Recently having a 50% offer off anything on the e.l.f (e.l.f.com) which is a cosmetic site known for cheapness and usually decent quality items I was unable to resist treating myself to a few new items. I have joined the site which means I often get emails with special offers on them (thankfully!) and I order alot from them and although delivery (unless you get a free option of that) is £3.50 that applies no matter how much I order so I think its brilliant! I ordered some make-up on my last visit but decided to invest in a few new make-up brushes as well. I use makeup brushes on a daily basis and mislay them and stuff from time to time so these brushes mainly ... Read the complete review

Anyone who uses brushes to apply make up will know what I mean when I say you find a brush you love and use it until it's completely worn out before grudgingly replacing it and the replacement rarely lives up to the original. My defining eye brush was ancient and I loved it, it seemed to have been made especially for my eye socket shape and did a great job for all the years I used it however a few months ago I couldn't deny the fact it was on its way out and needing replacing. I buy a few items here and there from E.L.F (www.eyeslipsface.co.uk) and saw their defining brush at £1.50 so decided to give it a go. The brush is about 6 inches long with a round ... I usually only ever apply lipstick directly from the tube, but when I bought a couple of make-up palettes containing lip glosses I realised I would need a new lip brush. I did have a retractable Ruby and Millie lip brush, but it fell apart some time ago, so I turned to elf. Elf (which stands for eyes lips face) is a budget brand and I own quite a lot of their brushes already. I find them generally to be good quality for the price and as I didn't think this would be used all that regularly, a cheaper option seemed the way to go. At the moment elf products are only available online in the UK (from www.eyeslipsface.com), which is where I ordered this from. It ... Read the complete review

I bought one of these brushes some time ago as part of my Elf experiment - can their products really be any good even though they're £1.50 each? Well, for the most part yes! However, even though I love some of their other brushes, this particular purchase was not a good one. The lip defining brush is the same design as all of Elf's brushes - a plain white handle stating what type of brush it is and bristles held in place by a metal band. Simple and practical rather than high class, but that's the kind of gal I am! Like many lip brushes, it had a stiff point when I got it. (Note the word "had", it will crop up later). I tried it out with ... Read the complete review
