Collection 2000 love your lips lipgloss is definitely my favourite lipgloss in my make up bag. I often just pick up items when i'm shopping randomly and that's how I discovered this lipgloss. There are 6 different colours ranging from clear to pink, to purple. The names are Tender, Delight, Passion, Honey Bunch, Darling and Adore. I chose the bright pink colour which is passion. I picked this colour because I wanted a bright colour for this summer.
The lipgloss is in an unusual shape, I could describe it almost as a chunky tube. Something I rather liked. It's a nice size to pop in your handbag. The wand is great, a bit like a soft nail varnish brush, making it easy to apply and doesn't make it go all over your face.
Something I always look for in a lipgloss is a non-sticky texture but one that still stays on for a long time despite this. This lipgloss certainly does that. While on it gives your lips a smooth feeling yet stays in place for a good while which is perfect if you're someone like me who likes to put my make-up on and forget about it. Often I buy coloured lipglosses and become disappointed when I apply it and they just come out clear, collection 2000 love your lips lipgloss holds its colour well and gives a lovely gloss, great stuff!
I bought this item in boots for £3.99 which I think is a good price for such a nice lipgloss. It is also available in pharmacies and supermarkets such as tesco. Definitely worth recommendation.
Thanks for reading.
I tried one of these, and I had used this product for quite a while now.
Yes, after wearing this I love my lips even more!
This lip gloss is great for everyday wear and gives a slight glittery sparkle to your lips which makes you love them even more. They come in a perfect range of colors, clear, pink, red, coral/peach, purple, so they have lip gloss for every skin tone, and a good thing about this lip gloss is that it makes your lips look fuller and kissable. That's what I like. My favorite colors are the red and pink, I do like the clear one but it looks like glitter or glitter glue rather than lip gloss.
The price of the product isn't actually that bad for a lip gloss like this, costing three pounds - which I think is pretty good. Thank goodness for Collection 2000.
Even though the product gives a SPF of 20, but actually as the gloss doesn't last that long, it doesn't always give you the sun protection you need. However it does give you a slight softness to the lips, as it has a lip balm ingredient to the product.
This product can be found in Superdrug, large boots stores, and various supermarkets such as Morrisons, ASDA and Sainsbury's all for the same price of three pounds.
Overall, this is a nice lip gloss but it doesn't last, but that's all lip glosses for you. But it is a nice buy for any girl especially those make-up lovers out there!
These glosses are pretty darn hot. Labelled by Collection 2000 as a Balmgloss, because it falls into both camps. Depending on your cosmetic stomping grounds, these usually come in at around £2.95 but I believe price does depend sometimes on stockist...
They were launched just over a year ago, as part of Collection's regeneration scheme. They are completely purse friendly, yet they use some good technology.
They all smell lovely and fruity (VERY important factor in lipgloss choosing...) And with 6 shades to choose from you are bound to find your new best friend. Some are sheer, but some contain a small amount of shimmer, which isn't too in your face and just serves to lift the colour.
They contain vitamins and mango extract (which explains the lovely smell!). This formulation means that they leave your lips super soft and smooth, but with a gloss. You have the benefits of a good balm, with the apperance of a good gloss. They aren't sticky, and despite being gloss, last a fair while before you need to re-apply. They also contain an spf 15, so as well as caring for your poor lips, they also protect them too!
What more could you ask!
I needed a new lip gloss, but having been on a bit of a saving mission recently, didn't head straight to the bigger brands but had a look at Collection 2000.
I usually don't choose Collection 2000 because I associate it with my teenage years, but I was pleasantly surprised when I had a look at their selection.
This lip gloss stood out to me as I like the colour - a pale pinky/orangy. I also like the sweet smell (probably because I have a sweet tooth).
The applicator is a little brush which is much nicer than the spongey ones you often get in lip glosses.
The gloss itself is also not sticky like many lip glosses i've tried.
The tube is also a nice size to put in your handbag.
The gloss doesn't stay on for an overly long time but at about £3 this was much cheaper than most other lip glosses i've bought previously.
I would definately buy this again.
I was lucky enough to win a Collection 2000 Love Your Lips Balmgloss in a competition on the Glamour website. I received the gloss in number 4 - Honeybunch.
Honeybunch is a bright pink almost orange shade, with yellow and green glitter in. It smells like Mango. The colour when on the lips, is pretty much sheer. You can see the tiny bits of glitter on the lips but as for colour pay off, you might as well have a clear gloss. The smell, for someone who doesn't like mango like myself, is a little potent and does put me off when i'm inhaling it constantly.
The tube is basic lipgloss packaging. Inside, instead of the usual sponge tip applicator, it's a brush. Which I really love, as if you apply it over lipstick, it doesn't stick to the applicator.
The consistency is quite thin for a lipgloss, and not very sticky if applied evenly. It doesn't feel like your usual lipgloss. As the name indicates, it is a mixture of a gloss and a balm. They've found a happy medium.
The only negative, apart from the smell, is the little bits of glitter. It look extremely pretty on the lips, but once your lipgloss starts to wear off, you're left with a very grainy texture on your lips. It's quite similar to sand grains.
Overall I would buy other colours in this range. I do love how they look even though it doesn't match the colour in the tube. The glitter I can put up with and the smell is bearable despite me complaining. I'd like to try more neutral shades in this range. I love how they have SPF 20 in, as I do tend to forget about protecting my lips.
I have this lipgloss in bright pink (passion 3), the reason I bought it was because I loved the colour but it doesn't come out that colour and looks just like a clear lip gloss when on.
the lipgloss is in a very nice tube with a brush applicator. The lipgloss itself smells lovely and tastes nice too!
When putting it on, it goes on thick and spreads evenly. Its a very shiny lipgloss and it is not thick or sticky and it doesn't feel too thick on your lips.
When you have it on it doesn't last very long and I find after about 20 mins my lips feel dried out so I have to keep re-applying it.
Passion 3 is a very bright summery pink but when its on it just looks like a clear lip gloss with a tiny hint of pink. Where its such a thin lipgloss you can't really see the colour its meant to be!
Neathertheless its still a good lipgloss for the price. I paid £1.19 for it which is a bargain... so I can't really complain!
I would recommend this lipgloss if you are on a budget and want a nice smelling and tasting lipgloss!
Its also SPF 20 so thats great!
Lately I have been stocking up on a few different make-up products. Although I own a few lip-glosses I don't use them. I don't like them however here in Coventry it's getting warmer and I want a more subtle day time look. I normally sport Max Factor 'Lipfinity' but I'm finding it a little hard looking to be wearing so as I say I've opted for a softer look of late.
I went out deliberately looking for Lip-Glosses and I have purchased a few of them and the first one I decided to buy and try was this Collection 2000 one I stumbled upon in Boots at the price of £3.91, however the day I purchased this I got something else I needed and totalled over £5.00 so bagged myself a really nice silver mirror free! So do look out for deals, money off and bargains from within this range as they are quite often on. An example of this at the moment is that in my local Boots there are loads of products from within this range that you can get 2 items for a fiver for!
Long see-through plastic tube with silver twist on/off cap/lid to the top of it which has a long plastic white 'wand' and on the end of that a small white fibre brush. On the said lid there is a black round sticker and on that I'm told my colour (Honeybunch 4, an orangy/pink colour containing very small and well blended glitter particles) and on the front in dark pink writing I'm told 'Love Your Lips, SPF 20', and there is a small drawing of pouting lips on there. To the side of that I'm the told it's Collection 2000 and contact details for the company are given and the recycle symbol is displayed. On the back of the tube I'm told 'Moisturising non-sticky lip gloss helps protect & care for lips. Contains anti-oxidants, rose hips & mango extract to soothe & hydrate'. For me it's rather cheap looking packaging and I don't like the way I have to really strain my eyes to see the written information on it as in my opinion the colour of the writing just isn't dark enough against my chosen colour so to be honest I only just noticed it had any writing on there at all!
The Gloss Itself....
Well this is one 6 colours ranging from dark to light I bought from within the range, mine is light because as I pointed out earlier I really wanted a more natural look.
However this is simply rubbish and not worth the money it cost me at all.
Smell wise it's simply lovely. Sweet and naturally fruity it smells of mango's but doesn't really taste of anything at all. When you pull the wand out of the tube the gloss appears a little gloppy on the tiny and thin brush however applying it is simply a breeze.
It's quite greasy, a little goes on a long way and as promised by Collection 2000 this isn't one bit sticky. I can even smoke and drink when wearing this with ease. It's easy to wear, looks great (and in my case natural) and gives a light but glossy sheen of colour and gloss.
But You Said It's Rubbish????
I did. It is. Due to the fact that it transfers off onto everything (and I mean everything), it feels really greasy rather than hydrating on the lips and it basically manages to stay on your lips for a matter of minutes and I'm never going to be the kind of woman who gets out a lip-gloss and paints her lips wherever she sits! I'm not 14 anymore after-all lol.
I don't mind the feel of it too much when it's on but it is too greasy in my view. The colour is ok as is the look (whilst it's on) however it has absolutely (and I mean absolutely!) no staying power. I, of late have really quite liked and been impressed with Collection 2000 products on the whole but had this of been the first product offering I ever tried from within the range I wouldn't have gone back for more! It's flipping horrible and makes me think of children's play make-up! I'm almost 35!
