My sister found some Elegant Touch/Eylure Paris Hilton collection false eyelashes on sale in Superdrug and, although they did look somewhat cheap in the pack, I was surprised by how nice they looked once she had applied them - full, but not drag queenish and, whilst they so add length to lashes, they're not too long. After seeing the successful results with those I looked online and saw that there are actually four styles of lashes in Elegant Touch/Eylure's 'Paris Hilton' range [Party Girl, Natural Beauty, Hollywood Glamour and Super Girly], so I bought the PARTY GIRL design to try.
The main reason for picking the PARTY GIRL design was because the band of the lashes is embellished with a gold, diamante embossed design, so I can be a bit lazy on nights out and don't need to spend ages on artful eyeshadow application to make an impact [when I'm trying to make a special effort with my makeup, you can bet I will mess it up at the end and then not have the time to start again]...
They are the perfect width for my eyes, so I didn't need to trim them [if you find that you do, trim them from the inner lashes]. I was expecting the decorated band of the lashes to be quite heavy, but once the lashes have been applied they're very light, so I forgot I was wearing false lashes.
I found them much easier to apply then any other pair of falsies that I've used, due to the band making the base of the lashes less flexible and hard to line up against your real lashes. And a wider band also means that you use a bit more glue, so once applied the lashes remain securely in place until I take them off again.
I find it best to apply false eyelashes by using a free-standing mirror placed in front of me - that way I can stare straight ahead and slightly downwards, whilst steadying my elbows on top of the dressing table. Make-up artists and magazine advise placing the lashes in the middle of your eye and then moving it into place, but I personally prefer starting from the inner corner of my eye and working outwards. No hard or fast rule - whatever works for you [the lashes come with a tube og good quality lash glue].
The best thing about the PARTY GIRL design is that the diamantes on the golden band are actually a design embossed onto the band, not actual diamantes; diamante look stunning when they catch the light, but they make the false lashes heavy, as well as tending to fall of the lashes after a few uses. A few years ago I had a fancy pair of diamante studded lashes by Hard Candy, but they kept detaching from my eyes as the diamante weighed them down and a diamante was missing when I pulled the lashes off only a couple of hours of wear.
Another plus point is that the criss cross placement of the lashes on the band, paired with semi-realistic length and volume, helps them to blend in well to my real lashes. So there is no need to apply mascara to bind the false lashes together with my real lashes, so I can keep on reusing the falsies as they still have that 'fresh out of the box' look to them.
I've worn them three times so far and they still look new, so they'll last for a while yet. Plus, during the festive run-up Elegant Touch/Eylure started putting two pairs of the lashes in each pack, so if you pick up a double pack somewhere you'll be getting a bargain.

I've found all four styles of false lashes and the matching four styles of false nails in selected branches of Superdrug, Boots and Tesco. Amazon UK also stocks them. My sister has bought some of her Paris Hilton lashes in Home & Bargain. I think she said that she paid £2.99 for hers.
Elegant Touch/Eylure have just launched a 'Katy Perry' range.
