Advantages: Interesting colours and cheap to purchase

Disadvantages: Total rubbish, not worth the money, time or effort to get a decent result

I'm not a fan of the brand which is 'Collection 2000' I'm afraid. I find it a cheap and tacky offering and it doesn't impress me at all! I prefer big brands which ok mean higher prices (as a rule) but I like the good stuff and this to me isn't. It's economy and I get no excitement in using it! I like a lovely bottle and a touch of luxury I guess. To me I'm worth it lol

Collection 2000 is so appealing to people (mainly the young)because there is a vast amount of choices colourwise and they are affordable prices (get your pocket money at the ready, we all did at school lol), stocking up to the minute colour must haves and in Boots particularly they have little deals or free gifts to entice you into making purchases. The packaging though is average if not a little tacky though the product comes in a glass bottle so at least you can see your colour through it and the brush normally is of decent quality and doesn't malt.

On my local market (Coventry) you can get a bottle of Collection 2000 for 50p a bottle I kid you not, however they are the colours no one else wants! However to buy a nail varnish full price in most places will set you back about £2.29 for a 12ml bottle which is rather alot of nail polish to be fair.

The problem is you just don't get good results with this product and it's a case you get what you pay for in life. Whenever I see Collection 2000 products I always think its a range devised for kids to spend their pocket money on and I'm not wrong because in my view you just don't get good quality and/or long lasting results!

5 day wear nail polish (the one I'm reviewing) will do you a day and that's if your careful in applying it. It goes on easy enough and takes a few minutes to 'set' and really need 2 coats to get it looking even and to give the colour some vibrancy and depth. A good way to give this product a little more staying power is to use a base coat before applying your chosen colour, apply it twice (as I've suggested already), let it really set firm and use a really good quality top coat such as Max Factor (my favourite) and you will then get results that last 3 days tops but lets face it what woman wants to do all that, it seems alot of work to me? I like to brush some on and go and with this I can't.

In my opinion your better paying a few pence more and at least getting Rimmel if your on a budget and watching your pennies, though I'm not keen on that either it is in my opinion better than this. A good range that in my opinion is better than Collection 2000 is Barry M with an even better choice of colours and longer lasting results.

Collection 2000 may be cheap as chips but it's not worth the money , time or effort you have to put in to making it hang about! The smell is rather strong and I can't get it to stay put on my nails. I only paint my toenails because I bite my fingernails and if I can't get it to stay on my toes I don't know how I'd make the stuff stay on my fingers, maybe superglue would be the answer lol

It paints over false nails as well though but again doesn't stay put on them either and because of it's not so good staying power removal is simple as anything so every cloud has a silver lining type of thing lol

Stocked in all sorts of places and look out for deals and look for it in bargain bins!

Summary: Don't be so tight you get what you pay for in life!
