Advantages: lasts well, natural look
Disadvantages: packaging and the silly little brush you get with it!
I don't wear blusher that often, but after I saw an article in a magazine about peach blusher being the new thing, I decided I wanted some! Tracking down a peach tone blusher was not as easy as I thought, Bourjois seemed to have the biggest selection, but they all seemed a bit too shimmery for my liking, so I ended up buying a cheap one from Collection 2000 as I don't wear blusher that often and I always get bored of things really quickly anyway, so it seemed pointless spending lots of money.
~Packaging~
This comes in a dark blue pot with a clear plastic window through which you can see the product and has silver writing. You do get a brush with this blusher, but is a very small one - and in my opinion too small to use, as I think it would probably cause a streaky effect.
~Using it~
The colour I bought (pink blossom -even though I swear down it's actually peach!) was quite pale and as I swept my brush (my normal, big blusher brush, not that piddly little thing that comes with it!) across the powder, I found it hard to tell if the brush had picked any up. The powder felt light on my skin, and swept on with a fairly flawless finish. I did have to build it up a bit, by applying a few layers of powder, but I guess that this was more due to the colour I chose and the reddish tones of my skin than the actual product itself.
~Results~
This gave a fantastic natural look, it didn't look too heavy or over the top, which, as someone who doesn't use blusher often, I was fairly pleased about. It also had a subtle shimmer, which made my skin look healthy and glowing. I found that it lasted well too - most of the day, without having to re-apply at all.
~Price~
This was, I believe, about £2.99 from Boots, although I'm not completely certain. It was definitely between £2 and £3 and next time I am in Boots I will double check and update the review if I'm wrong.
~Summary~
To summarise, this is a great blusher, that lasts a surprisingly long time. The downsides are the small brush it is supplied with, and the packaging is not great. Overall though, I would recommend giving this a try.
Summary: Fantastic blusher for those on a budget!
