Advantages: Cheap, nice choice of colours, easy to apply
Disadvantages: Doesn't stay put as long as I'd like it to without effort
For me one of the easiest ways of updating my look is with a new lipstick. I usually opt to buy a Boots No7 one and I like Urban Decay and Max Factor but I'm trying really hard at the moment to curb my spending on me and trying to get my home looking nicer coming up to Spring lol.
However, I still want things but I've been buying things alot more cheapily than before, trying out cheaper brands.
Collection 2000 at the moment is one of the cheapest brands about along with Miss Sporty. I was loving MUA as well sold at Superdrug but just before Christmas they stopped selling that so I took to looking at the shades of lippy available from this range and I actually ended up buying rather a few bits and pieces.
At £2.99 and 11 shades available in Superdrug when I was looking I felt spoilt for choice. I think there are plenty to choose from and I really couldn't decide on one but in the end I opted for the Mango Tango colour however the colours available go from a rather nude shade to a bright red, so there should be something to tickle most ladies fancy!
The packaging though is a bit crass really. The lipstick comes in a black and pink tube and we're basically told what it is on it and the colour an contact details for the manufacturer are given. Its nothing to write home about, its a twist up down design with an easy to pull on off lid and its robust enough.
The Lipstick Itself:
Well like I say I went for the mango tango colour, a sort of coral, peachy and slightly brown shade. Its glossy though not too much so and glides on to the lips with ease. If I put one layer of this on and then drink, eat or smoke it comes of all to easily so with this one I apply, blot, apply and blot again to sink the colour into my lips.
My colour is lovely and once I've followed the above way of application I find that it does stay put for a good couple of hours without 'bleeding' or anything the only problem is that although I can get it to stay put longer with the above method I do lose the gloss finish sadly.
However I do like this lipstick don't get me wrong. For me I wear this in the day time, its subtle, an unusual colour and is lightweight on my lips, so I can forget its there. You get plenty of it for its price tag and on it doesn't feel cheap, just a shame about its packaging!
Available in all good chemists etc.
