I have only ever bough cheap lipsticks (e.g. Boots 17). I have alays been reasonable happy with them, but as I suffer from dry lips I can't seem to wear them to often. I decided to treat myself to a more expensive one, in the hope that it would make my lips look more moist and that I could therefore wear it more of the time. I was going abroad to a wedding, so this seemed like an ideal treat. It was expensive at £22 from my local department store, Fenwicks, but I hoped it would be well worth it. I bought it in a light pink shade as I hoped it would be generic and long lasting so it could almost be seen as in investment. The lipstick comes in very classy ... Read the complete review

I first experienced Chanel lipstick when I was trying out makeup for my wedding. I went to the Chanel counter as their makeup had been recommended to me by a friend who said that it will last a long time during the day. The assistant at the counter tried a few lipsticks with me after I told her that I wanted a natural look that would last a long time during my Wedding. I eventually chose a light brown lipstick and liner with a clear gloss to go over the top. As this was a natural look choice for my Wedding day, I also chose a browny red shade for nights out! I have tried many different brands of lipstick and Chanel is really one of my favourites. It ... Read the complete review

I've got a great deal of time for Chanel makeup. Sure, it's expensive, but it's so full of pigment that you'll find it lasts much longer than a lot of other brands, even the high end ones. If you're susceptible to dry or bitty lips, then the Hydrabase range is for you. The lipstick really does moisturise, smooth out and plump up your lips, which is something I've not found with many brands. The colours are wonderful, too; the nice thing about Chanel is that they get the sought-after, fashionable colours in months before many of the other companies do. Remember Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction? That was Chanel's Rouge Noir, which was ... Read the complete review

Essential lipstick! This product comes in an array of colours but I only use the darkest reds so demand good colour destiny and coverage which this product certainly delivers. Finding that exact shade of red is never easy and Chanel delivers in droves with this lipstick. Once in place it stays, is durable and does not leave that awful lipstick mark on a glass, cigarette or your boyfriend's collar. I use a lipstick brush for this lipstick as it is so good that to apply direct is overkill but doing that means it lasts longer. Packaged in classic Chanel black, these look so good when you take them out to touch up. Chanel also do a range of excellent ... Read the complete review

If you like rich and creamy lipsticks but don't mind paying extra for them then head down to your local Chanel counter. The Chanel Hydrabase lipstick is an astounding product that has classy and sophisticated packaging with a product inside that does not fail to impress. The packaging is designed well in order for comfortable application. The lipstick itself has a moisturising formula with a deep satin effect coverage. Due to the fact that it is enhanced with Vitamin E & Camomile, the lipstick has a soft, creamy and therapeutic feel. The shade that I use is 'Aura'. I find that it is a very subtle and sophisticated every day shade which gives me long ... Read the complete review
