Who Are Creative?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since 1979, Creative Nail Design has developed professional products and services for the beauty industury, concentrating on products for hands, feet and nails. They are originally an American company, who are now just as popular all over the world, including the UK. They are one of the most popular and I must say the best brand of products for hands, feet and nails in the industury. If you go to salons quite regularly or are in the beauty industury, it is likely you will have heard or even used Creative Nail Design. I use their products for all things hands, feet and nails and will never use anything else as I know the standards of other products don't even come close.
What is Solar Balm?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Solar Balm is a thickened version of Solar Oil.With all the same ingredients as the original Solar Oil, Solar Balm gives your nails and cuticles the same benefits as Solar Oil with the added convenience of being in a handy travel friendly tin. Solar Balm is a rich, conditioning emollient that penetrates deeply and quickly, soothing dry skin and strengthening nails.

Solar Oil is a synergistic blend of four naturally light essential oils along with Vitamin E, it is designed to deeply penetrate and protect both natural and acrylic nails as well as your skin.

Solar Oil contains Jojoba Oil which is a carrier oil and helps Vitamin E penetrate deeply into the skin, this prevents cellular damage and eliminates visible signs of aging, so is good to start using whilst young. Jojoba Oil penetrates Rice Bran Oil and Sweet Almond Oil into natural nails and acrylic nails and this keeps them tough and flexible. Repeated use drives oils penetrates to product deeper into your nails and skin therefore maximizing the benefits and preventing problems.

Creative Nail Design Solar Balm has been in the celebrity spotlight, recently Kate Moss asked for 'that Creative stuff in the gold pot, I love it', proving it is loved by celebrities too.

Use & Effects
~~~~~~~~
Solar Balm has all the same effects as Solar Oil, it is just a thicker consistency, similar to a lip balm. It is recommended for use on your hands, feet and nails just as Solar Oil would be. Solar Balm is great for infusing moisture to all of your dry skin areas. Solar Balm can also be used as a substitue for Vaseline on chapped or dry lips. Use on cuticles, lips, heels, elbows, anywhere extra moisture is needed. Used regularly, it can help keep skin supple, and natural nails and enhancements more flexible. It is a rich, conditioning product that helps softens the cuticle area and promotes strong, flexible nails. SolarBalm is has a super penetrating formula that helps to conditions skin and nails. SolarBalm is a convenient travel friendly alternative to SolarOil.
It is recommended for use on natural nails to keep them looking and feeling healthy as it promotes healthy nail growth. It is also a must have for acrylic or gel nails as it helps to prevent them from drying out and lifting. It helps your natural nail underneath remain strong and healthy. When you get acrylic nails done at a salon, it takes 24 - 48 hours for the product to fully cure, even though it feels dry immediately. If you regularly get yours done, you will know what I am talking about, and if you don't I'm sorry it seems like I'm babbling about nothing! You should use SolarBalm three to four times in the first 24 hours, which will keep oxygen out of the product, which is what can cause those nasty air bubbles in the acrylic and it also results in faster cure rates which in the long run results in longer lasting nails. After a while when you have acrylic on your nails, it can lift up at the edges, this is due to the plate no longer receiving oil and moisture from the nail bed. When your dried out plate comes in contact with water or moisture, it sucks it up, making the plate expand, the plate then dries out and contracts and the plate then begins peeling and looses its shape, pulling away from the nail that it's attached to and this then results in cracking and breaking. SolarBalm prevents this from happening, all from just using it a few times a day on the nails. SolarBalm also ensures the the acrylic nail remains strong and flexible. SolarBalm is designed to penetrate through the acrylic or gel to act as a shock absorber and a lubricant for the product, preventing breakage and lifting.
I use this on my own nails, which I have acrylic nails on and also where I work a at a beauty salon and always apply it to a clients nails after a manicure and pedicure to make sure the nail is rehyrated and kept healthy. I also always use it on clients with acrylic or gel nails and recommend them to purchase it, and any client who has, is always coming back and agrees that it really makes a difference to not having it and think it's fantastic. I choose to use this over SolarOil when mine or a clients nails are really suffering and need a deeper treatment than SolarOil.
It is easy to apply, SolarBalm comes in a simple gold container, like a small pot of vaseline. You should apply it to your nails as much as you can, preferably at least twice daily. You could apply it as many times as you want, but try and aim for at least that. Apply it to your cuticles and rub into the rest of your nail. You could even use this to massage with. It can also be used on an dry areas on your body as it has a high moisture content it is fabulous for dry areas, you can even use it on your lips to prevent or relieve chapping or dryness. The best time to use SolarBalm is before going to bed so the oil can really penetrate. It is also good to use 10 minutes before getting into water to help seal the nail plate to prevent moisture absorbing.
When you apply it to your nails, it does feel more greasy than SolarOil as it is the consistency of Vaseline although it is easily and quickly absorbed into your skin. If you use this on your lips however, it doesn't make your lips feel overloaded or greasy. Instead it softens, moisturisers and helps soothe sore and chapped lips. SolarBalm really hydrates your skin and instantly relieves any tight feeling your skin may have due to dryness. Due to the content of Sweet Almond Oil, it smells delicious, just like marzipan, is the only way I can describe it. I am allergic to nuts including almonds, but somehow I am not allergic to this product, which I am so pleased about! SolarBalm will shrink back your cuticle making it more soft and supple all the while helping to prevent hangnails, which can cause soreness to some people, if left.
Price & Availability
~~~~~~~~~~~~

SolarBalm only comes in a small 9g gold tin, like a tin of Vaseline. It can be purchased for between £5-10 from various websites and any salon using Creative products. Unless you have a Creative trade account you will however be unable to purchase it directly from them, but this doesn't mean they don't want non-trade people to have it.

Conclusion
~~~~~~~
If you love SolarOil, you will love SolarBalm. They work so well together. It is truley a fantastic product that I would recommend to anyone, male or female who cares about the condition of their nails. I personally couldn't live without it and I know alot of my clients feel the same. It is very simple to use and really helps protect, restore and ensure your nails are kept at their healthiest. Although it is quite expensive, it can be multi functional, you can use it for your nails, skin and for your lips, saving you from buying more than one product.
Summary: Fantastic for on the go!
