Cutex Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover
by sympatic Nails are one thing that require constant maintenance and care and I hate it when my nail varnish starts to show any signs of chipping so a good nail varnish remover is an absolute necessity in my opinion and this nail varnish remover from Cutex is a great product which produces excellent results. It is very affordable, I paid £1.60 in ... Superdrug for a 100ml bottle. The packaging is pretty basic, a clear plastic bottle with some product information and branding on it, certainly more functional than attractive but that is not an issue for me and the orange liquid is clearly visible inside so you can easily monitor exactly how much nail varnish you have left. There is an orange screw top lid to reveal the small hole that the liquid is dispensed from. The hole is about the right size as it does not release too much of the nail varnish remover in any one go and in terms of removing nail varnish I use a cotton pad to take on some of the varnish remover and then apply this to my nails to allow it to start to work. The smell is the usual rather caustic one that I find quite unpleasant but just one of those things you have to endure. In terms of how effective it is at removing nail varnish well it certainly gets the thumbs up from me, it is not the quickest that I have ever come across but those tend to be rather more expensive, for the price this one comes in at it represents very good value for money. I do not find myself having to apply too much effort to remove the nail varnish after leaving the pad on my nails for a short period of time. After removing any traces my nails are then ready for whichever colour I have decided upon and my nails look in pretty good condition and ready to go. I certainly cannot find anything to make an issue with concerning this product. It does the job required with no mess and the results are perfectly acceptable. Read the complete review |

Cutex Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover
by Whizz11 I love wearing nail varnish on my toes and fingers but after a few days it inevitably chips and so I need to remove it and start again to make it look good. I read somewhere that when your nail varnish starts to chip you should always remove it for the health of your nails and then apply again so I always keep a bottle of Cutex Acetone ... Free Nail Polish Remover around as it works really well for me. According to an article I read, acetone is quite a powerful chemical, used mainly as a solvent and is highly flammable so I'm quite pleased this nail varnish remover doesn't contain any and is safer to keep with kids around. The liquid has a slight orange colour to it and comes in a plastic bottle with a screw top lid. I once had a problem with the plastic lid as it split when I tightened it up too tight and broke around the top so I had to get rid of that bottle but after that I have has no problems. The liquid is really easy to use. I cover the bottle with a cotton wool pad or ball, whatever I have handy and then tip the bottle up so the cotton pad get quite wet and then I rub it over my nails. It's a really hard working nail varnish remover as with most of my small nails I just need to swipe the cotton wool pad over my toes once or twice and all the varnish comes off. With my big toe I need to rub a bit more but it always comes off completely clean which is nice. Afterwards my nails are still nice and clean and in good condition. This nail varnish remover has quite a strong smell to it and I prefer to use it in a well ventilated room as the smell really gets into my lungs so I usually do it in the bathroom with the window open. Afterwards the cotton pads smell a bit too so you do have to dispose of them fairly quickly. You can use this nail varnish remover false nails if you wear those or you can use it with you regular real nails like I do. The nail varnish remover cost £1.60 for 100ml bottle which I think is really good value as a bottle does last quite a long time. A beauty product I recommend. Read the complete review |

Cutex Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover
by basketofbuttons I have used Cutex nail varnish remover for many years. I sometimes go for the cheaper shop's own brands but when I asked my husband to pick me up a bottle recently when he went to the supermarket, he came back with the Cutex acetone free variety. I was really quite pleased he picked this one, actually, as my nails were starting to look ... and feel a bit dried out and brittle as I have been using a (very) cheap Superdrug remover. It was time to treat my nails to something a little bit more up market! He paid around £1.70 for this bottle which comes in a 100ml size and is in a small plastic bottle with twist off cap. I use this remover with small cotton wool balls. It's runny like water and sticks to high heaven but it works like a dream at removing even the darkest nail polish from my nails. One of the things I love about this nail varnish remover is that it doesn't smudge my polish all over my skin, like some of the cheaper brands can do. A couple of quick wipes with a cotton wool pad soaked in this remover is usually enough to remove even the most stubborn and darkest coloured polishes. It smells really horrible (as all nail varnish removers do) but this one seems to nourish, hydrate and protect my nails far more than the cheaper brands. As it is acetone free, I personally feel that it's less drying for my nails and kinder and far less harsh than an acetone based remover. It also seems to have the added ability to whiten my nails into the bargain. It doesn't profess to be able to do this at all but I have definitely noticed an improvement in the white tips of my nails when I use this remover. It lasts for ages because I only ever need to use it sparingly as it's so strong and it not only cleans my nails perfectly but it nourishes and protects them. I think this is possibly my number one favourite polish remover and I give it full marks. Read the complete review |
