Advantages: soft bristles, big brush
Disadvantages: lacks quality
I needed to replace some of my makeup brushes on a budget. Last year i'd been trying out E.L.F cosmetics and more importantly had managed to get all my products 50% off during a promotion.
The total face brush retails through the E.L.F (eyeslipsface) website for £1.50 making this bargain basement in terms of makeup brushes. I know some girls will spend a fortune on premium brushes by companies like MAC but I wanted to see whether E.L.F could compete. They certainly can on price!
The Total face brush has a wooden handle with a metal top holding the bristles which are nice and soft as well as being a nice big brush. This brush is perfect for applying facial powders such as E.L.F's high definition powder as well as bronzing powders.
Would I give this brush full marks? Well no, not quite. This brush doesn't feel quality, but then for £1.50 I don't really expect it to be anything too amazing. I've also another of E.L.F's makeup brushes which fell apart very quickly which was of a similar design to the Total face brush and therefore I am supposing this brush will fall apart in the same way.
All in all this is a good budget brush, but don't be surprised if it doesn't last long - although I will say that if you replaced this 2-3 times a year it would still be cheaper than buying a top quality high end brush!
Summary: a good all round budget makeup brush but probably won't last you very long
