Price and Availability
Collection 2000 is a widely available make up brand that can be found at Boots, Superdrug, Lloyds, ASDA, Morrisons, Tesco, Gordons and Wilkinson, as well as from many online retailer. These lipsticks are part of their core line and are sod at £2.99. They come in a wide range of colours, most widely available include:
* Queen of hearts
* Pink Shock
* Sugar Plum
* Sweet heart
* Vintage Rose
* Mango Tango
* Birthday suit
They can be found on eBay from £1.75 depending on the shade you wan, the shade I have is Valentine which starts at £1.99.
The packaging is nice and simple it is a glossy black tube with a slanted curved lid. There is a bright purple metallic rectangle on the seam and a swirly pattern in the same colour on the top. There is no writing on the tube at all just a sticker on the base that says ' Lasting Colour' 'Collection BA14OXB England' 12 Valentine. The sticker is meant to be the same colour as the lipstick but mine is quite a lot darker than the actual colour.
The one down side I will add about the packaging is that the plastic does seem a bit thin and flimsy and I do worry that it will crack although it has not so far.
The lipstick has a lovely fruity scent which is nice as I do quite like scented make up. I think it adds to the fun of getting dressed up. I guess this might not be the same for someone who wears a lot of make up every day.
The lipstick feels really thick and nourishing when you apply it, it even feels creamy. The colour comes out really strong and bright. The shade I have is ‘Valentine’ it is a shocking bright red colour and is quite daring. I don’t wear it very often, only if I am getting really dressed up for something. It’s a bit 50s Glam. This can be worn with just one coat as it is very bright and it is easy to apply so nice and quick basically. It says that it lasts all day but that is a bit far-fetched. It will quick easily last half the day though and think that is pretty good for a £3 lippy.
Overall I think these lipsticks are really good, they come in a good range of vibrant colours, and they are reasonably priced and last a long enough time considering their price point. I think if you fancy grabbing a few cheap and cheerful lippies you can’t go far wrong with these.

This is a review on the collection 2000 lasting colour lipstick. Collection is a uk brand that most people love. They are known for lasting perfection concealer. They have been around for many years. There lipstick are very creamy in texture. They glide on the lips without dragging at all. They are not drying and do not bleed throughout the day. They are very pigmented especially if you get a brighter colour like the red or the pink shade. The are very long lasting and will stay on most of the day. They do look nicer with lip liner as it gives the lips more definition and it makes the colour pop out more. Overall I do think these lipstick are great for the price as they are only £2.99 in most shops like superdrug or boots. The packaging could have been a bit better but what do you except for such a bargain price. Would rate them 4/5 xxx Imogen.
I tend to avoid lipsticks that claim to be long lasting because they nearly always dry out my lips even if they come with a soothing balm or promises to be moisturising. I bought a Collection lasting colour Lipstick without really thinking about the name, because l liked a particular colour - Sugar Plum. I read the product description afterwards and hoped this lipstick would be the exception that really did work. I paid just £2.99 in Boots so I wasn't that hopeful..
WHAT IT PROMISES
I tend to have a mixed bag of results with Collection 2000 products - some are great despite their price, others not. I do think they have improved a lot on quality and range since their early days though. I have noticed that although the company have shortened their name to Collection from Collection 2000, this lipstick is still listed under the former name on both Superdrug's and Boots websites and my local Wilkinson still displays the old name on their stand. The make up itself has the shorter name on the packaging just to confuse things.
Collection say this lipstick will last all day without drying out my lips, and that it has a "luxurious" creamy feel. The colours are supposed to be bright and bold but the range is quite limited compared to some - there are currently 11 shades. A couple aren't what I would call especially bold either - there's a pale pink for example, but they do seem to have covered the main trends including for peachy and orange tones if that's what you are after. I wanted something a bit more boring so the plum suited me fine.
The packaging doesn't look like it belongs to a product calling itself luxurious. I don't care much about that these days but I do think the lack and dark pink tube looks simple and a bit flimsy - what you would expect for the price. The lid end has a slanted edge like some of the other Collection lippies. That doesn't really have a purpose but it is the one distinctive feature. The lipstick rolls up and down easily which is the main thing for me.
The lipstick has a slight scent - quite sweet and a little fruity. I don't really like scented lip products in general but this one isn't too strong and you only smell it briefly when putting it on. It doesn't have a particular taste which would be worse for me as it would probably be more lingering.
I thought the lipstick felt quite think when I first put it on. This is obviously especially true if you blot and layer it. I have got more used to it now but I don't enjoy wearing it that much compared to others. I prefer to use just the one layer but of course this effects how long it lasts. It does feel a bit creamy but there are many lipsticks I think are better in this regard - including the cheap MUA ones from a similar price band. I don't feel the lippie much after a little while and it certainly looks smooth and nice on so I am happy enough to keep using it.
I do agree that it doesn't dry out my lips in the slightest. I don't think they feel actively moisturised on the other hand but I suppose that would be asking too much for the price!
I saw a description of this lip stick on a website which called it matte - I don't know if some colours in the range are but Sugar Plum definitely isn't. It does actually look a little like that in the tube but on the lips where it matters, it has a glossy sheen. I really like it as it is definite but not too shiny and it doesn't feel sticky like a similar lip gloss usually does. The colour pigment is excellent and I think this would be especially important when buying one of those bold shades. The colour in the tube is exactly what's on the lips. I think the colour I chose goes well with my pale skin - it really seems to lift my complexion and add some nice healthy looking colour!
BUT DOES IT LAST?
Yes and no. If I don't eat or drink, the colour stays strong for a few hours even if I just apply the one layer. Blotting makes a difference to most lipsticks I find and if I then layer up I can get this to last maybe 4-5 hours at best.. that is hardly exceptional. When I ha my first cup of coffee when wearing this ( with the blot and reapply method ) I was quite pleased that my lipstick wasn't completely destroyed - the colour wasn't as vivid but it was still there enough to be noticeable. If I then have lunch, I am afraid the colour can't survive that. There is always some imprinted on my coffee cup so it definitely isn't completely transfer proof. I have also tried lightly powdering over my lips which often gets a lipstick to last longer for me but it doesn't really work with this one. It made the colour look weaker in the first place. I can't get this to last all day, and I would be surprised if anyone who ate or just drank a few times could either. At least it doesn't "bleed" or prove hard to get off at the end of the day.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS LIPSTICK?
I really like the colour and as it is cheap, I would repurchase it but if I could find a similar one from a different brand that felt less thick or really did last longer, I would buy that instead even if it cost me more. I wouldn't recommend this if you really want a lipstick that can last all day. If you don't mind reapplying though, and don't mind a thicker texture in lipstick, I would say this is an inexpensive product with good pigment while it lasts. I have however decided to award 3 stars because it doesn't live up to it's main selling point of lasting all day for me, even if it stays around a bit longer after a cup of coffee than some.
You can buy Collection make up from Boots, Superdrug, Wilkinson, some supermarkets, Amazon, and lots of places online.
This is a lipstick from the "Collection" make up brand. The product claims to create statement lips that last. It is available in a variety of shades and the example I will be reviewing is the "bubblegum" shade which is a very bright mid pink. I bought this because I wanted to try something completely different compared to my other lipsticks and thought it would be a fun colour for the summer.
The packaging consists of a small black plastic tube. On the bottom is a sticker in the colour of the lipstick and it states the name and number of the shade. It also has the manufacturer's address. On the top of the lid is a design in a shiny pink swirl. The lid clicks strongly onto the base of the lipstick which means it doesn't fling off in your handbag. When removing the lid there is a silver case for the lipstick, twisting the base of the product makes the lipstick appear.
This product is available in Boots for £2.99.
All in all I feel this product is pretty good. The lipstick itself is very moisturising and the pigmentation is very good. The lipstick also includes SPF 15 which is part of the reason I bought it because it was definitely a summer colour.
The angled tip of the lipstick makes it easy to apply to the corners of the lips and gives an even coverage. The "bubblegum" shade is quite a shocking colour to be honest and it only really suited me with a tan, it's very in your face but I thought it would be ideal for my holidays. Think Nicki Minaj and that's probably a bang on description! Because of this I don't wear the lipstick as often any more but I stumbled across it in my collection the other day and remembered being happy with its performance just not so much the colour as it's not really a day to day shade.
The lipstick itself is very good though and you also get quite a lot of product for your money so I will be going to Boots soon to purchase the colour in a slightly more friendly shade.
The lipstick lasted very well for it's price, even in holiday heat. I felt I needed to reapply every 4 hours or so but even when the lipstick faded it wasn't patchy and just looked as though you had a tint to your lips.
Overall a good product just not a very good shade if wanting to wear daily. It definitely creates "statement lips" as the description suggests.
I bought this lipstick from Boots last week after I felt I deserved a little treat. This lipstick only cost me £2.99, which is the RRP, not a sale price as you may be thinking. I bought the shade 'sweet tart' (number 8). It is a bright almost-barbie-pink shade that stands out from my very fair skin and compliments it beautifully. I wear it as a statement 'accessory' when I am wearing little eye-makeup and it looks fabulous. I imagine that it would suit any skin tone, from snow-white skin tones to dark skin tones.
The lipstick itself is very creamy and is highly pigmented, so the shade in the tube is the same shade that appears on your lips. I always wear my lipstick with a thin layer of lip-balm underneath, so I can't comment on whether or not it is drying, however I have noticed that sometimes it emphasises any deep lines in your lips. It is also a good consistency and lasts a good 2-3 hours before it starts to fade, which is excellent considering the amazing price!
The packaging is a black plastic tube, which a pink line around the base of the lid and a pink swirly logo on the end. It is the perfect size for sliding in your handbag, not so big that it weighs you down, and not so small that you lose it.
Overall, I am very happy with this lipstick and, considering the amazing price, I think it is excellent value for money. Although I'm sure there are probably other lipsticks out there that are better than this, this one can definitely give them a run for their money!
For me one of the easiest ways of updating my look is with a new lipstick. I usually opt to buy a Boots No7 one and I like Urban Decay and Max Factor but I'm trying really hard at the moment to curb my spending on me and trying to get my home looking nicer coming up to Spring lol.
However, I still want things but I've been buying things alot more cheapily than before, trying out cheaper brands.
Collection 2000 at the moment is one of the cheapest brands about along with Miss Sporty. I was loving MUA as well sold at Superdrug but just before Christmas they stopped selling that so I took to looking at the shades of lippy available from this range and I actually ended up buying rather a few bits and pieces.
At £2.99 and 11 shades available in Superdrug when I was looking I felt spoilt for choice. I think there are plenty to choose from and I really couldn't decide on one but in the end I opted for the Mango Tango colour however the colours available go from a rather nude shade to a bright red, so there should be something to tickle most ladies fancy!
The packaging though is a bit crass really. The lipstick comes in a black and pink tube and we're basically told what it is on it and the colour an contact details for the manufacturer are given. Its nothing to write home about, its a twist up down design with an easy to pull on off lid and its robust enough.
The Lipstick Itself:
Well like I say I went for the mango tango colour, a sort of coral, peachy and slightly brown shade. Its glossy though not too much so and glides on to the lips with ease. If I put one layer of this on and then drink, eat or smoke it comes of all to easily so with this one I apply, blot, apply and blot again to sink the colour into my lips.
My colour is lovely and once I've followed the above way of application I find that it does stay put for a good couple of hours without 'bleeding' or anything the only problem is that although I can get it to stay put longer with the above method I do lose the gloss finish sadly.
However I do like this lipstick don't get me wrong. For me I wear this in the day time, its subtle, an unusual colour and is lightweight on my lips, so I can forget its there. You get plenty of it for its price tag and on it doesn't feel cheap, just a shame about its packaging!
Available in all good chemists etc.

*apologies in advance if my review seems to have bad grammar, my caps lock button is getting stuck so it's hit and miss but i shall persevere with it*
Despite owning a lot of make up products I dont think Im too high maintainance-my staple products are concealer and blusher and with that Im out the door! Sometimes though when i feel like a boost i often indulge in a new make up product. This time I wanted to try a new lipstick. This is a product I usually reserve for nights out, and I find I dont like the 'feel' a lot of lipsticks give when applied, like a heavy feeling on your lips you just want to wipe off!
I wanted a matte baby pink colour, a bit like the sellout 'Pink Friday',the Nikki Minaj collaboration lippy that MAC brought out that is now selling on Ebay for quadruple the retail price. The lipstick I bought, Collection 2000 lasting colour lipstick in shade 6 'Bubblegum' is an identikit of the MAC one, only its a fraction of the cost at a very reasonable £2.99 from Superdrug. Its a really vibrant pink shade, if not a bit garish but if you like statement lips this one's for you.
It comes in a stylish black twist-up tube with a hot pink swirly pattern at the end. The lipstick bullet itself is creamy in consistency and gives a matte finish when applied. It's got a nice fruity scent too and you can't help but have a sniff before applying.
The downfall of this lipstick is that it simply didn't last, despite being named 'lasting colour'. It faded quicker then I could say 'smile', and this was without eating/drinking or snogging the face of a bloke. I also found that when it faded, it left a 'halo' effect, like I'd just applied lipliner but forgot to apply the lipstick-which isn't a good look!
I was expecting more from this lipstick, it just didn't have any staying power whatsoever! Im going to give it 2 stars as it was cheap and the colour was nice, but apart from that this is one that will probably end up in my bin :(
Avoid if you need a lipstick that stays put for longer.
I bought this last weekend from Boots as it was only £2.99 (RRP, not special offer/sale). The lipstick is available in lots of colours including light pinks, beiges, purples, reds etc. Each shade has its own unique name. I have this in 'Valentine' which is a medium, subtle shade of red. The packaging is quite basic and it is black with a pull-off lid which has pink detailing on it. I don't like the pink bits on the lid as I think it makes it look a bit tacky but for £2.99 i'm not going to complain!
The tube is made of a flimsy plastic and it's overall very average - nothing special. The lipstick itself is like any other lipstick, a nice shape for easy application and a tip that provides just the right amount of coverage. Application is extremely easy, the tube is easy to hold steadily and there is no fiddling about due to the chunkiness of the lipstick. It is a very lightweight lipstick too (compared to my usual Lord & Berry lippy) so it is good for just sticking in my handbag for when I want a hint of colour.
The texture of this lipstick isn't very creamy - infact it's quite hard so it can't be blended or but can be used as a lipgloss base with minimal mess. It does feel quite heavy on my lips but not to the point where it feels uncomfortable or gloopy. The lipstick does not lather up into blobs at all and overall there are no problems with it. The pigmentation is great, it's a very bold and striking colour which is matt. I hate shiny lipstick and this doesn't have a shiny tint to it at all.
The lipstick does not feel moisturizing at all, however it does not dry my lips out or highlight and cracks in my lips and the lasting power is quite good - it needs topping up every couple of hours (around every 4 hours) but it doesn't fade after food and drink. It overall looks good and doesn't look like a cheap lipstick. There is no taste to the lipstick.
Smell wise, it smells like most other lipsticks with the average subtle waxy smell. The smell is not prominant nor is it unpleasent. Overall for the price I think this is a good product. The formula and pigmentation is good and so I can't really complain!
When it comes to lipstick I'm a love deep red colours. In fact, that's pretty much the only colour that suits me thus the only colour I ever really wear.
So when I saw this lipstick in the 'Queen of Hearts' shade I immediately had to buy it. It's a lovely 'blood red' shade and really stands out and looks great.
If this sort of colour isn't your thing, however, don't worry! This lipstick collection comes in wide range of colours, pinks, purples, reds and more natural colours are all available in many different shades so there is bound to be something that takes your liking.
This lipstick costs £2.99 which isn't badly priced at all. I've used lipsticks which cost a lot more that were no where as high quality as this one.
The packaging is very easy on the eye as well. A black tube with a metallic pink pattern on the top of the lid and matching matching border across the bottom of the lid. The usual sticker stating the colour and brand is found on the base of the lipstick as well.
When the lid is taken off a silver tube is revealed which is then twisted to expose your beautiful shade of lipstick which is then ready to apply.
This lipstick also has quite a fruity smell to it, none of those nasty make-up smells are present in this product which is handy considering it's made to be applied under your nose!
The actual quality of the lipstick is also pleasing. This lipstick is calling 'long lasting' and it lives up to those claims completely. There really is no need for endless trips to the toilet to reapply this during a night out. It can pretty much withstand any lip related tasks you throw at it and still looks as vibrant as when it was first applied.
It is also easy to apply. A genital rub across your lips brings out the colour smoothly and neatly without any lumps, bumps of excess colour clumping in the corners of your mouth.
All in all I would highly recommend this product. It's a great lipstick with an even better price.
I brought this a couple of days ago in red. although there are many lipsticks out there, that go on about how long it lasts... etc. Even though this isn't a big brand and the advertisment isn't out there on tv and billboards, doesnt mean it isnt going to be a let down. I have found this lipstick outstanding and it felt moisturising as well as vibrant. Although you have to apply it after a couple of hours or so. I used it on a night out and I must've only applied it twice, but for the whole night it wasn't a bother and it felt great wearing it! all the colours really stand out. I would advise lipstick lovers t try this one out. Dont't go for the big brands and price. If you use this I can promise that you will not be dissapointed and you money will be well spent.
I had never been a huge lipstick lover before recently, always being more of an eye make up person, but i decided i wanted to make a change. Since i was unsure at this point what kind of colour to go for, i didnt want to spend too much, but at the same time i didnt want the lipstick to be a terrible quality. Having heard good things about the collection 2000 lasting colour lipstick, i decided to give it a try, after all, its only £2.99 from boots, so it wouldnt be like i was wasting much money if i decided that actualy i would never be a huge lipstick fan.
The cheap price was an instant upside to this product before even purchasing, the next possitive point i noted before the purchase was the huge range of colours, available in 11 different colours, i knew one of these would have to suit me, a colour for everyone and ever occasion. I purchased in 2 different colours, because while i love the red lipstick look, i wasnt really sure it it was for me, with my very dark hair and very pale skin i have often found it difficult to find things that suit my colouring. I purchased in cherry bomb and queen of hearts. Queen of hearts is a more intensive bright red, while cherry bomb is a slightly more subtle red lipstick, I loved having such a huge range of choice when deciding on a colour.
For such a cheap price i wasnt sure as to what kind of quality to expect, i was concerned that the lipstick may cause my lips to dry out, or that if would be easily smudges out of place. But these worries were soon put to rest. This lipstick lasts hours on a night out, even while drinking it does not seem to rub off on the glasses, which is pretty unusual for a lipstick. This was certainly not a waste of money, i found the lipstick even seemed to moisturise my lips which was a huge bonus. The lipstick itslef is a pretty basic design, plain black, take the lid off to reveal the gold inside, the collection 2000 logo on the top of the lid, very basic, very simple, a very good lipstick thats well worth the money.
I had never been a collection 2000 fan at all in the past, finding the make up to be a get what you paid for kind of thing, this lipstick has changed my mind. I do not see the point in trying out a different lipstick when everything i want in a lipstick can be purchased for £2.99, something that is to become an essential in my make up bag, i will be buying again, and maybe testing out some of the other shades, bright, long lastiing, perfect lipstick, i would recommend to anyone.
"My Lipgloss is popping....."
I have never been a Lipstick girl...Lipgloss all the way, BUT times may have changed. My friends actually joke about my lipgloss antics "have you got any lipgloss?" because they all just know that I will have the minimum of 5 lipglosses in my handbag. I think the most frustrating thing about lipgloss is how fast it wears off...when you eat something, when you have a drink or give someone a kiss, it's gone. So I decided to buy a new lipstick, bright shades are very in at the moment and although she is very "out there" I am loving Nicki Minaj's lipstick colour and how she has made it her trademark. Looking at all of the different brands on offer I agreed with myself that since the whole lipstick thing was just a trial I wanted a cheap make so headed over to the Colletion 2000 stand.
Why this product?
Collection 2000 is not normally a brand I would go for, I'm far from a make-up snob I just know the brands I like and the ones that I tend to steer clear from. Looking at the different shades I soon found one that I loved. The shade I went for was a beautiful bright pink named "bubblegum" they have also recently revamped the line and the packaging looks great in shiny black with metallic pink writing, I don't actually think that it looks 'cheap' the shades look similar to the Mac/Bobbi brown colours - nice and bright. I didn't have high hopes for the product though and assumed once it was on it would become a little transparent and wear off very quick...
...I was wrong! It is VERY bright, too bright for my everyday wear so I put on my bubblegum apply a very small amount of concealer and then a shiny baby pink lipgloss on top to tone it done a little for every day wear. On a night out though I would just wear it loud and proud with a nice shiny gloss on top! Since wearing the shade I have had plenty of compliments which I really did not expect.
I am very happy with my purchase. It does not dry out my lips in the slightest and it gives a long lasting wear with SPF15 so it will be great for my holidays!!! It smells like strawberry fields and combined with the (also collection 2000) lipgloss I like to use with it my lips smell like strawberries & candy which suits me fine!!
See below a list of the other shades:

COLLECTION 2000's TOP TIPS:
"Bright, bold and colourful lips are a huge trend for spring/summer 2010. From vibrant corals and reds at Dior, Prada, and Dolce and Gabbana, to flashy fuchsia at Marc Jacobs, and punky purple at House Of Holland. Powerful pouts, is where it is at! Get the catwalk beauty looks with Collection 2000 new Lasting Colour Lipstick, a bang on trend selection with vibrant shades to suit every skin tone.
For bold lips try a red or coral shade, but keep the rest of your face simple with a flawless base and lashings of mascara. For a more vintage feel, simply add black liquid eyeliner with matte red lips. If you want to rock the bubblegum 80's pop chic, then team deep navy matte eye shadow with vivid pink lips.
Remember, a high impact pout is the simplest way to add colour to your face, but intense shades needs perfect application!"
I would certainly buy this product again, in ever colour!! I think it is fantastic and the price just makes it even better - at a crazy £2.99 it is a best buy!! I think my only catch is they state that the lipstick will last all day, I think that is a slight exaggeration to be honest, a few hours - yes but certainly not all day! I would 100% reccomend this product. Let me know your thoughts and as always if you have any problems please contact away :-)
<3 Lasting Colour <3
The usual price of this is around £2.99.
The lipstick comes in a black finger length plastic tube with a pull of lid.
On the top of the tube is a weird pink pattern of dots!
On the bottom is a bright pink sticker telling you what shade you have chosen.
When taking of the lid, the lipstick is stored in a silver plastic twist up smaller tube.
We all know Collection 2000, a cheap make up brand which offers a wide range of beauty products.
Lasting colour is a lipstick which claims to lock colour to your lips all day while making your lips look soft and smooth, not a flaw in sight!
It also contains a SPF 15, Collection 2000 first lipstick to do so.
The lipstick also claims that it is transfer and kiss proof.
11 shades are available, dark and light, some include:
- Coffee Break: This is the darkest shade of the Lasting Colour collection, a dark brown colour, would be great for a dramatic look and I also think this would look very natural and great on darker skin types depending on how heavily applied.
- Orange Punch: A very light orange, sounds scary but in fact its a lovely warm colour and would look natural on.
- Bubblegum: This is the one I have, a very bright bubbly barbie like pink, looks very girly and cute if put heavily on, but also you can pull of a natural look if applied lightly.
- Mudslide: A rich deep purple colour, again would be great for a dramatic look but also look very nice on a darker skinned woman.
there is also a lot more shades to choose from, all are gorgeous.
I picked this because I was really feeling up to having a new lipstick, something that wasn't going to be to expensive but something that I could pull of being natural but also dress it up a little if you know what I mean.
Bubblegum seemed perfect! for £2.99 it was a bargain and also it claimed to last all day, I skipped home waiting to try out.
I always use primer and vaseline on my lips before I put on lipstick, this will help it stay on a little longer and I guess just give it a better look!
The lipstick looks very nice on, glides over your lips very smoothly, it provides very good coverage for the lips without being heavy and feels very creamy and moisturising on.
It makes my lips look glossy and healthy and doesn't sink into any cracks, it feels very hydrating while on and the colour was the exact shade as stated, maybe a bit bright for casual days but great for nights out and dressing up! I have had a few compliments whilst wearing this asking where it is from!
Unfortunately, it isn't transfer proof, it will transfer to glasses, forks, ect..and is it kiss proof? I don't think I have kissed while wearing this, since my OH is next to me and so is the lipstick I will put some on and give him a kiss and then report back!
My OH now has a rosy pink cheek and bright pink lips and my lipstick is smudged of, so nope it isn't kiss proof!
For a more natural look, I rub a tiny amount onto my finger and run across my lips, this comes out beautifully and looks very natural, I use this a few times of week when I am not using my other one, its lasted me ages up to now, around 6 months! And I probably use this 2/3 times a week!
I have tried this product a number times, because at first I wasn't too sure when I first bought it that it wouldn't be as strong or long lasting as it advertises on the product, however when I bought it I was pretty impressed by the results I was given and I could even use this product as a day wear (for a glam looking day wear of course) or evening wear (cause it's always important to look good on a night out!)
The lipstick can be found in the collection 2000 range which can be found in Boots, Superdrug and various supermarkets including Morrisons and ASDA. The price of the lipstick is only 2.50 which isn't actually that bad for a lipstick and you can save at least 20% on this unless you bought another brand lipstick and it just lasts as long, cause you usually do get expensive lipstick which stay they're long lasting but actually there not so buying this one you can avoid breaking the bank or if you're a budget!
You can find a huge range of colors in this lipstick which include red, pink, nude, purple, mainly common lipstick colors.
Overall, I would recommend buying this lipstick to any girl out there, you here you have a good lipstick which actually does a pretty good job and you're not breaking the bank either. Excellent results or what?
I am a lipstick addict. I have lipsticks in all shades, brands, shapes and sizes. I can hardly go on a shopping trip without buying a lipstick. When I was pregnant people guessed I was suffering from morning sickness as I went to work without lipstick on!! so when it comes to lipstick, I know what I want and expect from the product.
I always go for vibrant colour lipsticks in pinks and reds. This is because I am very dark and I believe these bright colours suit me well. This is why I love collection 2000 lasting colour lipstick. For under £3 I get a really excellent quality lipstick which not only feels lovely on my lips but offers me the depth and intensity of colour that I am looking for.
The packaging of this collection 2000 lasting lipstick has changed of late and has most certainly improved in the glamour stakes. Where as collection 2000 lipsticks used to be navy in packaging. This new design offers a sleek black case which oozes elegance and sophistication. There is a shocking pink flash of colour on the base of the lipstick displaying the collection 2000 logo. I love the effect that the pink has against the black. I am more than happy to use this lipstick in public, as the packaging is so classy and it's simplicity lends itself to looking expensive.
The lipstick itself is perfect as far as I am concerned regarding texture. It glides onto the lips without becoming thick and crusty. I hate lipsticks that feel as if they are dragging on the skin of your lips when applied. But this is the total opposite. It makes me lips feel glossy but it has quite a matt appearance. I also love the way that this lipstick allows my lips to breathe underneath. It is not too cloying and indeed keeps my lips well nourished and in good condition.
This lipstick comes in an excellent array of shades. Whatever your tastes there is a shade in this lipstick which will suit your needs. I have noted that there are some very funky neon colours within this range. Which would be very cool for a younger consumer. Whilst there are much more subtle and nude colours for those who want a less intense look.
The lipstick proclaims to be long lasting and it does indeed last well. However, I do have to apply my lipstick quite regularly. Particularly on a night out. I also find that the lipstick leaves quite a residue on a drinking glass. Which can look slightly embarrasing. I don't think this lipstick is a high flyer in the lasting stakes, but in my opinion when a lipstick is this cheap in price I don't mind having to reapply.
For a more glamorous night time look I have on occasion added a sheen of clear lipgloss on top of this lipstick. I find this is the perfect combination as it a great colour but with slightly more glossy glamour. I find that this increases the intensity of the effect of this lipstick.
I have bought much more expensive lipsticks in the past and as far as colour intensity and texture goes. I think this lipstick is in the same range as the chanel brand. The only thing that lets this lipstick down is the staying power.
I would thoroughly recommend this lipstick. It is such a good price for an excellent looking and feeling product.
