Clinique's Moisture Sheer Lipsticks are ideal for those who don't like the full coverage of most normal lipsticks. As the name suggests, they provide sheer natural colour, and are not drying on the lips. A big advantage of these lipsticks over many others is that they provide SPF15; most of us realise how important it is to protect our skin from the sun and wear sunscreen on our faces each day, but people often forget to protect their lips too. I think that the packaging of the Moisture Sheer Lipsticks is great. The tube is a shiny silver cylinder with a strip of bright pink colour going around it in the centre. The tube is very slim (the length is almost 8 1/2cm and the width is just over 1cm) which makes it ideal for carrying around with you in your pocket or handbag each day. Each tube contains 1.6g of product (this isn't stated on the tube - I found it on the Clinique website). The lipstick is very easy to apply. You can apply it with a lip brush, but I think that it looks great applied straight from the tube. The tube has the usual mechanism - you twist the bottom of the tube to push the product upwards so that you can apply it. Clinique Moisture Sheer Lipsticks provide a sheer wash of colour, but not so sheer that it doesn't look like you are wearing any colour on your lips. The finish is slightly glossy and the lipstick feels lovely and moisturising on my lips (please note that my lips are in good condition anyway - I would say that if your lips are really dry and in need of intense moisture then this lipstick probably wouldn't help to improve the condition of them). The lipstick is very comfortable to wear. It doesn't even feel like I have any lipstick on when I wear these, which is why I think that they are great for people who don't normally like wearing lipst
ick. The staying power of the Moisture Sheer Lipsticks isn't as good as the staying power of most lipsticks. It's not bad though, and is what you'd probably expect from a sheer, slightly glossy moisturising lipstick. I find that I get through a tube quite quickly, due to the colour not lasting long, and due to the fact that the tube doesn't contain all that much product. Clinique's Moisture Sheer Lipsticks come in around 16 shades of violets and berries, roses and pinks, reds and corals and browns/nudes. The colours that I own are: * Sheer Petal - a very natural looking light pink * Pink Charm - a pretty medium pink * Sheer Natural - a natural peachy-pinky-brown Clinique's Moisture Sheer Lipsticks are £12 each, and can be bought from most department stores.

Clinique Moisture Sheer Lipstick SPF15--Not the Best Moisturizing Lipstick Available - Advantages: Feels good when you first apply it, Soothing, Sheer nude is a great color for those who like the natural look - Disadvantages: Wears off very quickly--gone in about a 1/2 hour to an hour, While it moisturizes lips at first, as it wears off, it dries them out--making them cracked and sore, Pricey

I just had to write and tell you all about this great lippy I have found!!! I was browsing around the makeup counters this saturday morning when I came across the clinique counter. I noticed some shiny new tubes in the lipstick range and being a sucker for great packaging I was straight over there to test it out. I must say I wasn't dissappointed either. The lipstick is new in the Clinique range. It is different to your usual block colour lippy it is a sheer colour. This is particularly brilliant if you like the more natural look as I do. ~~~~Colour Choices~~~~~~ The range comes in four shade groups and there are three shades in each group. NOSHOWS/NUDES/NATURALS Sheer Spice Nude Glow Sheer Natural TAWNIES/CORALS/REDS Tulip Ruby Kiss Honey Red PINKS/ROSES/FUCHSIAS Sheer Petal Pink Charm Pink Blast VIOLETS/BLUES/BERRIES Tender Mauve Rich Cherry Sweet Violet If you would like to see colour swatches of this range go to:http://www.clinique.co.uk/whatsnew/whats_new_msheer_0502.jhtml?desc1=&desc2= This will take you directly to this product on the Clinique web site. None of the colours are particularly bright or a block colour as the name of the lipstick suggests this is a sheer colour. The colour I chose was Sheer Natural. This is a nude shade. It doesn't really give your lips much colour, however, what it does do is enhance the look of your natural lips. It makes them look full, moist and they will have a medium shine. The colour I chose would suit absolutely everyone. A great colour choice if you are colour shy, love the natural look or you just need something to wear on a day to day basis with your jeans and a t-shirt. ~~~~~~The Features and benefits~~~~~ You get 1.6g of product, which for £11.50 is quite expensive even for Clinique. If you buy one of there normal "bullet&
quot; type lipsticks they are 4g in weight for the same price. I haven't actually bought one of the other lipsticks so I cannot compare the actual product. One thing I will say is that the packaging is not as stylish! If you like to chop and change colours with the season then this 1.6g lipstick should last you throughout the summer, so no wastage. The Moisture Sheer Lipstick also contains a SPF of 15 (the other bullet lipstick by Clinique does not). Having a SPF of 15 for the summer months is great, your lips will be well protected. I don't know of many cheaper lipsticks that contain a SPF, so this is definitely a bonus. The lipstick is easily applied to the lips, no dragging, which is a problem I have had with many lipsticks. It makes your lips feel wonderfully moist and after looking in the mirror I can see that it also makes my lips look moist too, this is a very sexy look especially for the summer when lips can look dry and cracked with the sun. There is no sticky feeling with this lipstick, just softness and suppleness. There also is no heavy lipstick feeling whatsoever, it almost feels as if you are not wearing any lipstick. When worn the colour lasts a reasonably long time. If you eat or drink a hot drink then it will need to be reapplied. So if you need a product that you only put on once a day and have colour all day then this is not the product for you. However, as I mentioned before, this product contains a sun protection factor and if you want to use this protection, as with all SPF's these need to be reapplied during the day to really be effective. ~~~~~Packaging~~~~~~~ I have put this under its own title as I know that many of us girlies love packaging and I feel that this is especially true of lipsticks as most of us will retouch a lippy during the day. How great is it to pull a gorgeously packaged lipstick from your handbag with all your friends or colleagues drooling over your new l
ippy. The box this item comes in is the usual Clinique box. Which is mainly peach in colour with yellow/green leaf/flower patterns on it. A very girlie box indeed. The lipstick itself comes in a wonderfully modern silver slimline stick. Not your usual bullet design. It is 8 and a half cm long and 12mm wide. The lid slides down to fit half way down the stick and in the middle is shiny pink metal which I think looks very stylish. Also on the top of the lid there is a letter C. ~~~~~~More Great Reasons To Buy This~~~~~~ Infact eight great reasons to buy this!!!! If you buy two products from the Clinique range at the moment from your House of Fraser stores you will also get eight free gifts! My little box of tricks contained: Rinse-off Foaming Cleanser 30ml Clarifying Lotion 2 60ml Dramatically Different Moist 15ml Total Turnarount Skin Renewer 7ml Soft Pressed Blusher (+brush) 1.1g High Impact Eye Shadow .8g Long Last Lipstick 4g Happy Body Cream 40ml This is a great way of trying the Clinique 3 Step Program, and some of there makeup. ~~~Help and Advice~~~~ If you go to the Clinique web site WWW.clinique.co.uk There is a questionnaire that you can fill in, this will give you your skin typing. Then when looking around the site suggestions will be given to you about skin care that will suit you. They will also give you advice on colours that will suit your skin tone. You can then order this product at home using the Boots (www.wellbeing.com) or Debenhams (www.debenhams.co.uk) web sites. ~~~summary~~~~~ This is the best new lipstick I have found this year. If you love sheer or nude lip colours then this is the range for you. The price is a little expensive, however, I feel you get what you pay for. Some of the sheer colours which also give y
our lips a sheen from other ranges I have found to be a little heavy, sticky and not as sheer as I would like them to be. The SPF contained in this product is great especially as we are coming into the summer months now and (hopefully) we are going to see alot of Mr Sun! The packaging is also very stylish. so even though you may find you have to reapply you won't mind abit as it will give you an excuse to get out and show of this gorgeously packaged product.
