Advantages: Cheap, great range of colours, easy to apply and has longevity
Disadvantages: Cheap packaging, no applicator
Recently I went through my make-up bag and although I have alot of make-up I felt really bored with what was in it! I decided to have a huge throw out and replenish stocks and because I had read so many reviews online about the online cosmetic company e.l.f (Eyeslipsface) by you lovely dooyooers bringing my attention to how cheap the products are I decided to take a look there first.
I was pleased at the time as there was an offer on that if I spent about £15.00 I got an eyeshadow compact worth £9.00 free and believe me after rummaging around on the site for a few minutes I soon managed to spend that amount with ease!
I always, always wear blusher when wearing make-up. Being fair skinned with black hair I can look washed out and I do have cheekbones I like to show off but find I need really subtle shades or I look like a clown!
This blusher is available in 6 shades and I went for 'Coy' not only cos it appeared a light pinky colour but I liked the name (clever marketing eh lol).
The compact has a see through lid that is a slip and slid idea with a white plastic base and then on the top of it we are told that it is E.L.F Natural Radiance Blusher. It easy enough too click and slide open and is very secure however not one bit robust! I popped mine in a small make up bag after only using it a couple of times and it got completely smashed up so it isn't as tough as it may appear so word of warning there...look after it!
It comes on a pink backed coloured card and on the front of that we are told who it is by, the colour and what it is etc and on the back your told a little bit about the product, directions for use are given along with the ingredients being listed and contact details for E.L.F are given. The card is informative enough though although I like the design of the small blusher casing (this only contains 2g of product by the way) I was upset at it breaking badly on me and for no good reason either!
The Blusher Itself:
Well this comes with no applicator so remember you need your own if out and about. I find this to actually be a good blusher apart from fact it got broken. It glides on smooth, feels a thin powder so you are in control of building up the colour and it contains a slight shimmer (not glitter though!) which gives a nice healthy sheen to the skin without showing up my large pores that I really don't want highlighted. It clings to a brush well and I find it easy to direct where I want it and once on I just colour in my cheeks as its easy to blend! Once on I find it stays put all day long until I remove it with my usual make-up removing routine and I haven't felt that its given me any adverse effects at all.
All in all I think this is a great blusher. It has a decent colour pigmentation, feels soft on the skin and doesn't cake on and I can forget its there as it doesn't transfer off to the touch at all. I'm very much in control with this blusher and I love the colour I opted for and will in the future buy more of them. For £1.50 you can't go wrong....just be careful with it!
Only available from E.L.F(.com or .UK).
