“ Brand: Elemental Beauty / Type: Foundation „
Elemental Beauty Healing Mineral Foundation I have used mineral foundations for years, mostly because I don't like the feel of heavy makeup on my face and because I can never find the right shade in liquid forms, as I am so pale. I did recently convert back to my liquid foundations but I had to dilute it with a white foundation to make it paler for my skin tone. I bought a few and I had to do it to all of them, low, medium and high end brands, which is always a pain. That was one thing that I didn't want to do every time I wore foundation, which is everyday and the second thing was I was forever breaking out in spots even though the product was oil free blah blah. When I wore mineral foundation previous I didn't remember having this many break outs, after a few months of this I thought enough is enough and I converted back to my trustee mineral foundations. Instead of going back to my usual brand Lilylolo, I wanted to look for another brand that did the same job, was a reputable brand, affordable and more importantly one that works. I came across a brand called Elemental Beauty that I found in a beauty forum, members of the forum was raving about how good this foundation is, affordable and everything else I was looking for. I was surprised when I looked at their website http://www.elementalbeauty.co.uk their foundations are cheaper than Lilylolo, Elemental Beauty foundations are £10.99 for 10g of product and Lilylolo comes in at £12.00, okay a £1.01 saving but every little helps. There are three things I like a lot with Elemental Beauty, they have 16 different foundation shades, like Lilylolo but the shades look different between them both when you look onscreen, so you will find a shade for you. You can choose to customise your own shade for £2.00 extra so you know your shade is perfect you for and they do two choices in foundations, you can either choose a foundation from their Healing range, which is great for trouble skin, irritated, acne and rosacea suffers or you choose to have their Soft Focus Foundation, which has light reflecting properties away from wrinkles, and lines and gives you a nice soft focus appearance. I have never come across this before with a mineral foundation and loved the idea. I first chose their foundation sample as I never bought from them before I didn't want to buy a full size and it is the wrong colour for me. Their sizes come in at £0.85p for 0.75g, while Lilylolo come in at £1.25 for 0.05g. After purchasing five of their samples in their palest shades and in the healing range, the shade that is right for me is called Luminous - A cool yellow toned foundation for extremely fair skin, but the others I can use and mix when I have a little tan, or if I get a little tan. My skin is not perfect by any means; I have pores around my nose, redness on my cheeks and chin, as well as blemishes. I found with a liquid foundation this wasn't always covered and I could still see my flaws. The foundation shade Luminous is yellow toned, which helps to conceal redness, to apply mineral foundations you tap some product into the lid, buff the brush into the minerals, tap off the excess and buff into your face in circular movements. Start off little and you can work up the coverage with more product. When I was finished my skin looked great, all redness had gone, my pores looked smaller, my blemishes we're hidden and my skin looked even toned, which it never does and best off my entire face colour matched my neck! When I bought Lilylolo years before, the lightest shade they do is porcelain and that was a little dark for me, even though I knew this it wasn't too obvious, I liked the foundation and continued to wear it. But it feels and looks so much better when your face and body matches. Because I dont like foundations feeling heavy. this is perfect for me as you cant feel anything on your face, even if you apply a few layers. I was so impressed the next day I purchased the full size, which comes in a cute white gloss sturdy tub. After months of using this foundation I am still in love with it and go for it all the time when applying makeup, I do find though it won't cover all blemishes and a little concealer is needed but once you've done that and applied your minerals you cannot tell. Because I also purchased the healing foundation that helps with irritation, blemishes etc I have noticed an improvement in my skin, I am getting less spots, no irritation and my skin just looks a lot healthier especially when a light covering of this is applied. I also have loads left in the pot and I think I will have in months to come. I can't see me going back to Lilylolo, I have finally found my perfect match.
