Who Are Creative?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since 1979, Creative Nail Design have developed professional products and services for the beauty industry, concentrating on products for hands, feet and nails. They are originally an American company, who are now just as popular all over the world, including the UK. They are one of the most popular and I must say the best brand of products for hands, feet and nails in the industry. If you go to salons quite regularly or are in the beauty industry, it is likely you will have heard or even used Creative Nail Design. I use their products for all things hands, feet and nails and will never use anything else as I know the standards of other products don't even come close.
About Creative Speedey
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Creative Speedy is a fast drying top coat, hense the name "Speedey". It can be used on all nails. It works by quickly sealing the surface of the nail varnish and protects against fading, chipping and discolouration. A definate must have for all who wear nail varnish.

Who should it be used on?

This can be used on any nail type, whether they are weak or strong. It protects all nails from every day damage.

Use & Effects
~~~~~~~~~~
A topcoat should be applied ontop of a nailvarnish colour. If you just want a clear coat of polish on your nails you should use a basecoat rather than a topcoat. Basecoats have been specially designed to be on your natural nail and have properties that help your nail conditions rather than if you put a colour or top coat straight on your natural nail, where it could damage it. Now, don't let this put you off applying nailvarnish, you should just always make sure you apply a basecoat as your first step. A topcoat creates an instant shine and protects nail colour from everyday damage, resulting in your nails not chipping and flaking off and therefore lasting longer. It also protects your nails to ensure they are stronger and prevents brittleness in your nails, it gives them an extra strength.
To apply you should start with a clean, dry nail (remove any dirt or previous nail varnish with an acetone free nail varnish remover). First of all generously apply a basecoat using 3 strokes. If desired you can apply a colour ontop after you have left the basecoat to dry for several minutes. You must make sure you let the basecoat dry before you apply another layer otherwise the lower layer will not be able to dry and can even lead to fungal infections as you are giving it a nice warm damp atmosphere to live in. You should polish under the tip of the nail and over the nail, sealing the edges. This encases the nail and protects it from breaking or chipping. After you have applied a colour, you should then apply a top coat the same was as the basecoat. This seals the colour and protects the nail. You must ensure you have let the 2 coats of colour first dry, otherwise you will smudge the colour and you will have to start again. It appears clear in colour and dries clear on the nails with a lovely shiney appearance.
Creative Speedey dries very quickly, in about 60 seconds, and it actually does unlike other nail varnishes which claim to do so but really don't. Once you go along and have painted every nail, the first one you painted will be dry so you aren't left waiting around. Basecoats and topcoats do however dry alot quicker than a colour anyway, they have a thinner consistency. You must wait till the basecoat and colour have dried before you apply a coat of this, as each layer needs to dry fully otherwise your varnish will smudge and as stated above can lead to fungal infections. You can apply two coats of this for more effective results and to make sure you don't miss anything out. You can use Creative Speedey on all nails, fingers, toes, acrylic and gel, female and male. I do find that Creative Speedey is the best top coat there is to stick to acrylic nails. If you use this as a shiney coat on your acrylic nails, it will last you until you get your infills without chipping, for the people who don't get them done, this is usually 2-3 weeks so it is long lasting. If you use this as a top coat ontop of a colour then it will last this long, it will remain shiney and in perfect condition but your nail varnish will grow up naturally with your natural nail so you will have a gap between the bottom of the nailvarnish and your cuticle, there is nothing you can do to stop this. I would recommend when this happens that you remove your nail varnish and start again rather than just painting over what is already there as that can create bubbles and it won't stick as well or last. For lasting power this is one of the best top coats, it will last as long as you want it to without chipping or looking worn. How long the nail varnish lasts also depends on how you treat your nails. If you are very rough with them, they are much more likely to chip or you dig around in the garden alot they also will. If your hands are in and out of water alot and you don't wear gloves, then I would definately recommend that you use a cuticle oil or moisturiser regularly. If you don't, this will make your nail rigid which can lead to breaks and chips in your natural nail which will result in the nail varnish also chipping. A cuticle oil or moisturiser prevents this from happening and replenishes the moisture lost from the water.
Speedey paints on smoothy and isn't goopey or sticky. When applyed over nailvarnish it produces a lovely shine. It is recommended that you clean the bottle neck with nail varnish remover regularly to avoid build up and the bottle lid sticking to the bottle. The nail varnish is easy to use, with a good sized brush. The varnish doesn't turn gloopy, watery or clog up the brush. If the varnish starts to get thick, put a drop of nail varnish thinner in and shake well. To prevent this, keep nail varnishes out of direct sunlight or warm areas. As with all nail varnishes, this one does smell too, but you can only smell it when the bottle is open and you are applying it, once it is dry you can no longer smell it and it doesn't linger on your nails.
A 15ml bottle will last you about 8 months, if used quite regularly, so this really does last quite a long time and if kept out of sunlight it will ensure it lasts this long without turning gloopey or watery. I purchase a large one every few months, when used at least ten times a day for 6 days of the week, so again, even that lasts a long time.
Price & Availability
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Creative Speedey is available in two sizes. The first being the standard nail varnish bottle size which is 0.5 fl. oz. (15 mL). This can be purchased for a RRP of £9.95 but can be found on various websites between £3.99 and £10. The cheapest website I have found is www.tailormadenails.co.uk. The larger bottle, which is the salon size is 2.3 fl. oz. (68 mL) and can be purchased for an RRP of £23 but can be found on the same website as the smaller one for £10.99.

~~~~~~~~
Conclusion
~~~~~~~~

This is definately one of my favourite top coats. It ensures your nail varnish is protected whilst also ensuring it looks healthy and shiney and the best it can. The top coat protects the varnish and lasts for a long time and the bottle also lasts a long time. For such a good top coat, I also don't think it is an unreasonable price to pay. I would definately recommend this to anyone.

Summary: One of the best top coats out there
