Advantages: Cheap, lasts ages in the tube, tames eyebrows brilliantly

Disadvantages: Makes the tube dirty as hell

The other day I was out having a shopping day with my Mother. It's always lethal to go shopping with her because I always end up spending more money than I should to keep up with her! Well we were in Boots browsing at the make up counters for some brown eye-shadows for her (she broke her one compact last week lol) and I was stood perusing the shelves thinking ok I can afford some new stuff if I want it...but really...I could sell Boots some stuff back! I own way too much make up, I really do! I'm sure half of over 850 of my reviews are about make up and I never really kick stuff out as often as I should. It's everywhere in my bedroom and I have little room to breath out lol.

So I needed nothing at all but I was hanging around waiting for my Mother impatiently tapping me feet and sending pointless joke texts to my mates when I just had to start looking myself and stop fighting the urge any longer lol.

The compromise for me was to look at cheaper brands of make up like this and Miss-sporty and stuff like that. I looked for special offers as I couldn't justify another tenner on something else from urban Decay (my favourite brand at the moment). One thing I did think may come in useful was a clear mascara and within the 'Colour Lash Mascara line from Collection 2000 was £1.99. Colours are also available in this range and I saw this in blue, green, brown and black as well as this clear one that took my fancy.

The Packaging....

8ml clear, long plastic tub with silver lid/handle at one end that holds the long white plastic 'wand' and has a clear long brush on the end of it. In silver writing I'm told it's Collection 2000, Colour Lash 'All Day Lasting Wear Mascara'. I'm then told it 'Conditions & Separates Lashes. Smudgeproof & Protein Enriched'. The size and recycle symbol are on there and finally contact details for Collection 2000 are given. It doesn't scream it's cheap and actually looks quite classy really!

Using It....

Well I'm in two minds about this product to be honest with you. I just can't really decide what I categorically think about it so I will purely tell you my thoughts and you decide what I think!

Firstly the brush is excellent to be fair and being a clear mascara it's incredibly simple to apply either to eyebrows or eyelashes. You simply pull out the wand and stroke where desired... it really is that simple. However the problem is if you have used foundation or any kind of powder on the face. The brush removes it and if you don't keep wiping your brush clean after each use the colour gets into the clear tube making it look really cloudy and grimy. Personally I never clean my brush as I go as I don't have the time!

For eyebrows it tames them into place in a light, glossy and natural way. I have long bushy eyebrows made up a few long hairs and this 'sets' them all day long framing my eyes really well and brilliant in windy weather lol. This is a real plus point with this product to me, however it is a mascara!

On eyelashes although it's easy to apply and very slightly glossy it only defines what you have already so if you start off with limp and sparse eyelashes that's what you end up painting. It doesn't thicken, lift or straighten anything for you. It is comfortable to wear but on my eyelashes quite pointless really and doesn't do much at all. I have lighter eyelashes at the roots going into darker and of course this contains no colour to even that out. The gloss isn't enough in any respect and you can't tell I have anything on in any way at all really.

Overall....

I think it stays put all day but I can't see it on my eyelashes. Eyebrows it does tame without a shadow of a doubt. Is it worth the money? Well it lasts ages and ages in the tube and it's one of those product that if you really wanted a clear mascara I'd definitely say to pay this £1.99 as I can't see what else you'd get from something with a more expensive price tag with it. It is comfortable enough to wear with no adverse side effects and is quick and simple to remove as you can't see it or feel it on the face when wearing it anyway lol.

All in all it's ok I suppose!

Can be found in chemists and supermarkets and as I mentioned earlier mine came from Boots!

Summary: The decision is yours lol

Nice humorous review but my eyelashes are definitely limp and sparse so no use to me!
