I usually buy Cutex nail polish removers, and grabbed this one in a hurry after seeing that it was labelled "Acetone Free". I have quite strong nails and have been trying to grow them out, but they usually end up chipping through a combination of frequent polish removal and general clumsiness - maybe going acetone-free would help! It was only when I got home that I saw that it's meant for false and acrylic nails, which I don't have, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway since it couldn't be too different to the other varieties. PACKAGING: The product comes in 100ml or 200ml bottles. I always buy 200ml, which costs around £2.15 from Boots or ... Read the complete review

As I have mentioned in my previous Sally Hansen nail polish review, I have been trying to grow my nails for some time now and they will get to a certain length, some longer than others and then start to chip and peel and generally just fall apart until I am once again left with short nails and have to start the process all over again. I noticed that if I use nail polish on the days I'm not at work it does seem to give my nails an extra couple of days without breaking but of course once you have put the nail polish on, you have to take it off at some point and in my case it's on the evening before I go back to work. I always used to use just any old nail polish remover ... Read the complete review

It's only been a couple of years since I've had to use a product such as this, as I was a nail biter for nigh on forty years (gosh I'm old). Having never had any experience of such things, when I eventually kicked the habit and needed to go out and buy nail polishes and removers, I thought I was doing the right thing by sticking to well known brands. In the main my theory has proved to be correct, and this review discusses my experience with Cutex acetone free nail polish remover. My nails have grown weak and bendy from all the biting, and are prone peeling from the ends; it's really quite bad sometimes when you see the layers peel off like an onion. To try ... I have used Cutex nail varnish remover for many years. I sometimes go for the cheaper shop's own brands but when I asked my husband to pick me up a bottle recently when he went to the supermarket, he came back with the Cutex acetone free variety. I was really quite pleased he picked this one, actually, as my nails were starting to look and feel a bit dried out and brittle as I have been using a (very) cheap Superdrug remover. It was time to treat my nails to something a little bit more up market! He paid around £1.70 for this bottle which comes in a 100ml size and is in a small plastic bottle with twist off cap. I use this remover with small cotton wool ... Read the complete review

I change my nail colour pretty often so it does mean I go through a lot of nail polish remover. I'm not too fussed about what one I use so long as I don't have to use half a bottle and it actually gets rid of my nail polish well. Recently, I saw this Cutex Acetone Free for about £1 in Asda and decided to top up my nail products shelf as it was so cheap. I've also seen it in other stores for around £2. The bottle is pretty tiny so would fit into a small space quite well, and is a transparent orange colour so handy to know when it's just about to run out. I've never had any problems with the lid being too loose and it never unscrews and leaks everywhere. It's a ... Read the complete review
