“ Brand: Dermalogica / Foundation / Type: Face Treatment „
I used the Dermalogica 1g foundation as I have pale skin. You can get the shade recommended by a Dermalogica beauty therapist.
*** What is it? ***
Demalogica make a range of skincare products so if you want a foundation which is not likely to irritate your skin and to wear as the end of your skincare routine, then they are a good choice.
The treatment foundation comes in a squeezy tube with a small cap on the end, it has a fine nozel so you can just squirt out a small amount, reducing wastage.
*** What is good about it? ***
I have very senstive skin and this did not seem to irritate it at all.
It goes on light and dries well, without a cakey appearance.
*** What is not so good about it? ***
Their range of shades is quite limited, so if their closest one it isn't right for you, it is a bit tough. I found I ended up feeling that as I am so fair, even this shade was a bit dark/orange for me.
It is quite a simple product - no fancy anti-aging ingredients etc (which is both good and not so good depending on what you want from your foundation).
I would say to begin with, it does seem expensive for a foundation compared to high street names like rimmel, no7, natural collection and max factor but it is worth it! No loreal pun intended there! I bought my first Dermalogica foundation December 2008 and I wore it every day without fail and it lasted until July 2009! If you calculate how much you spend on little bottles here and there it is such good value for money. The product itself in conjunction with other dermalogica products has kept my skin looking great. This is the first foundation I've used that isnt greasy, doesnt make my skin shiny, doesnt clog my pores and keeps outbreaks under control. It is quite a light formula that blends evenly on my skin and is a really good shade match- its very natural. I suffer with outbreaks of eczema too around my eyes and forehead and this product does not irritate or aggravate the skin. If you suffer with outbreaks, hormonal outbreaks, or the odd spot this is definitely worth investing in!
