The Dior Healthy Glow Booster Blush is a new type of product that was first launched last year. The blusher states that it reacts with the moisture in each skin type, giving a delicious and subtle blush to the cheeks. When applied, the initially fresh, light colour develops into a rosy blush to suit each individual complexion, for an ultra-natural, tailor-made healthy glow that lasts all day.
The packaging of the blusher is gorgeous like most Dior products and it comes in a silver compact with a mirror in a blue velour pouch and the Dior logo embossed into the blusher. The blusher only comes in one colour, Petal 001, and when you first open the compact you might get a bit of a shock as it looks very pink! The compact also contains a blusher brush, which is very soft and quite wide and makes it really easy to apply the blusher.
When you first apply the blusher to your skin it seems to be slightly chalky and a light pink. However the chalky texture quickly disappears and the colour seems to blend into your skin easily and fade. As the blusher is meant to react with everyone's skin differently it is difficult to say what it will be like on someone else - I think it will always have pink tones rather than peach - but on me it does quickly seem to settle down to a slight pink glow that looks very natural like you have just come in from a cold day outside.
I usually only wear this blusher during the summer when I have a slight tan (although I am still quite light skinned.) but would not use it in winter when I need to use heavier make up. The blusher does tend to fade a bit after a few hours so needs to be re-applied if you want to keep looking blushed! However even when it has faded it still seems to give me a "healthy" appearance which is good.
The blusher is expensive, as are all Dior products, at about £30. However I would anticipate that it will last at least two or maybe three years (I am just starting to use mine again for the second year and it looks like it is still nearly full) so in the long run will be value for money.
