      Good premium blusher

Although not the cheapest powder blusher on the market (£22) this is my first choice. Clinique are an established premium cosmetic brand and their make up and skincare is available in larger Boots and Department Stores at their dedicated counters. The item comes boxed and within in a clear plastic case, with a mirrored lid is the blusher.

The case contains 6g of blusher which doesn't sound a lot, but you only use a little. I think my current one has lasted ages, and still has a way to go. The lid is mirrored inside and there is a space for the supplied brush. The brush is of excellent quality, and is shaped to help application and shading.

I prefer col 110 'Precious Posy' which is a coral/pink shade. As mentioned, the shaped blush means a few sweeps of powder across my cheeks are sufficient. The blusher is a pressed powder so there is no wastage. It looks natural and just enhances my naturally pale skin, making me look more human and less corpse like!

If I could change anything I would make it stay on my cheeks a bit longer, but I have to say that this is mostly down to me and my (bad) habit of resting my chin/face on my hands at my desk meaning make up has a bit of a battle to stay on. However when I am out and about and not rubbing my face, it stays on just fine, so I am not sure it is fair to state this is a disadvantage.

As mentioned the price is expensive and it means I sometimes hesitate before purchasing. However the quality of the product, the elegant packaging and a decent brush usually means I'll fork out for this over one of the High Street brands that don't supply a brush and look cheap.

The best blusher out there - also the most value for money!

I am a big Clinique fan, know their products well and this is by far their best blusher. I have this product in Bashful blush and Innocent peach and wear one of them everyday. I bought them both way back in 2009 and both palettes are still very full. Yes, that's right. After nearly 4 years I have not run out! This is because the pigmentation of the blusher is so dense. This is why some of the colours, such as the one in the photo, look too strong to be wearable or look natural. The product has been designed so you only need to use a smidgen. Just gently sweep the blusher brush over the palette once and you more than enough product for both cheeks. Also, the range of shades suit all eye colours and skin tones.

The design of the brush is gorgeous as well. It fits nicely into the packaging so you won't lose it and there is a mirror on the inside of the lid for on the go application. The brushes are very soft and durable (they are still in very good condition after 4 years) and the bristles are cut at an angle guiding the user in how to apply it perfectly along the cheekbones.

      A nice blusher from Clinique

I always buy my foundation from Clinique and last time I was at the counter they had a deal on where if I purchased 2 items I got a free gift. As I needed new blusher at the time and I don't yet have a favourite blusher, I bought one of the Clinique Powder Blushes.

There are a variety of shades to choose from in this blusher range, names and descriptions (where applicable) as per the Clinique website are listed below:
      Bashful blush
Aglow - a soft coppery nude with golden pearl
Sunset glow - a mid tone redish bronze
Smouldering plum - a heathered purple
Iced lotus - a blue blue pink with white shimmer
Pink posy - an energetic pink peach with gold pearl
      Pink love
      Innocent peach

I chose the "pink posy" shade as I thought this colour would suit me best. I prefer pink, girly blushers.

The blusher comes in a rectangular shaped, shiny silver compact. When you open the compact it is split into two sections, one containing the blusher and the other containing a brush to apply it. The brush itself is quite small and it requires a few strokes to apply enough blusher onto my face. For this reason if I am applying the brusher at home I just use my standard size blusher brush, and save the little brush that comes in the set only for use when I am out and about and want to touch up my make up. Despite being a small brush, the bristles are soft and the blusher clings to them well, allowing for a relatively easy application. There is a mirror on the inside of the compact which makes it handy to apply on the go.

I find that this blusher transfers from the blusher brush onto my skin really easily. The 'pink posy' shade that I chose colours my cheeks a natural shade of pink that doesn't stand out too much or look too bright, but is still a nice feminine colour. More or less can be applied as required to build the right colour intensity.

One of my favourite things about this blusher is that it is really long lasting. Even 10 to 12 hours after application, it is still in place on my face and doesn't fade much. In the past I have bought other expensive blushers that are barely visible after a couple of hours but that isn't the case with this Clinique blusher.

This blusher is oil free so doesn't make my face look shiny or greasy in any way. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin in any way. As Clinique are well known for their skin products it is safe to say that this blusher is good quality and I would agree with their claim that it is suitable for all skin types.

This blusher cost me £21 for 6g of product. I do think that this is pricey but don't mind paying it for something that is good quality. I would recommend it, and am giving it a 4 star rating, taking 1 star off because of the very small brush and the cost. Thanks for reading/rating.

      5 stars

My daughter bought me this blush for Christmas and it is just lovely. I like to have nice make up but sometimes cannot warrant the high price tag of Clinique so it's lovely when I get a Clinique product as a gift.

This comes beautifully presented in a glass case. The top of the case is silver and so shiny you can see yourself in it and is very sleek with just the 'Clinique' written on it in grey. Inside you get two sections these being the blush section and the brush section.

The brush is really lovely it's not like other blusher brushes as it's flat. The brush itself is about 7cm and half way along it the bristles begin. The handle is see-through plastic and is flat and the brush is very soft and flat. It has a slight shape to it which makes applying it more natural.

I find that although this is not a big brush at all it is perfectly fine, it's comfortable to hold and is actually easier to apply with it being short as you have more control over it than you would with a longer blusher brush. The thickness of the brush itself is just perfect- not too big and not too thin.

The blush area is about the size of the brush which doesn't sound like it's big but it's very well compacted so it will last a long time despite it maybe not looking like it. The blush comes away onto the brush easily and then transfers onto the skin with no problem. I find that just using one stroke is usually enough for one cheek and that is really good as it shows it's quality, it's not like when you need to use lots and lots just to get it to show up.

I like the colour of this on my skin, it's a very natural colour which isn't too bright and it is long lasting. I put this on before an event and it's usually still in place in the evening. I always remove it with make up remover as I don't like the thought of it in my pores when I go to sleep. It comes away with make up remover quite easily.

I think this is a really lovely blush. It is easy to apply and very good quality. I like how the brush fits inside the case yet that doesn't compromise on how practical it is. Oh also inside the case is a mirror which takes up the whole of the inside of the lid. This is very useful having it all in one.

I think it costs about £16 and I think that is expensive compared to other brands but it is such good quality and very reliable so worth it.
