Advantages: Looks nice
Disadvantages: Doesn't stay on long enough, not glossy
I bought this lip gloss along with loads of other e.l.f products in a bid to cut back the amount of money I'd been spending on cosmetics. This, like most of their other items, costs only £1.50.
It comes in a squeezy plastic tube, which looks quite nice and you can see the colour of the gloss through it. It has a screw off lid which fastens very tightly so it won't come off in your make-up bag.
The applicator is basically just a slanted bit at the end of the tube with a a hole in it. You squeeze the tube to get some gloss out onto the end of the applicator, then just smooth it over your lips.
I found this gloss quite hard to apply at first, because it doesn't go on smoothly. It's really thick and sticky, which means it doesn't spread easily over the lips, so I have to do a lot of smoothing and patting it with my finger to get it applied evenly.
Once it's applied evenly it does look very nice. The colour I chose is called Candlelight, which is a nice light pink, and it does look very nice on. However, this gloss is called super glossy, and I really don't think it lives up to it's name. It isn't really glossy at all, it's more shimmery than glossy, and it doesn't have a lot of shine to it or that wet-look appearance that I would have expected.
It feels ok on the lips, fairly moisturising, but a little too sticky for my liking if I'm being perfectly honest. It doesn't stay on long either before I have to reapply it as it has just completely disappeared from my lips all together. I could see me getting through the tube very quickly because I have to reapply it so often.
The only really good thing about it is the fact that it has sun protection in it, spf15, and it is nice to know that your lips are protected. But that doesn't anywhere near make up for everything it lacks, and I would not buy it again.
Summary: Would not buy again
