Collection 2000 Eye Shadow
Advantages: Brush came with it
Disadvantages: Everything else!
Now usually i would opt for a more expensive brand of eyeshadow as in my eyes 'better price means better quality' such as rimmel or max factor. However, i was pleasently suprised in some ways with the collection 2000 eyeshadow, but unfortunately more dissapointed as i expected.
I personally bought the brown trio with a dark brown, medium brown then a light creamy/goldy colour as i thought it would be great for subtle work/daytime wear. The price was very good, at just over £2 so i couldn't really complain. There was a large range of colours to choose from with blues, greens, browns and much more. The idea of the 3in1 to give that 'smokey eyed' look was fantastic too.
Now the packaging was pretty basic in just a purply case with a decent lid so you know this won't spill in your bag. Ideally, a small brush was included which is a must for eyeshadows and some brands could learn a thing or two from that! The brush was great, gave even coverage and really held the colour well. However, not much long after the brush became flimsy and eventually snapped off, leaving me brushless! And now that really annoys me.
The application itself was very easy but the colours weren't really what i expected, they werent that rich of a shade but instead a slight coverage leaving you have to put so many layers on, really wasting time and effort. Especially, on a rush to work in the morning, its not the best thing. Even the darkest brown was still not that dark, looked more like a light/medium brown and when your trying to achieve that smokey eyed look it really doesnt work. So if you want a colour you can see, i wouldn't reccomend the collection 2000 eyeshadows!
However, it did last rather long, id say on average a few hours which isn't bad but compared to other brands who state an '8 hour coverage' then it was rather dissapointing. I found that the more i put on, the longer it would last so after a while the colour was gone anyway! I found the darker colours would last longer than the light goldy colour but by the end of the night the tops of your eyelids would have one big dark line on your crease then at the end too, not very attractive at all. Other brands i have used don't do that to my eyes, instead leaving me still with a refreshing, effective look.
Overall, not bad for the money but im sure you could find better for that price!
Summary: Choose another brand!
