      Lip gloss

      Claires accessories lip gloss

We seem to be spending a lot of time in Claires accessories and little Miss now enjoys perusing the goods!!

Every choice seems to take forever as weighs up her purchases- she is a much more careful and thoughtful shopper than I am. One of her more recent purchases was this as we call it her rainbow lip gloss.

The lip gloss comes packaged in a plastic case which is simple to open- just lift the flap and pull out the lip gloss. The lip gloss itself is an the usual lip gloss type of bottle with a sponge applicator. What convinced Little Miss to buy this is the myriad of colours- in stripes the lip gloss is red orange yellow green blue and purple. When we take the sponge out of the tube, however, thesponge is clear and when the lip gloss is applied to the lips, it's clear, so i think the colour must be on the bottle. The lip gloss itself has a nice fruity smell but no real taste to it, and it has a real shine. It doesn't last especially long and needs to be reapplied but I think this is the idea and youngsters tend to enjoy getting out their lip gloss! I think it's a bit sticky but this doesn't seem to bother Little Miss, so I can't condemn it for this because I don't believe it's marketed for my age group!

The warning on the back of the packaging tells me that it's not suitable for children under the age of 3 years because of small parts, but i think it's unsuitable for more reasons than the small parts- what child under the age of three would want lip gloss?

Costing £2.50 it's middle range price and good value because to me this is ideal for pocket money spends.

This is good value lip gloss for young girls, and although it's not something which would float my boat, Little Miss likes her new purchase. It looks pretty, has a nice shine, is colourless, and manages to keep lips moisturised.

A good quality novelty lip gloss which should appeal to young girls.

      Thanks for reading.
