The cleanser contains alcohol which means that it kills off any bacteria, which can help stop you inadvertently putting any germs onto your face which could cause blemishes. One downside to this cleanser in comparison to the Mac one is that it has a strong alcohol smell, which can be a little off-putting, but does go away once the brushes have dried. The cleanser does an effective job...more

E.L.F Daily Brush Cleaner: Quickly clean your brushes! (605 words)
by - written on 24/11/12 (Very useful, 13 readings)
Rating:

Cleaning your brushes everyday can be a pain. Especially when using the traditional method of soap and water, this means you have to leave your brushes out to dry, which still takes hours. When shopping on eyeslipsface.co.uk, I saw that their Studio line had a daily brush cleaner, for quickly cleaning your brushes in between makeup applications. The formula is antibacterial, and so helps to keep your brushes both clean and hygienic, with no need to wait ages for the brush to dry. This daily brush cleaner comes in a simple black plastic, spray bottle that features only the name of the product on the front. The bottle itself contain an ingredients list etc. All ...  Read the complete review

Clean and Hygienic brushes (716 words)

It is important to keep your make-up brushes clean - if you think about it they will be going from your face to your make-up and back again on a daily basis and are bound to pick up bacteria. Cleaners for make-up brushes can be difficult to find. I know Clinique make one and so do MAC, but they cost £12.50 and £9.50 respectively which at the time of purchase was more than I was willing to pay. I used to wash my make-up brushes in baby shampoo, which worked OK, but it was time consuming to dry them. I actually bought a bottle of ELF (which stands for eyes, lips, face) brush shampoo first, but again washing and drying the brushes was time consuming, so when I spotted the ..  Read the complete review

You name any beauty product, ELF probably sells it. ELF products are split into 3 categories, Basic, Studio and Mineral. All sold at different price brackets. This product is from the Studio Line, like most other products in this line, this retails for £3.50 "The ELF daily brush cleaner is an anti-bacterial daily brush cleanser for quick cleaning in-between make-up applications." "After using your brush, spray several spritz's of cleaner over the brush bristles. ...  Read the complete review

A cheaper alternative? (297 words)
by - written on 01/01/13 (Very useful, 33 readings)
Rating:

My usual brush cleanser of choice has been the Mac cleanser, however in an effort to save some pennies I bought this alternative from ELF to see if I could get similar results at a cheaper price. The ELF brush cleanser cost me around £3.50 whereas the Mac cleanser retails for significantly more. So, how did it perform? The first thing I have to note that I like about this cleanser is that it comes in a spray bottle. This makes the application so easy as you simply spray onto the brushes and then wipe the brushes on a cloth to remove excess makeup and then allow them to air-dry. The cleanser contains alcohol which means that it kills off any ...  Read the complete review
