Advantages: Looks good, long lasting, good variety of colours.
Disadvantages: Not exactly a liquid lipstick, some may find the stickiness off-putting.
If you read my reviews, you are probably aware that ELF is one of my favourite make-up brands as the products are usually of a good quality, and quite affordable. I'm always buying bits and pieces from ELF and I ordered one of these luscious liquid lipsticks when I placed an order a few months ago.
What ELF Says
Lip therapy is here. Intensive hydrating agents along with natural pigments leave lips with long-lasting colour and moisture. This luscious liquid lipstick creates wearable colour that flatters a multitude of skin tones and looks.
Directions
To activate, twist pen 10-20 times or until color is seen.
Layer on color.
Re-apply anytime.
Packaging
The lipstick comes in a pen style tube with a slanted foam applicator at one end that is covered with a cap. The cap clicks on securely and I carry this lipstick around in my bag a lot and the cap has never come off. To use, you twist the other end of the tube until the liquid lipsticks appears on the foam applicator. ELF says you need to twist 10-20 times the first time, but it's more like 20-30 times. You only have to do this the first time though so I didn't really mind. Once the pen is "activated" you need to be very careful when twisting, so as to not dispense too much.
The Product
This liquid lipstick is available in 12 shades, ranging from pinks to reds to nude shades. I have it in Brownie Points which is a nude brown-ish shade. I was a little worried it might not suit my fair skin tone, but it actually looks really good-definitely a "my lips but better" shade for me. I do think that this is a shade that would suit all skin tones. Honestly, I would describe this as a pigmented lipgloss rather than a liquid lipstick. While it is pigmented, it is not as pigmented as a lipstick and doesn't give as much coverage. That said, it is a really good product. It is easy to apply evenly using the foam applicator and gives a glossy finish. It is a little sticky, but this means that it lasts longer so I don't really mind the stickiness much, but a lot of people really hate sticky lip products, so keep this in mind before buying. It lasts for a good 5-6 hours, unless I eat or drink something in which case I need to reapply. It also moisturises my lips, and as long as I have it on my lips feel soft and hydrated.
Price and Availability
As with all ELF products, this is available from the ELF website, www.eyeslipsface.co.uk, where it retails for £1.50 and can occasionally be bought for less on offer. As far as I know, ELF products do not retail at any physical stores. You get 1.5g of product for the price, which really isn't a lot, but given the price I don't really mind.
Final Word
Although this isn't what I would call a lipstick, it does work quite well as a gloss, and it is quite good value for money. I really like the shade as well, and think it looks lovely on my lips. It is a little sticky but I don't mind that, and will definitely be purchasing this again, but if you don't like sticky lip products, stay away from this one.

Summary: Not a liquid lipstick, but a good lip gloss nevertheless.
