Advantages: Great smell and sparkly bits!

Disadvantages: Doesn't stay on for very long.

I had never heard of Cover Girl make-up products before I found this in my big bag of Christmas goodies. I know, I'm no girl and certainly not a 'Cover Girl' but what the hell, this older and middle page female wanted to give it a whirl!

~ Cover Girl ~

Cover Girl provide quite a large array of cosmetics for lips, nails, eyes and face.

I was quite impressed by their website which is very comprehensive except for listing prices and since it is a US based company it only lists US stockists, not UK ones.

It's worth a visit if you are interested in make-up: www.covergirl.com

~ Price ~

Since this was a present I don't know the exact price that was paid for this particular one but I have since seen them in one 'saver-type' store at a knock-down price of £1.99. These usually retail at £4.99 but it's well worth shopping around if you, like me love to scavange around for bargains!

There are also a few websites that sell this product but just watch out for the P&P charges. One such website is www.buycosmetics.com but be warned there are sometimes limited colours available.

~ Packaging ~

This gloss comes attached to some cardboard with Covergirl emblazoned along the side of it.
The gloss is easily 'ripped' away from the backing card. The gloss itself is like most standard glosses on the market. The bottom section is transparent so that you can see the colour of the gloss that you are getting and the top has a 'dazzling' silver screw top lid!

It has to be pointed out at this stage that it doesn't look a bit like the phot shown by dooyoo which is a tube versions.

~ What is Wetslicks Gloss? ~

Below are some of the statements that have been made to market this product:
* Provides non-sticky shine.
* Gives lasting hi-beam shine.
* Feels like a balm
* Pure colour
* Scented shades

There are 26 colours available in Wetslicks Gloss ranging from pinks, natural shades, peach etc..

~ My Experience ~

I have the Snow Drop shade. In the holder, this looks creamy / white with lots of silver sparkles in it.

The gloss is very easy to apply and doesn't give a horrible sticky feeling that some glosses tend to do.

It has to be said that I absolutely love the smell of it. It is a combination of almond and coconut and I love it, reminding me of summer days, which is a bonus in this weather!

When applied, the gloss is almost transluscent and certainly isn't white or cream. It does have little sparkly bits in it so much more of a night time gloss than an daytime 'at work' gloss, depending obviously on your job!

So why then, have I given it only 3 stars?
In short, this is due to the fact that it doesn't stay on for very long at all. I would say ten minutes max, so unless you aren't bothered about re-applying in front of everyone (something I don't like doing but lots of my friends do) or you want to keep popping to the toilets every 10 minutes, this gloss really doesn't give 'hi-beam shine' for long at all.

It's great when first applied, looking glossy, a tad sparkly and diffusing a fab smell but quite frankly it's a pain when it keeps disappearing from your lips.

If you want instant gloss, shine etc and aren't bothered by the short time it stays on then this is the one for you. I still use this for two reasons:
a) I hate waste
b) The smell

It may be my fault that it doesn't stay on for long as I tend to lick my lips quite a bit without even realising it so I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has had a different experience with the gloss.

Summary: Worth hunting this gloss out at a reduced price, a fab smell!

It doesn't really sound worthwhile to me - I prefer glosses to last slightly longer on me.
