Advantages: Small bottles of fashionable colours

Disadvantages: Poor wear

As a fan of the Collection 2000 range, I was rather dissapointed with a christmas gift, a set of 3 mini bottles in an impressive and innovative flying-saucer type packaging. The colours follow the same spacey theme, one a steely silver/black, shade No. 228 a pearly pale pink, No 241 and a metallic purple No 185.

The varnishes dry super fast, and cover quite well, but it was the wear that dissapointed me. Make sure that if you wear it on a night out, that you have time to remove it the next day before you leave the house as you realise that it has chipped so easily... not one nail, nearly the whole lot!! This is not so bad with the paler shades, but the purple and steel colour draw attention to chips. Even with the reccommended 2-3 coats, it cannot stand up to the rigours of a night out, let alone typing away at work.

I have had this brand of polish before and never had experienced this problem. Have Collection 2000 skimped on the christmas gifts? And what am I supposed to do with the flying saucer? It might have been a better design idea to make it into a holder for other cosmetics. Well I could hang it from my ceiling...
