I bought my first Dior lip gloss last Christmas as a treat and to use on occasions when I was going out in the evening.
The lipgloss contains a shine complex that is meant to "play with substance and shine to enhance color and provide an unbelievable volumising effect." It comes in a fantastic range of 18 colours and effects including glow (nude shades to highlight femininity) pearl (fresh and iridescent shades to add a dash of color) and flash, (audacious and vibrant colors to perfect a style.)
I have colour pearl 576 Sari pink, which is a really soft light pink colour with a hint of gold sparkle. It looks great on a night out as the sparkle adds a bit of glamour but it is not too intense.
The lip gloss comes packaged in a beautiful glass bottle with Dior embossed into the glass and a silver top. it looks like a premium product and I love mine on my dressing table. The top twists off and has an internal applicator brush attached to it, which is not too large and makes it easy to apply the lipgloss to lips. i find that I just apply it to the bottom lip to begin with and then rub my lips together and fill in any gaps on the top lip afterwards. This helps make sure I don't apply too much in one go.
On application the lipgloss feels great, really soft on my lips but not too tacky or sticky, and I do not seem to get my hair caught in it as often as I do with some other similar products that I have used. The colour and shine last for ages, even when eating and drinking and it feels moisturising and soothing on the lips. It gives a dazzling shine but is not too over the top.
The lipgloss is expensive at £22 for 6.3 ml but it lasts for ages and is therefore value for money. I think for the lovely effect it gives and the fab range of colours to choose from it is really worth it.

Lip glosses are almost like a collectable item for me and my collection seems to be ever growing! I have recently started using make up by Dior and recently came across like in my local Debenhams...
** Packaging **
As expected, a luxury premium brand like Dior package their products in a way that makes them look very expensive and really good quality. Dior addicted lipgloss is no exception. The clear plastic rectangular tube has been finished with a circular shape on top, nit only making it look snazzy but much easier to hold while applying it. The Dior logo is printed onto one side of the tube and I've noticed that if you hold it to the light, the tube appears to be several different colours, very clever!
** Stockists and pricing **
You will find a Dior concession in most large department stores including Debenhams, Selfridges and Harrods. They are also stocked in larger Boots stores and they are widely available online, so check out sone discount beauty websites for a reduced price! I paid £20 for the lipgloss from my local Debenhams but it may be available cheaper elsewhere.
** Shades **
Diors website have a good selection of 25 shades with almost ever colour ranging from nude to red but I personally chose 'pink flirt' number 247.
** Application and use **
As mentioned above, the applicator is really easy to hold and simply unscrews for the tube. It has a somewhat small applicator brush, but this allows for precise application. When the applicator is removed from the tube, I have always found there is a nice amount of product on the end to apply and no excess product. When applying the product it is very noticeable that the shade is rich in colour and as a result you don't need to use too much of it. It goes on very easily and it's too thick or gloopy, but instead creates a nice, light layer on the lips. It doesn't have much or a scent or it but it isn't unpleasant like some products. Similarly, the taste is fairly bland but quite sweet (I licked my lip my accident and tasted it!!). Once applied, the colour really stands out and compliments my skin tone and make up well. I've also found that my lips appear quite plump after use too and it gives them a nice shape although this is probably due to the slight shimmer in the product.
** Durability **
Usually, a lip gloss will wear off after a couple of hours or after eating or drinking. Not this one! I have eaten lunch and gone to work with it on and it has stayed put. I only needed to reapply once throughout the day. The only thing I did find is that it is quite sticky and if your hair gets stuck in it, it can remove the product but that is to be excepted really!
** Summary **
So, all in all I found this to be a fantastic product. It applies easily, feels nice while it is on and doesn't need cineast reapplication. A big thumbs up from me!
Until recently, I was a red lipstick virgin. I have always been too afraid to wear red purely due to not knowing what will suit me so I decided to do something about that. On a shopping trip with my sister, we ventured into Debenhams to have a look at the different make up counters and to ask someone for help. Our first port of call was MAC but the assistants were extremely rude and completely ignored us and Dior was the counter that we came to next. The woman who served me was incredibly helpful and spent quite a while with me deciding on which product would be best and this is what I ended up buying.
== Price ==
When I bought this in Debenhams, I didn't even ask the price because I just didn't care. Dior Addict Ultra Gloss costs £20 from Debenhams but after looking on Amazon, it would set you back somewhere from £33 to £49 if you bought it there, which is insane. Who would have thought Amazon would be more expensive than a department store for something? Also, from Boots.com it costs between £20 and £22. I know these prices sound a little bit crazy, even the cheapest at £20, but this product is totally worth paying more for.
== Colours Available ==
The colour I chose was a very bright red. Inside of the bottle, you can see that the colour has added sparkle which is what gives it the intense shine and gloss. There were so many colours to choose from though and if I hadn't known that I wanted red, I would have been spoilt for choice. The Dior Addict Ultra Gloss has a total of 27 different colours on offer, ranging from nudes to pinks to purples and of course, to reds. The whole counter of this product was amazing and I would love to go back and buy some of the other colours.
== Packaging ==
Honestly, the packaging is what drew me to this product. The outer packaging is a quite plain, silver, cardboard box with all of the necessary information printed on it along with the name of the product, colour of the lip gloss and the Dior logo. The actual housing of the lip gloss is what got me excited though. The lip gloss comes in a long, rectangular bottle which is made from clear plastic. Along one side of the bottle is the Dior logo, which is carved out of the plastic and not coloured in any way which leaves the colour of the gloss shining through. The top of the bottle is a silver twist cap which, when turned, reveals the applicator wand inside of the bottle. The bottle has a very expensive look to it and it should have, considering the price but I instantly fell in love with it. It screams luxury and looks fabulous as I pull it out of my handbag to reapply.
== Application ==
As I said before, I purchased a red lip gloss so application for this colour could be slightly different to others. After unscrewing the lid and lifting out the wand, I am greeted with a very vibrant, sparkly red gloss which, to some people, may look a little scary. I was slightly nervous applying this for the first time in case I got it wrong but it was very simple. The wand is small and shaped with a slight curve to the end so when you start to put it on your lips, it glides around the edges with ease. This is very important when it comes to red lip gloss as no one wants a load of red around the edges or over the edges of their lips. The gloss went on very smoothly and was easy to apply without having to alter any parts of my lips because of smudging or bleeding.
== Durability ==
As a lip gloss on its own, this does last quite a long time but not quite long enough. If I use this for a night out, I do have to reapply a couple of times due to drinking or eating etc which will rub of the gloss eventually. Luckily, it doesn't smudge a whole deal if you are careful. However, I have found that applying a cheaper red lipstick (thanks to the sales woman for suggesting this) underneath the gloss makes it last a hell of a lot longer. I can go for hours without having to reapply this way. The only difference really is that the colour of the gloss obviously changes a little bit when using over a lipstick but I don't mind this at all. The bottle holds 6.3 ml of gloss which may not sound much but considering I don't use it all of the time, it has lasted me for quite a while so far and doesn't look as though it will run out any time soon.
== Scent and Taste ==
Although this lip gloss does not have a scent as such, as in it is not a scented product, it does have a smell to it. The smell of the gloss itself is very sweet but nothing exactly springs to mind when I smell it. It is not an unpleasant smell but rather one that you would expect from this kind of cosmetic product. Obviously, it is impossible to not lick your lips at some point while wearing lip gloss or lipstick so I always do a little taste test at some point. Unlike some cheaper brands of lip gloss, this one has quite a nice taste. Now, I don't mean that I want to go licking it off all of the time but it is far from unpleasant. Before, I have cringed a little bit at the taste of some lip glosses but not with this one. I am quite happy to say that both taste and smell are very acceptable.
== Overall ==
Dior Addict Ultra Gloss is well worth the money I paid for it. The packaging is luxurious and stands out amongst other brands, it last extremely well and the colours to choose from are to die for. Although I don't think I would have spent this on a lip gloss in the past, I certainly will be again, even if it isn't all the time. I guess it is true when they say you get what you pay for.
I've probably tried out in excess of 50 different lip glosses and i usually opt for a cheaper brand than Dior, but a friend told me that the Dior Addict Lip Glosses were the best around and well worth the money. But sadly, i'd have to disagree. If i remember correctly i paid about £20 for a tube from Boots which is a lot more than i'm used to paying for lip glosses so i expected it to work wonders. But it was just too much for me.
It did have a nice soft brush which made it easy to apply but it felt very gloopy and heavy on my lips and also the shade i'd picked looked a lot darker once applied than it had appeared in the bottle, so it totally didn't suit me. I think it was the Pink Veil shade if i rember correctly. With it being so heavy it did last ages once applied but it was just a bit over the top for me.
I think this lip gloss is more for someone who wears their make-up a bit heavier than i do, so i do wish i'd spent my money on something else. You can buy it in several different shades, so perhaps there is one that i would like but i'm just not willing to spend another £20 to find out!
I love Dior Brand and I totally understand the brand.
I don't wear too much make up and not very heavy at all, so I'm always on a look out for quality products. I don't like to wear lipstick as it's stick to my lips and shows every crack on my lips, I like to have smooth and shiny lips at all times. You can purchase this lip gloss at £15.80 but if you hurry you might be able to grab a bargain in the sales for £7.50. (which is when I usually buy them as that way I can have 2 for the price of 1). I have the clear and the nude shades.
If you'd like a list of the shades pls visit www.dior.com
The gloss has a lot of pigment which makes the colour stand out, and the shine is perfect. The shine comes handy with more neutral shades and you only need to apply it once and it will show up perfectly on your lips. To be honest the gloss is quite sticky and it will stay put for a long time, the only time this causes a problem is when you're out and about and it's quite windy and you're hair will most likely get caught on it.
Dior is a luxury brand and they've kept to this up producing this lip-gloss.
I am an absolutely massive fan of lip glosses. I bought my Dior Addict Lip Gloss simply because of its beautiful tube, its brand name and all that I had heard about it.
I paid approximately £18.50 at a Dior counter in Debenhams for mine and I absolutely love it. OK, I'l admit £18.50 is abit pricey for a small tub of gloss. But this isnt just any gloss...its DIOR!
There are a wide range of colours and smells available in the Dior Addict Lip Glosses. I have the clear one, which I love! This is a very glamourous gloss and I do use it for everyday use, which is abit of a waste I know, but I love the finish it gives. It is so shiney and makes my lips look irresistable!
The product is pretty similar in how you would apply the product. Unscrew the lid and take out the wand, making sure there isnt too much gloss and apply to your lips. Simple. I love the way the product applies. Nice and smooth!
Like mentioned above, I bought mine for £18.50 which is abit excessive, but it is a luxury item after all! Everybody deserves abit of luxury!
My favourite of all is the packaging of this product. A very glamourous package to a very glamourous product. I love getting the product out of my bag and showing it off. Absolutely stunning.
I love this gloss and think everybody deserves abit of luxury in their lives. This gloss certainly does make me feel luxurious! I love it and will buy another one when this one runs out. Not sure what colour to get yet tho!
Highly recommended. Get this if it is your only luxury make-up item in your make-up bag or like me in your hang bag!
The perfect gift for any girly girl!
This kissable, appealing lipgloss can be used day or night, for going down town at night, or popping to the shops for a browse around in the day!
The gloss itself is just the right consistancy, not too sticky and not too light so that it comes off at the first sign of trouble.
Re-application is required usually after an hour or so, but the same could be said about any lipgloss really.
I first came into contact with this lipgloss when I stole it from my Mum for a night out and have to say, although I felt guilty, I never ended up returning it!
Since then to clear my conscience I've bought my Mum another one, and one for myself, I also fully expect these to become a gift I give to all my girly friends who enjoy looking good and don't mind spending a little more so that they can achieve this.
I love Dior lip gloss and feel instantly glam when wearing it. The pale pink is lovely and much more wearable than the other shades. I do prefer the red shimmer one for nights out to give lips a lovely red juicy shine.
The packaging is lovely but it feels like a lot of your money has been used to compensate for this rather than the product that's inside. This doesn't put me off though and will continue to use Dior for the forseeable future.
An earlier Dior Gloss in red was a little too much as it was far to deep a colour and felt like applying your lips with nail varnish. The later ones are much much better and seem to have the balance right between colour and depth.
I don't wear this everyday as I don't like to waste it at work.
How much prettier can lip gloss be?
My first thought with this lipgloss was that it was a bit pricey. When I purchased it, I knew why. It's worth every penny.
I bought the shade "Lemonade". It's a gorgeous pearly, pale pink colour and has a really pretty irridescent sheen to it. I've been complimented on it so many times. It also smells gorgeous, and tastes lovely to boot. The bottle is really pretty and stylish, and looks great in your make-up bag.
With this lipgloss, a little goes a long way so it's really worth every penny, as one bottle will last a long time; one application will take you through a good half a day, as it stays on quite well.
Probably one of my favourite lipglosses of all time! It's so special that i won't actually use this on a daily basis, but it really makes me feel special and my lips look great when I use it, so I would definitely reccoment people purchasing this for use on special occasions!
I came across this lip gloss when trying out various new products when I was trying to decide what make up to use for my wedding day. I love this lip gloss!
Firstly, it smells gorgeous, really lovely. I also love the cute little bottle it comes in, really smart - I'm not usually one for paying attention to packaging but I think it really stands out and looks nice and sleek.
The applicator makes it really easy to apply with no wastage. It seems to last pretty well too - naturally, when eating and drinking you do need to touch up every so often, but it really does last pretty well.
It doesn't have the sticky feeling to it that I've had with some other lip glosses either which is a bonus, I hate it when you lips are sticky like that.
I only use one colour so can't really comment on the colour range, but I love the one that I use. It really sparkles and gives a great glossy finish.
I was having a browse at House of Fraser and was mesmerised by the picture of the girl with the bright pink, extra sparkly and shiny lips. I had a few pink lipsticks and glosses, but never seen anything like this before. I love my make up bold and vibrant a lot of the time, and I'd been dying to own one of these super shiny, attention grabbing glosses for ages.
The last time I tried a Dior addict gloss, it was nice, shiny, but not quite as bold and daring as I wanted it do be. I think these come in 2 different varieties, the normal glossy ones and the sparkly glossy ones. I owned a regular one and was happy with its quality and shine, but I'm always on the look out for something more in your face and this was exactly what I wanted!
I went over to the counter and got the make up advisor to put some on me. It was exactly the shiny, vibrant and daring shade as on the photo! I just had to have there and then! The texture is a beautiful, sleek but not sticky, very shiny and long lasting lip gloss. The vibrant colour and high shine and sparkle just add to the bold look that I'm going for. I know this stuff is pricey, but to me, it's worth the extra as it's a shade and long lasting super glossy finish I don't see often in other glosses.
This comes very highly recommended and is an awesome luxury gloss! The tube looks very classy and I'd say it would make an excellent gift for someone special.
I first spotted this new series of Addict lip glosses about a year ago. I'm always on the lookout for new and unusual colours as I'm admittedly a bit narrow minded. This whole "pink craze" brings out the rebel in me, and it seems that by avoiding pink you're only left with 20% of possible shades to choose from. Red seems too special for everyday use, though I'm not shy about wearing it. This shade (537 Stretchy Brown) caught my eye with it's two contrasting colours. It is a natural brown with contrasting pink/ purple glitter particles. (Yes, I know, but it doesn't look pink, more like some car paints create a bi-colour effect.)
I was very ready to try something of better quality than some others. I know that a brand name doesn't guarantee quality but supposedly you get what you pay for.
Even some glosses from other "reasonable quality" brands had proved lousy. Some leave a smudge around your mouth, others make their way onto your teeth, still others simply vanish without the least input from yourself.
This new series promises a lighter texture compared to previous Addict glosses, a "magnifying glass" plumping effect (both visually and literally) and great staying power. I haven't tried any previous Dior lip glosses and comment on how they compare.
As far as I'm aware the tube and box are very much like all previous ones, though the lid can vary in colour, gold, silver, blue or a combination. This one is blue with a silver knob. The box is the usual holographic silver, like the original Addict perfume.
The truth is that one can only expect so much from a liquid texture. If you brush against it with your hand, it will come off. Anything else is unrealistic. With that in mind, I'm very impressed by this product. The gloss seems to contain a lot of pigment. Even this relatively neutral shade doesn't require applying a big amount. It stays where you put it and for a long time. The first time I used it, I sort of kept an eye on the time it would last. I applied it in the early afternoon, and it stayed on during a couple of drinks and dinner later at night. I didn't need to reapply once, there was enough left to use makeup remover on it.
Wind, hair and lip gloss can be a problematic combination. So I avoid using it before leaving the house, but apply it once I arrive somewhere.
On the whole I'm very happy. I paid £16 at House of Fraser. It may seem like a lot for lip gloss. But in view of the enjoyable use of it and how little one needs, it seems very worth it. There are cheaper prices online, but I like the shopping experience at Fraser's. There is also a point system that gives buyers vouchers. In the long run this can lower the prices of things a bit.
I won't list all the available shades, ciao has put them into separate listings individually. I would definitely recommend this,and I will have to get at least one other colour soon.
PS Another plus point is that it's fragrance and flavour free. I always wear perfume and don't like cosmetics distracting me with their own smells.
Dior kiss lip gloss tubes, well what can I say about these, I was really excited when I discovered these, I got them as a gift for one Christmas I am usually not that fussy on my lip wear, I tended to go for light colours but to be honest I didn't pay any more then a fiver for a lippy as I always loose them, So when these arrived under the Christmas tree I wasn't really expecting much. But WOW I loved them.
These came in a really cute box with 3 different shades of the Dior kiss range. Firstly there was 008 sorbet meringue, this is white in colour I know this sound revolting but once it is applied is just like a clear gloss with a hint of sparkle to it. And I my opinion it is the nicest shade from the kiss range, as I don't do over fussy colours. Also in the box was 118 cotton candy shade this to is very light in colour but has a light pink with sparkle tint to it. Also it contained 418 hazelnut lychee which was lot darker and didn't have the same shimmer as the other two, so I was not very keen on it, I found this to be to dark for me and I would have classed this as a day gloss I deal for everyday use. I did prefer the other two as they were what I would call a night make up.
These handy little tubes contain 18mls of product, I know this doesn't sound like a lot but trust me they last for ever. These are ideal sized tubes as they can easily slip into a hand bag, pocket.
Once I became addicted to these handy little lip glosses I just had to check out their full colour range, so I visited the Dior makeup concession within my local debenhams store. And they had a range of roughly 8 colours, these didn't include the limited edition shades that Dior sometimes introduce. I would say the range had about four out of eight shade that I would wear, but I have to admit they are all really lovely shades. I feel that the Dior kiss range could cater for anybody.
The advantages are this will not break the bank as it costs 12.50 within debenhams, but in the past I have managed to bag this lip gloss for 7.00 on the internet, so it is worth surfing the net to grab the bargains. This is also very small so can be carried even if you don't carry a bag, this moisturises and nourishes your lips, and lasts.
The disadvantages, this can be quite sticky at first, but once you have worn it for a few minutes it tends to even out. Leaves lipstick on edges of cups and glasses, and needs a bit of elbow grease to get rid of it. But other then this I total adore this gloss.
ANOTHER TIP when you buy this from debenhams, asks the consultant about the other Dior make up products and they, will give you a FREE make over with all to products for you skin type. This make over will usually cost but if you are buying they will do it for free in a bid to get you to buy more. And when you spend over 40.00 they will give you a load of samples, well they have in my experience, if the consultant does not give you any just ask for them, as I have been told that all the makeup concessions in debenhams have FREE SAMPLES but they don't display them, because people will take loads if they are free. You may even get samples with out purchase if you ask, but if you are anything like me you will feel a tad rude doing so with out a purchase.
I started using "Dior addict lip-gloss" 2month ago; I've purchased other Dior products like the Dior skin foundation which I adore.
My friend recommended I tried out their lip-gloss because it is one of the best moisturizing lip-gloss they offer.
I spent £11.95 on this product (not bad at all for a Dior item) on a website called Lapreya.
What does the promo say about the Dior Addict Lip gloss?
Vinyl Brilliance with a "magnifying glass" effect.
Lips are extraordinarily luscious, unbelievably brilliant, as if filmed with a vinyl lacquer.
Long wearing intense colour.
Lips are even lacquered, fascinating hypnotizing and radiant with colour.
Supple- non sticky texture
Lips are perfectly shaped and filled with light; they remain amazingly soft and supple.
As far as I'm aware Dior offers12 different shades for this particular lip-gloss from light nudes to dark pinks.
It's very helpful where manufacturers offer a large amount of shades like Dior in this case, as you can really find the perfect colour for you.
~~~ Pout power ~~~
my lips look so plump when I wear this lip-gloss. It's probably because shiny which made them look a lot bigger then they usually are. I think it creates a really glamour pout as light reflects from the gloss at all angles.
This lip-gloss has a average staying power, it stays on for up to an hour which is quiet good for a lip-gloss, obviously I would defiantly expected a lot longer for a lipstick as most lipsticks are matte.
Taste and Scent
the taste isn't too bad compared to my other lip glosses.
The smell isn't that bad either, I've bought lip glosses in the past and the taste and smell were revolting,
My verdict of this product
Dior addict gloss is one of my favorite lipglosses. My lips look very glamarous and leaves my once dried lips smooth and moisturized
I love the light-weight feeling of this productm its not too heavy and my lips don't have that cheap sticky feel to them.
