Advantages: Smooth finish, easy to apply
Disadvantages: Nothing really unless you use copious amounts you may run out
I have been using this dream matte mousse for nearly 2 years since I got back from Australia and my tan faded, I needed something to cover up small areas on my face but not wash out my colour too much.
I found this as part of a deal in superdrug and decided to give it a go. I apply a small amount under my eyes and where it is needed with my finger. It smoothes on really easily and blends well with my skin tone. You can get different shades so make sure you use the tester in the shop to ensure you dont end up looking too orange!
It gives a matt dry finish, and works really well but if you so much as brush it against anything, it will rub off immediately. It has no staying power in that respect, although if you dont touch it and dont rub your face at all then it will stay on all day. The actual product is just like vanilla mousse with colouring in it. It is soft and bouncy to the touch.
It comes in a small glass pot with a peach coloured lid, but dont be fooled by its small size. I use it every day and it goes so far that I have had the same tub since I returned from travelling. It really is amazing and the more I use it the more it seems to expand!
It has no smell and is suitable for most skin types. You can use it all over your face as a foundation or in small dabs as a cover up.
Maybelline is an excellent brand and I trust their products, try this out if you want a foundation that wont dry out if you dont use it often. It costs between £6 - £8.
Summary: A fantastic face finish!
