A really good quality, good value product (Collection 2000 Perfecting Minerals Powder)
Member Name: stubborn_fairy
Advantages: Excellent coverage, long wearing. Disadvantages: Brush isn't brilliant As mentioned in one of my other reviews, I bought this in an emergency from Tesco having just purchased the awful Maxfactor Minerals powder. Previously I had used Belle Pierre mineral powder (v.expensive) and a mid price 'Returnal Health' (organic) product. I've always though of Collection 2000 as a range for teenagers on a tight pocket money budget, but this product was fantastic! I paid around £4 so didn't expect much from it, but it easily matched up to a mineral powder I had paid £35 for. It provided execellent coverage, without looking too caked on. Used with a concealer brush, it easily covers blemishes. It leaves skin looking even and flawless, and it lasts me through my working day- so has good staying power too! Whilst the brush isn't amazing, as mineral powders go, this one is one of the least messy ones I have used. The ingredients listed don't look toxic either- which is good as the original idea behind mineral powders was to have a non-toxic alternative to conventional foundations- something Maxfactor et al seemed to have missed! I would recommend this for anyone on a budget, or looking to test out a mineral powder foundation for the first time without investing loads of money. Summary: Great value, highly recommended. |
