This is a pretty old lipgloss, but it's still sold by various online vendors so I thought I'd review it anyway. There isn't a standard price for these since they're currently unavailable in the more mainstream stores. I actually got this in Paris at the huge Gallerie Lafayette store a few years ago and remember paying around 20 Euros for it! ~~Product Description~~ (thebeautyclub.com.au) Provides multi-effect transparent shades. Tasty scents & long wearing Plumped-up shine gives volumizing effect Adds sparkle to your lips & highlights their shape. Soothing formula makes your lips feel soft & comfort Your lips look supple & succulent. ~~Packaging~~ My tube is just like the one shown but in a really nice green colour. The body is see-through and the end and cap is silver. It's quite a long, squishy tube at 11cm, but it's very portable! The applicator is slanted with a hole in so you can squeeze out as much as you want or apply it directly onto the lips. ~~My Thoughts~~ I really like this. My colour is 308 in Granny Smith, a gorgeous apple green colour with a lot of multicoloured shimmer particles. The colour that you see inside the tube looks like a really true green colour, but when you apply it you just get a really lovely hint of green. I don't mind this as you can see the colour under movement which I think looks really beautiful! The gloss is pretty thick and even a little sticky at first, but after you've put it on top of your lips, it doesn't feel heavy. I've found that a little goes a long way since I don't like going for ultra, ultra shiny lips! It makes the lips look reallllly glossy and I like wearing it on top of different lipsticks. I would say that it lasts for a pretty decent amount of time on the lips - there is still, happily, a lot of shine after a few hours! I wouldn't say that it moisturises the lips, but it definitely makes them look flattering, especially under motion! Oops! Almost forgot! The smell is gorgeous! For this colour, the gloss smells like fresh apples!! You can definitely smell it there when you apply or stick the tube a little, but it fades quite quickly. The shine and glitter definitely make my already full lips look a little bit bigger as well :) Reading the product description about soothing abilities, it feels nice on, but I wouldn't say it was soothing! ~~Overall~~ A very nice, high-shine lip gloss, even if they come at a price! Goes lovely on top of lipsticks and you only need a little for really glossy lips! Love this! I've still got a little bit left, but this experience has made me want to try out other Dior lip products!
I'm often read magazine interviews where the interviewee is asked to name the beauty product they just can't live without. I always felt that was slightly shallow. However, as soon as I tried the Dior lipgloss, i competely understood what they meant. It's quite simply an amazing product! My only gripe is that is doesn't come in more colours. I have never yet managed to find a lipstick that stays in place longer than it takes me to leave the house, and lipglosses are far worse. This product however, manages to stay where it should for quite some time. It's a bit gloopy at first, but dries quickly and doesn't have that nasty chemical type taste or smell of other lipglosses. It can be worn over lipstick, but I tend to use it just on its own. I got mine on a shoppng trip in New York, but it's one of the very few make up purchases that I've actually replaced. Usually I keep trying different products aiming to find something better. But I'm happy with this now, and won't be looking elsewhere.
I'm always on the hunt for a good bargain or a freebie and my DiorKiss lip gloss has to be one of the swankiest freebies I've received. I won't go into the ins and outs of how I got it you might want to check out swapitshop if you aren't already familiar with it. So for the lip gloss. The one I own is a gift with purchase size which means it's smaller than the full sized gloss you'd expect to buy in the shops. It's still a very generous size though at 8ml and is compact without being so ridiculously small that it gets lost in the murky depths of my handbag. DiorKiss is available in a range of colours to suit your personal tastes. I own Sorbet Meringue which is a frosty white colour, complete with icy looking sparkles. In the tube, it seems a rather unappealing colour. After all, who wants their lips to resemble those of a corpse? But on applying it, the results are quite different. The gloss has its own inbuilt applicator which is quite standard amongst lip glosses nowadays. Once you remove the lid, there's a slanted plastic applicator with a hole in the centre. Squeeze the tube gently and the perfect amount of gloss is left on the applicator which can easily be applied onto your puckered lips. As for the results, you get nothing less than you'd expect from a premium band such as Dior. The gloss goes on easily and gives an even layer of shine and sparkle. I can't feel the pieces of glitter on my lips as they're so small but the look is very impressive. I'd advise using this lip gloss for evening wear rather than as a day to day gloss as the sheer sparkle and brilliance could be a bit overwhelming for your colleagues at 8am on a Monday morning. I do think though that my Sorbet Meringue DiorKiss might make an appearance in the office during the run up to Christmas. It's far classier than draping tinsel round your neck but provides an equally effective bit of bling if you're looking to spread some Christmas cheer in the workplace. DiorKiss gloss is thicker than many other lip glosses I've used but it doesn't feel sticky when applied. Instead, it feels nourishing on my cracked lips and the hint of vanilla in both the scent and flavour is another welcome addition. Another thing I particularly like about this lip gloss is that it can be blended with or used on top of my other lipsticks. Since the colour I have lacks any real punch, I often put a red lipstick underneath and add the DiorKiss on top to complete the look. It also works well with those disgustingly vivid red colours that always seem to come as part of a gift with purchase set. The frosty whiteness of the DiorKiss gloss does the perfect job of neutralizing the red underneath and I find it combines well with nearly all of my lipsticks, regardless of the brand or colour. As you'd expect with any Dior product, DiorKiss lip glosses don't come cheap. On the Boots website, they are selling at £14, although you can probably pick it up cheaper if you search around a bit. That said, I will be very tempted to buy another one when my current gloss runs out. I'm definitely keen to sample some of the other colours in the range an, unless I can somehow blag another freebie, I think I'll have to scour the internet for a bargain. *************************************************** Also posted on Ciao.com
Firstly I have to apologise for yet another cosmetic review, but I have just come across a much loved lip gloss in the bottom of my handbag and I wanted to share it with everyone, as I feel this is something that all women should know about. Here I am going to review the Christian Dior kiss lip gloss, one which is very similar to the Lancôme juicy tubes. PRODUCT This wonderful lip gloss is the Christian Dior kiss 008 Sorbet meringue shade, it is a clear opaque gloss packed full of holographic glitter speckles that add intense shimmer to your smackers. The gloss itself can be worn on top of another lip stick or can ever be extremely flattering worn on its own, this is a very chic fashionable lip gloss that is very sweet smelling and tasting it reminds me of lemonade so it has a slight lemon scent and taste to it. These were first introduced as limited edition lip glosses but as they became so popular Dior introduced them on a permanent basis, although I think the packaging may have varied since I bought my tube but I am sure all of the colours still exist. Dior started with six shades but as time has gone on they now stock nine different shades, these range from this light white to a very rich berry colour. All colours are fresh and have delicious fruity flavours which is a great bonus for me. Each of these stunning shades come with enriched lip balm complex which nourishes and moisturises your lips. Not only does this condition but it also gives you a very intensive shine making your lips look plump and jam packed full of sparkle, without making your lips look to sticky or wet. These kiss lip glosses come in a matt of shimmer finish, I personally love the shimmer finish shades better as the matt once can look really wet and plastic looking. PRICE I purchased my kiss lip gloss from the Debenhams Dior cosmetic concession, a few years ago and at the time it cost me 14.00, but as the years have gone on the packaging has changed slightly but not by a great deal and the price has gone up by a pound, so you can expect to pay 15.00 for one of these glosses today. I have seen these on www.strawberry.net for as little as 9.00 so it is worth looking around the net to see if you can find it cheaper. PACKAGING This lip gloss comes in an 18ml/0.6oz squeezable plastic tube with a silver screw off lid. It also comes with a handy curved applicator spout for a precise application, you just squeeze the tube and the product comes out of a small hole in the top of the gloss applicator. I find this very good as it only comes out in small amounts but if you squeeze to hard them you will end up with too much gloss coming out of the tube and it will go to waste as it cannot be sucked back into the tube. MY VIEWS This truly is a great lip gloss that is by far one of my favourites, I am so glad I have found it as I have been looking for it for weeks. I should really learn to clean my handbag one in a while. When I am wearing this my lips appear plum and a lot fuller than normal. The only thing I don't really like is the fact that it is very sticky when it is first applied to your lips, but it does dry off a little bit making it last a bit longer. I never eat or drink anything for at least ten minutes until it sets as it will be removed very quickly if I didn't let it set. I feel that this Dior Kiss lip gloss is perfect as I gives me a fantastic shimmer shine that is very similar to the water shine diamonds look, the colour is ideal for me and it is also very long wearing providing you let it set. For the price of 14.00 I have had this since December 2006, so in my eyes this has been a real bargain as it has lasted well over eighteen months and I still have plenty of gloss left.
I was given this as a present and I'm so glad I got DiorKiss! It is one of the best lipglosses and colour that I have ever tried, and it is probably the one of the best lipglosses I own! Anyway, it has sleek packaging, that has lots of lipgloss inside. I bought the shade Grape Freeze, which is a sparkly pink colour. It is so good on its own, and also on top of a lipstick. It tastes of grape obviously & the other different shades taste different, like the Sorbet Meringue tastes a bit like cherry. There are so many colours, deep reds, sparkly pinks, light purpley colours, so you'll definetly find a shade to suit you. This lipgloss comes last in the sticky category, and it only starts to fade after a few hours! It feels tingling in a nice way when applied, and then I realised it said lip plumping , even though it didn't, which is the only fault I could find. I also love the sparkles in it and they don't look childish at all, they dont come out in big pieces like it looks like on the tube! I actually liked it so much that I bought one myself with my own money when I saw it on offer!! The lipgloss has some great colours, tastes delicious, has cute sparkles in it, the packaging makes it look expensive (which it is!) and it's not sticky so there are so many good points about this lipgloss!! The only bad thing I can say about this is that its a bit on the pricey side and that it doesn't really plump lips as claimed (though I don't mind at all!) The price is high but I can honestly say it is worth it. DiorKiss can be bought from Selfridges, some Boots stores and some Superdrug stores it is sold for around £12-14 depending where you buy it.There are some good deals on discount online stores so it's worth looking around for the best price. If you're looking for a lip-plumping gloss don't buy this, but if you want an everyday lipgloss which will last and make your lips look amazing, definetly buy it, if your thinking about getting this go for it, You wont Regret it!
The transparent shine along with the smooth and supple effect is sure to bring attention to your lips /
