This review is for the lastest offering in Collection 2000 nail varnish: Hot Looks.

This nail varnish claims to be a collection of fashion trend inspired colours and I must say there are some lovely colours in this collection which is why I chose to buy from this mini-collection rather than the original Collection 2000 nail varnishes.

I was in Boots when I decided to buy myself some new nail varnishes (a cheap little treat) I spotted the 3 for 2 advertisement on the Collection 2000 counter and had a look.

These bottles also caught my eye as they are a bit smaller than an average bottle; Rimmel and No7 nail varnish are usually around 12ml these Hot Looks nail varnishes are 8ml.
I decided it would be sensible to buy a smaller size and therefore save some pennies as nail varnish last forever anyway!

I chose from the range of about 25 colours my favourites, 3 lovely colours:

25. Intense: A sexy slightly glittery black, gothic romance is the trend this season I think this would go well with.

13. Vogue: A metallic dark blue, a really unusual colour, great for Autumn.

18. Vixen: A sparkly, hot pink, very bright to make my pretty nails stand out!


I looked around a few of the other ranges on offer before I commited to buying these but the colours on offer were nowhere near as good as these 3 I had picked out.

The nail varnishes were only £1.49 each (A bargain on its own) but then were on 3 for 2 so I ended up with these 3 colours for under £3! + advantage card points of course!

The bottles are cute and would look good on any gils dressing table (in my bathroom cupboard at the minute though because we're moving and hiding clutter!)
They are a small, clear glass bottle with a dull silver lid, on the front it says 'Collection 2000, Hot Looks, Fast Dry' and then the colour name and number all in silver writing.

It says to 'Apply two coats for maximum colour intensity' which I did and was very impressed even after the first coat as these are strong colours and went on thickly and smoothly.
They covered my nails well and had a lovely glossy finish.

So far, I've tried both the blue and the pink and am just about to use the black for the first time!

I'm impressed with how it lasts too as I seem prone to chipped nail varnish on my finger nails even when I use more expensive brands with lycra and the such but this lasts well, It only started to chip after about 3 days and maybe thats just me!
I painted my toe nails a week ago too (as I ALWAYS have to have them painted, you never know when people will see your feet...) and the colour is still going strong.

They are a reasonably new entry to the Collection 2000 range but I presume they will up date the colours with the seasons in fashion.


Definitely recommended!
A bargain price and a great range of colours!
