Chanel Exceptionnel de Chanel Volumizing Mascara

I received a free sample of Chanel Exceptionnel whilst in duty free at Hong Kong airport, after trying it for a few days at home I decided to buy it once the tester had run out which is a thing I rarely do. The assistant behind the counter advised me this was the closest thing to a 'false eyelash effect' but I had to apply with a 'special technique' which basically meant apply from the very root of the lash and continuously rotate when applying. I received this mascara as a sample from the Chanel counter in boots. I was surprised as they rarely ever have samples that they give away, so I was eager to try the free product. The shade of mascara which received is smoky noir and the tube was enough for a 7 day trial. The mascara claims to volumise lashes, lengthen and curl them without clumping the lashes together. I would agree that the mascara lengthens and volumises, however I have not really noticed any curling effect. However my lashes are naturally curly anyway so that may be why.
