year and it's now getting to the point where I need to by some more, I think it's well worth the money as it lasts so long.
What the promo says
A unique formula that is sensual, intelligent and practical. The original sensation of a cream foundation that transforms into a powder for a matte, luminous result.
As soon as it is applied, the light and creamy texture of DOUBLE PERFECTION CRÈME POUDRE transforms into a fine, powdery veil that is perfectly even.
In this highly elaborate formula, three makeup benefits come together for the first time:
- The face is absolutely matte. Due to the action of a biopolymer, the makeup adapts to the specific needs of the skin: hydration is maintained on dry areas of the face while shine is diminished.
- Enriched with light-reflecting pigments, DOUBLE PERFECTION CRÈME POUDRE superbly evens out and illuminates the complexion. The Lumioptic R light-adapting complex by CHANEL perfectly adjusts the natural radiance of the complexion.
- Finally, the presence of a crystalline powder ensures exceptional glide-on application and long hold.
The selection if shades are excellent for this particular product, the wider range of shades the better as you have more chance of getting the perfect colour for your skin.
I applied this product with a wet foundation brush (this is normal procedure for me as I feel it looks better with a dab of water)
And glide it across all of my face after applying concelar to my eye area.
After applying the cream my once oily face looks matte and flawless.
I was so pleased with the result, I didn't have a blemish in sight and the next day I wore it to a wedding and all I got was compliments about my skin.
This truly does work guys, I usually have 'makeup melt downs' during the day, but this make-up seriously doesn't budge and not a shine in sight without making my skin look dry.
In conclusion, this is a great product and is perfect with those who have combination/oily skin and are sick and tired of having to do touch ups through the day.
After years of buying, hating, loving, discarding various foundations and tinted moisturisers, about a year ago, I found one I liked, essentially for going out.
The make up comes in a black Chanel box with bits of information on the side and a whole leaflet describing the product inside. Open up the box and there it is, a black squeezy 35ml tube. The whole packaging design is very simple, and effective- black packaging, white writing and a gold stripe across the bottom of the box.
The product cost me £20, which I dont think is bad considering I had the last tube for a year- I obviously dont get out a lot.
Sensation of powdery softness. The effect of the cream will vanish on application leaving you with a fine powdery film.
Skin will be matte and shine free for hours
Velvety matte effect, while light reflecting pigments evenj out and illuminate your complexion
Sun filter (SPF 15) combined with Vitamin E protects your skin when the sun comes out. (I wish!!)
Shine is controlled in oily parts and moisture will be maintained in drier areas
THE MAKE UP
Squeeze the tube and out it comes. The make up is obviously the colour you have chosen. It is slightly thicker than make up I have used before and feels a bit drier, probably because it is a powder make up.
All those promises leave me a tad worried that I am just so not going to live up the expectations of Chanel.
It is suggested that the make up is dabbed onto the face and neck and then blended.
I love the colours- the names are so well, strange. I opted for the Naturel, probably because it was the most normal sounding. The make up comes in 6 colours: Naturel, Beige, Clair, Limpide, Rose, Cendre. I didn;t think I wanted to go beige.
DOES IT LIVE UP TO ITS PROMISES?
The make up has no distinctive smell which is good- I just cant get away with those perfume smelling ones.
It actually does glide on easily, although I am more of a scrub it quickly onto my face person rather than a dab it gently- no make up sponges for me.
Once on, it actually doesnt budge for absolutely hours- you would have to have someone doing some serious contemplation of your face to get movement. There is no shine at all, and, glory be, no need for powder to keep the make up in place.
When it is applied, I always feel as though I have got a completely flawless face (could be the effects of a shandy too many), but seriously, not a blemish in sight.
For me, it is too heavy for daily wear, but perfect for times when I go out and there are bright lights. Its also a bit heavy for use in the summer, both day and night, but for a winter cover up, dont I scrub up nicely kind of look, its perfect.
As I said before, the first tube I bought lasted me about a year, so based on this, £20 is relatively reasonable.
The fact that it is in a tube rather than a pot makes it very handy to carry around, if a touch up is required, and because it isnt all runny and gooey, its quite difficult to have an accident whereby the squeeze is too great and the make up shoots across the floor.
Maybe its only me who has that problem
In conclusion, an excellent make up for heavier coverage, well packaged and reasonably priced.
I will most certainly buy another when this runs out; unless they discontinue it which is what usually happens to products I like.
Thanks for reading.
