... ~Application~ When you first receive this product make sure you twist the bottom of the tube 10-20 times until the product comes out of the sponge applicator, it also states this on the tube itself. It is easy to apply just screw the bottom of the tube once/twice etc you will see some holes at the top of the sponge, just apply to the lips as usual. Unfortunately the sponge applicator has a tendency to soak some of the product up of every application so you feel like your losing some gloss all the time, thus using mo...more

E.L.F Moisture Care Lip Colour ~About the Company~ Eyes Lips Face (ELF for short) first started in New York in 2004, by American celebrity and beauty professional Scott-Vincent Borba (the man who founded Hard Candy's cosmetics line in 1995 in LA). ELF provides cosmetics for as little as £1.50 and their mineral makeup up to £3.50 They manage to keep their prices low by not using high prices advertising. Rather they use the Internet for branding and word of mouth. To say the cosmetics are cheap doesn't mean they skimp on ingredients. ELF are said to use the best ingredients for their cosmetics. ELF has ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lip gloss for £1.50 (319 words)

I bought this lip gloss as part of my effort to cut back on how much I'd been spending on cosmetics, as it only costs £1.50 which is much cheaper than the brands I had previously been using. It looks surprisingly good quality when you see the packaging, it's a nice clear plastic tube which you can see the colour of the gloss through it, and it does look quite nice. It has a sponge tip applicator where you have to twist the bottom of the tube to get some gloss to come out onto the sponge then just glide the sponge over your lips. Another Elf product, this one I was probably the most impressed with...until the other day. But we'll get to that in a second. The New Moisture Care Lip Color is what I would describe as a lip stain rather than a gloss, which comes in eight shades, ranging from pale beige/nude, to bright red, to brown. It's "intensive hydrating elements" (which Elf does not list) are supposed to make your lips soft and supple. So does it work? Yes...but I did encounter a fairly gross problem with the product (read on...) The product comes in a pen-style tube with a slanted applicator, however instead of being made of the usual synthetic ...  Read the complete review

Cheap, good as eye shadow base Doesnt work well as concealer, maybe for someone with good skin

Easy to apply, great coverage, paraben free, natural, not tested on animals, cheap, SPF Takes a bit of getting used to!

cheap, nice sheen to lips gives a waxy taste, packaging looks rubbish

I only wasted £1.50 on this EVERYTHING - painful, doesn't work, way too hard,

Looks nice Doesn't stay on long enough, not glossy
