Just recently I've got into the idea of blusher, before now it never really bothered me that much because I didn't really feel like I needed it. However with winter baring down on me, I decided that my pale cheeks were getting a lot paler and needed a bit of something to perk them up. Having hair the colour mine is, I struggled initially to find something that worked with the colour without either being really bright and matching my hair or being a weird pink or red colour that clashed - even though I had a maybelline blusher I got bored of it's shade so went for this ELF product.
~*~ ELF ~*~
Eyes Lips Face, a cosmetic company available online - I'd heard so much good about this website and the products it was providing that I felt like I needed to sample the good stuff. So before Christmas I decided so go on and make a box to be posted in my direction, they supply items from foundation, to eye shadow, to nail varnish, to nail files - with lip gloss, lipstick and blusher. You'd be hard pushed to not find what you are looking for on the website. In a basic level, to mineral and studio varieties that do vary in price, most of them for around the £1.50 - £2 mark which is a bargain considering the cost of cosmetics recently!
~*~ All Over Cover Stick ~*~
This cover stick comes in 6 different colours, ranging from a very pale creamy white - all the way through to quite a dark pink colour, all 6 colours come with a level of sparkle to them, so you'll definitely never look dull again. The stick comes in a white tube with 'elf' written on the front in silver, with all over colour stick written below it. It's a very plain looking stick, with a clear lid, and a clear shaft where the colour stick comes up. However I will warm of one thing it is a lot smaller than you would expect. When I ordered this I expected it to be a fair size - but it's small enough to fit inside your hand and to be honest even then you'd not know it's there! I thought it would be a taller but thinner tube, because then I think it would be a much more user friendly stick, but elf have made it this way for some reason it seems. The fact that the stick is chunky means you either end up with a big round chunk of stick on your cheeks, lips or eyes, or you have to use the side which means you'll get a very slim line. Think the packaging could be a bit better designed in my opinion, but never mind! Thankfully because it is quite easy to blend it doesn't remain a really big problem when you do use it, I find that I apply it mainly to my cheeks and just rub it in to my face with my fingers - else as I said I'd have a funny looking stripe down my face other wise!
It says that this is for use on eyes, lips and cheeks - personally if you want to use it on your lips, you might find you want a different colour to something you'd use on your eyes. As I've got the darkest colour, which isn't all that dark in fairness but to put that on my eyes, would probably look like I've been punched and developing a nice black eye. So if you are wanting to use it on all 3 areas of your face you might want to go for a middle of the range colour, obviously it would depend on what your skin tone is, for me having a fairer skin, but not really pale, to use all three I'd need a paler colour. The thing with the colours is they really are quite varied, - one colour looks more like bronzer than anything else, and I think a lot of people would struggle to pull that off on their lips. To be honest I wouldn't want it on my lips anyway - I tried it once and it just found really bitty and didn't do much good for my lips other than dry them out. On my eyes, well I have the wrong colour to be used on my eyes so I've not even tried it since I bought it. On my cheeks however it's brilliant, the colour blends in with my fingers really well, and providing my fingers aren't too cold I can get it in the desired area really easily. Even on the darkest colour, blended in with some powder it gives a really obvious contrast, but not one that makes you look like a clown - which is always a risk with colour on cheeks. It stays well too, I can put it on in the morning, go to work for 8 hours and when I take my make up off at night it's still obviously there as it is on my wipe or cotton wool after using my make up remover. It doesn't dry out my skin either, which is nice as I am prone to spots on my cheek bone area, the stick will last well as I say because it is really well blendable.
It's just not really an all over colour... Sorry ELF!
Though even though for me personally it was only really useful on my cheeks it's still only £1.50 and that's cheaper than a lot of blushers anyway!
~*~ Price and Availability ~*~
From ELF online for £1.50 + postage, but that varies depending on the speed you want it delivering!
I love trying out new makeup, a few months ago my friend recommended the ELF range. ELF stands for eyes, lips and face and is an online makeup shop with lots of cheap make up products. When I started looking through the site, I couldn't resist ordering in a few different make ups because everything was so reasonably priced. One of the things I ordered in was the ELF all over colour stick.
There is a good variety of colours available in this stick, there are pinks, peaches and bronzer shades. Some of the colours available include:
The all over colour stick can be used on you lips as a lipstick, on your cheeks as a blush or on your eyes as an eye shadow. It has a kind of balmy texture and can be rubbed onto your lips, eyes or cheeks.
I found that this little stick is really versatile and I really love how I can put it on my lips, then cheeks meaning they match perfectly when I am in a rush and do not have much time to do my makeup.
I haven't used this stick as an eye shadow as I do not usually wear pink shades on my eyes. However I have found that this little stick is really handy as a lipstick and blush.
I actually really like how this stick looks as both a blush and a lipstick, it is quite pigmented and the lipstick is really nice and pink, when it is blended into my cheeks it looks really nice and rosy, it is a little less natural looking than other blushes I have used, though I still like to use it when I am going out somewhere nice and want my make up to stand out.
It has good staying power, I find that usually when I apply it during the morning, it lasts until bedtime on my cheeks, however it does need to be reapplied on my lips more often which is expected because I usually re apply lipstick after eating or drinking anyway.
Price and Availability
This blusher is available from the ELF website for £1.50, the stick is 4g in size, and lasts for quite a long time, I have had mine for a few months now and it is only half finished. I think that this is a really good price for this handy little stick and I would definitely buy it again.
I think that this is one of the handiest little sticks ever, its looks great, allows me to match my lips and cheeks easily and is really cheap. Overall I would give this stick 5 out of 5 stars.

This is a review of Elf All Over Colour Stick in Spotlight - £1.50
The product comes in a white cylindrical container with a clear cap which allows you to easily see the colour of the product. The text is in grey/silver on the side. On removing the cap, the product can be twisted up to reveal the stick of colour - this one is in a white/ivory colour. The packaging is not particularly impressive but is nice and compact.
I think the colour of this product is well developed. It is incrediby sheer and is colourless on the skin, showing only a sheen. This is great as sometimes having a highlight with a gold, blue or yellow cast can clash with different skin tones and blushes.
The finish on the skin is brilliant! It is a cream formula which melts into the skin, looks beautiful and is incredibly natural as there are no large glitter particles. I find this particularly good for my dry skin.
Due to the colour i chose, spotlight, i can not only use this as a lips, eyes and cheek product but also to highlight the inner corner of the eye, under and above the brow bone, on the cheek bone, down the centre of the nose, above the cupids bow and a little on the chin.
The product is easy to work with as it is not difficult to blend out. It can be applied straight from the stick for a thicker application or using your finger for a sheerer more buildable application. It melts and blends easily with just the right amount of pigment.
The price, obviously, is excellent too. Furthermore, you get lots of product for your money.
Some people may feel it has a messy application because it is a cream product. However, if you like cream products and are happy to use them i doubt that you will find any issue with this product's application.
The main problem with this product is its universality. It is possible that it is not suitable for all skintones or all skintypes. The colour may be seem a little ashy on darker skin tones (I have a fairly pale skintone) and if you have oily skin you may not want to apply a creamy product to the face - particularly as this is more sticky than liquid (hence it is in a stick formula).
Overall: Worth your time and money, at least to try it. I was really pleasantly suprised!
Having heard quite a lot about the eyes lips and face brand which sells cosmetics online I decided to order some items for myself to see if I would get along with the brand. One of the items I ordered was an all over colour stick which I shall review today.
The colour stick is available in various colours but I opted for lilac petal which looked quite a light and natural pink colour. I do think it is quite tricky to judge the colour online but I was quite pleased with the colour when it arrived and it was pretty much as I had expected it would be.
The all over colour stick comes in a white quite fat looking tube which has a slight shimmer to it. It features the e.l.f name as well as the product name in a silver coloured lettering which seems to rub off quite easily despite not being used all that often. The product has a clear plastic lid through which you can see the colour of the stick. I have got to say the packaging does look quite cheap but this said it only costs £1.49 and in my opinion the product certainly doesn't look that cheap!
The colour stick is accessed by twisting the bottom of the tube which will then expose the colour. When exposed the colour looks quite like a flat lipstick to be honest. As it is an all over colour stick it is suitable for use wherever but I personally like to use it for either my cheeks or my lips occasionally. If I use it on my cheeks I simply rub it on to the apple of my cheek straight from the tub and then blend it in as desired. I find that it blends really well on my cheeks and creates a nice shimmering pink effect. Having not been a fan of cream blushers in the past I did wonder if I would like the effect this product would give but I actually really do as I think it looks natural and healthy on the skin. When I use the product on my lips I tend to use my finger or a lip brush to get some of the product for my lips and whilst it is a nice colour on the lips I do find it is very drying and so I don't often use it for my lips.
As a colour for my cheeks I really like this product and it lasts pretty well on the face considering it has such a cheap price. It doesn't feel heavy on my face either which is obviously a good thing. The product can be used for up to twelve months but I would think it would be used long before that time as you don't get an awful lot of product in the tube to be honest.
As a blusher I certainly recommend this e.l.f all over colour stick as it is cheap and looks nice on as well but I wouldn't really recommend it as a lip colour if this is your intention of use for it as it is quite drying.
Thank you for reading my review!
Reviewed Product:- ELF All Over Cover Stick
Net Weight:- 0.14oz (4g)
Cost:- £1.50 (Purchased online from www.eyeslipsface.com)
I had heard a plethora of comments regarding ELF Make up in the office and noticed ELF Make up cropping up in various magazines and decided to take the plunge and investigate the ELF make up phenomenon myself.
I logged onto the http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk website and was entranced for over half an hour browsing in Make-up heaven. Products that I didn't even realise I wanted and needed seemed to jump across the page goading me for my naivety regarding their existence.
But.. the biggest shock was the price. ELF Make up is exceedingly cheap and appeared to be remarkably good value. I loaded my basket with all manner of whimsical items and then brutally narrowed it down to affordability versus sheer Make up lust.
I placed an order which arrived the next day despite me not paying for next day delivery, I ordered quite a few items and the ELF All Over Cover/Colur Stick was one of them.
According to the ELF Website Blurb - the All Over Cover Stick is a "3 in 1 color for your eyes, lips, and or face! Get the color that illuminates for a healthy glow, and instantly soothes and conditions the skin for fresh and natural color all day long". Source - ELF Website
The Product was much smaller than I expected and fitted neatly into the palm of my hand. It's essentially a condensed solid shimmer stick packed into a tube with a twist mechanism.
Eagerly I sat poised next to my Make up Mirror and twisted... the shimmer stick felt soft and glided across my cheekbones like a dream. I ordered the Lilac Petal colour which is a sparkly almost pastel pink and was surprised that the product looked exactly like the swatch provided on the website.
The product is quite metallic and pigmented and it blended really well (via my hands) leaving a shimmery highlight effect across my cheekbone. Not too obvious and in fact considering the pigments in the stick the effect was quite subtle and very similar to Benefit High Beam but at a fraction of the price.
The product has definite staying power and lasted a whole day without melting which a lot of products tend to do due to my oily skin. I loved the application, durability and simplicity of the all over colour stick.
I checked the Caring Consumer list and the products are not tested on animals.
The Colour stick is small and compact and is essentially a solid colour stick that resides within a small plastic white tube with a clear plastic lid. The Shimmer stick is operated via a twist mechanism which in this case is the bottom of the white plastic tube. The twist mechanism isn't messy but I found that it tended to get stuck and I fear for the longevity of the packaging after a lot of usage.
Considering the £1.50 price I personally didn't think the packaging looked too cheap in fact it looked simple and understated and the white packaging almost looked clinical.
My only complaint regarding packaging is the lack of durability.
*********Functionality & Usability*****
Regarding Functionality I think that the all over cover stick is essentially a good idea and I loved the fact that I could transport this product in my make-up bag due to its compact size. I also loved the fact that it's a solid highlighter as opposed to the liquid ones I had used previously.
I loved the multi functionality of the stick, I predominately use it as a highlighter but it's also great as a blusher, eye shadow and a lipstick.
As an eye shadow I used the stick over an eye primer just to add some shimmer and colour and it left a faint shimmer glow over the eyelids which weren't too greasy or powdery.
As a blusher the product was a little too faint for my skin tone and worked much better as a highlighter but a darker coloured stick would more than suffice as a blusher.
I loved the product as a lipstick, it glides on and stays on and leaves a faint pink glittery shimmer. I added a clear lip gloss over the top.
The product is exceptional regarding usability and functionality, it's my new make-up best friend and is reliable, adaptable and provides a hint of shimmery magic in a variety of ways.
Aqua(Water), Isopropyl Myristate, Octyl Isopalmitate, Ceresin Wax, Microcrystalline Wax (Cera Microcristallina), Sorbitol, Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491 , CI 77492 , CI 77499), Red No.6 Lake (CI 15850
There are quite a few chemicals in this product but far less than I expected and I was relieved to see that there weren't any parabens on the list.
Isopropyl Myrisstate is mainly a penetrating serious offender to the skin which is found in many cosmetics. It's used for its to apply "slip" allowing it to go on more smoothly, thereby appearing to have a sheer feel. This explains why the Colour stick glides onto the skin like a dream. Although generally considered to be safe, isopropylmyristate may cause mild allergic reactions along with possibly aggravating skin conditions such as acne.
Titanium Dioxide is a naturally occurring mineral which is derived from oxide of titanium and is frequently used in cosmetics to inject a whiteness to color cosmetics and encourage the opacity and minimize transparency, titanium dioxide also reflects and absorbs and scatters light including (UVA,B & C rays) and has anti-ageing properties. Titanium Dioxide was studied by the a group working for the International Agency for Cancer Research who announced that there was inadequate evidence in humans regarding the carcinogenic effects of Titanium Dioxide but sufficient evidence for its carcinogenicity in experimental animals, and classified the substance as possibly carcinogenic to humans
Ceresain Wax is a mineral wax usually derived from Coal and is called synthetic beeswax. It's mainly used as a thickener and helps to keep emulsions from separating the oil and liquid components and explains the solidity of the Colour stick.
Iron Oxides are naturally occurring mineral deposits and are generally used in cosmetics to provide pigmentation and Ipresume the Iron Oxides are providing the glittery pigment effect of the colour stick.
As with nearly all brand cosmetics there is a list of chemical ingredients which are always up for debate regarding their toxicity. Due to the heavy pigmentation the product I would recommend that anyone with sensitive skin to try a patch test before usage.
*********Value for money********
The ELF Company use cheap packaging and don't use celebrity endorsements and Ad campaigns in order to keep the costs down.
ELF Products are definitely at the cheaper end of the spectrum, but I don't actually feel that the products suffer for this and in fact the packaging doesn't look cheap. Its simple stylish and contemporary.
The All Over Colour Stick is without question great value for money it's a Highlighter, blusher, eye shadow and lipstick all for £1.50
I adore this product and its versatility. It's easy to use really cost effective and cruelty free. It's a make-up must have for any gal.
I like the packaging, the usability, the functionality, the price and the product itself and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
Summary: Great idea and a must have for makeup Junkies.
Stick with it...
After reading many, many things about E.L.F. products for years, and somehow managing to resist the lure of all those ultra-cheap cosmetics for so long, I finally gave in and made a bit of a bumper order a while back.
This was one of the items I had read some decent reviews of, and it sounded quite intriguing so I decided to try it out.
Cheap and cheerful
For those who aren't familiar with E.L.F. Cosmetics, it's an American company that's now set up in the UK. Most of the cosmetics on offer retails for a lovely cheap £1.50. The company keeps prices so low by only selling online and not doing much advertising and so on. They do have some 'premium' cosmetics that come in at the still cheap £3 mark, but the product I am reviewing here comes in at £1.50.
What is it?
So what is it? According to the website this stick is a 3 in 1 product for eyes, lips and face that illuminates skin to give a healthy glow, and instantly soothes and conditions the skin for fresh and natural colour all day long.
There are six colours available and I opted for Persimmon which looked to be quite a bronze shade on the site. In real life, however, this was paler and more shimmery than I had thought.
The packaging itself is pretty unexciting - it comes in a short, stubby white tube with a clear plastic lid - you simply twist the base of the tube and the stick rises and falls as required. The product - like other E.L.F. products - smells slightly orangey, which is a very nice touch but a bit unusual and unexpected with a facial product!
Dragging it out
As mentioned I was a bit concerned about the light shade of the product - I have a light Asian skintone so I was worried it would look almost silvery on my skin. Rubbing this stick onto my cheeks I was also a bit surprised at how this sort of "dragged" on my skin - it wasn't smooth and creamy as you may expect and, frankly, it wasn't very pleasant to apply - the stick seems to be too hard and thick to feel nice on my cheeks! Even rubbing this on my fingers first and then onto my cheeks didn't feel quite right somehow - I am used to using much creamier products on my cheeks and this wasn't creamy at all. This also made me wonder if it would blend into the skin at all.
The shade of the stick wasn't as much of a concern as I had at first thought - the coverage this gives is pretty light and although it was a bit silvery and light it was okay - but not really a great shade for me. As a highlighter I would say it worked fairly well and did give a slight shimmer to the cheekbones. However the shade of this looked a bit unnatural for my skintone, and I didn't feel it was very easy to blend.
I also tried this out on my lips and, again, it isn't a good shade for me - it is too pale and I also found it didn't go on very smoothly.
Not for me
Although this was an okay highlighter I wouldn't purchase another one of these - even if I could guarantee the correct shade for my skintone! The texture of it is just too unpleasant and I just don't like using it at all - which means I don't use it at all! In fact this one is going in the bin sadly. However, it gets two stars as it is cheap and it does kind of do what it's supposed to .... I just don't particularly like using it!
This little beauty was another purchase from my first order of many. This was bought both out of curiosity and the fact that it was again in that beautiful £1.50 price bracket. In the past I have generally gone for powder blushes purely out of habit but I fancied trying out a few new shades for my skin tone so I bought this product both in "Persimmon" and "Pink Lemonade". The only colour that I have tried out so far is the "Persimmon" one but I will be focusing more on the quality of the actual product itself. The fact that it is an "all over" colour stick indicates that it is for several uses, in this case eyes, lips and cheeks. I, however, prefer to use it just on my cheeks.
The packaging is once again very simple, the product itself being contained in a white plastic cylindrical tube of glue-stick thickness with a clear lid that comes maybe half way down the tube. It obviously has the e.l.f. branding in silver on the white part of the tube. Another beautiful thing about some of the e.l.f products is the fact that they are scented, this all over colour stick being of an orangey aroma, not too sickly though and a pleasant additional feature.
I apply this after my foundation to highlight my cheek bones and I find it very effective. It glides on very smoothly and also stays intact very well in hot countries (currently in Italy) in the sense that it doesn't turn straight to liquid or mush. I generally find that you need to blend it very slightly, but it has a nice, subtle sheen to it in a certain light. Obviously you can apply as much or little as you want given personal taste and style. Although it stays intact extremely well, obviously in hotter countries you may need to re-apply after 6 or 7 hours as your makeup starts to slide off your face (oh the joys of hot climates), but I find that when I am in the UK, one application on a morning is enough to give me a healthy glow all day.
My skin is not very delicate anyway but I have had no problems whatsoever with it since starting to use this colour stick, nothing in the way of spots or irritation at all. I absolutely love it and the shade itself is beautiful. The pictures of the shades as they are on the website is very accurate; the only reason I have not used the "Pink Lemonade" shade is because that is more my usual shade and the "Persimmon" was me trying something new, which was clearly the way to go as I have been hooked ever since! There is an excellent selection of shades online for every shade of skin and whichever style of makeup you favour.
For the miniscule price it is definitely worth trying a couple of shades, try something you wouldn't usually go for, as you might surprise yourself. This stick looks as though it might take a while to run down - after a month I have made a small dent in it - but I will most definitely be using it again! In fact, e.l.f recently had an offer on where everything on their website was half price if the initial spent was £25, aka £12.50 afterwards. Needless to say I spent about £40, which was taken down to £20 and I ordered this colour stick amongst a stack of other bits and bobs which I absolutely cannot wait to try out! I would highly recommend this product.
I like to try out various make up items from eyes lips face (E.L.F) because in their basic range everything is priced at £1.50 so you can't really go wrong. I was having a browse through their website and saw this All Over Color Stick and decided to pick one up, as I had never seen anything like it before, and it looked like a good, versatile make up item which I could carry around with me.
If you are wondering what this is, it is a stick which provides colour for your eyes, lips or face to brighten it up - hence the 3 in 1. E.L.F claim that this product gives colour, provides a healthy glow, instantly soothes and conditions the skin for colour all day long. For £1.50 I was swayed for this as it seemed very versatile and something I could use on a regular basis.
You get 4 grams of make up in the stick, and it is available in six shades ranging from baby pinks, to browns and peaches. They are all very natural and wearable colours which is to my taste. I brought the product to apply to my cheeks to give me a glow and act as a form of blusher, however as the product is 3 in 1, this means some people may want to apply to their eyes. Unfortunately, I do not feel that some of the colours provided would be particularly flattering for the eyelids, however that is just my own personal taste. The shade I brought my color stick in is Persimmon, which is a pinky brown shade and contains lots of sparkle.
The stick itself is quite small to hold on to when applying, however all you need to do is remove the cap, screw up the product a little and then dab on to the cheeks or wherever you so wish. I apply mine lightly and then rub it in with the tips of my fingers to ensure I have no strange lines and to ensure that it is even across my face.
I felt that it really helped to give my skin a natural glow, however the color stick is quite sheer so it is not effective enough to use it as a bright blusher it just helps to emphasise natural beauty. I think this will be perfect for summer because it is not too heavy and will just give your skin that extra oomph it needs in the weather. For £1.50 I could not have asked for much more. The only thing I could complain about is that it does not last too long, and can start to wear down quite quickly, but when you are paying so little you can not expect grand results.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with this all over color stick, and I love the effect it gives to my cheeks and gives a nice shimmer. I would recommend this product to anyone, and it deserves a good four stars. Thanks for reading.
Although E.L.F (Eyeslipsface.com) have been about in the UK since 2007 (an American online cosmetic company), until recently I hadn't placed an order. It was all down to the good people on review sites to draw my attention the fact that this make-up was usually £1.50 a piece (not all!) but that it was good stuff and I may be missing out.
Armed with my debit card one night I logged on to the site and was surprised at the large array of make-up and just how cheap it was. You can get free delivery on items worth over £30.00 or more (in total), otherwise you just pay £2.95 for however much stuff you order for it to be delivered and when I placed my order there was an offer on. Spend over £10.00 get an eye palette with 32 colours in it (worth £9.00) free! Well I'm not one to miss out on that sort of deal and so I happily placed an order around £13.00 in total and this was one of the items I chose!
The Packaging is simple. The tube itself is white plastic to the bottom of it with the colour sat within in and the lid pulls on and off with ease and to the base of it we are told that it is E.L.f All Over Color Stick and to the base of that the colour is stated and contact details for the manufacturer are given. To use it you simply twist the middle of it to get the block of colour to go up and down. It comes on a pink card covered in see-through plastic and you are told who it is by and again what it is and the colour is stated along with the size being given which is 4g and the only size this is available in. On the card we are told a bit about the product and how to use it, ingredients are given and again contact details for the manufacturer are listed.
The Color Stick:
The idea of this is to add shimmer and thus brighten the area you use it on such as eyes, lips and the face and so this is a very versatile product and an all in one and is a small and handy size to take out on the go with you if you want to.
I absolutely love this product! It comes off the stick lightly and not to thickly and it isn't one bit greasy but creamy in its consistency. I originally bought this to use as a face highlighter but now I really do use this on my eyes lips and as originally planned to, on my face!
So lets look how this can be used. Simply blend a bit on your eyes with a finger or a sponge applicator and it brightens and smoothens the eye area instantly, blends incredibly easily and stays put all day long. It doesn't agitate my sensitive eyes one bit and hydrates them and makes the skin look really smooth. It removes very easily but I was surprised how this stays out on the eyes for hours with no transfer and really does look great. Stick some under your brow bow to make the eyes look bigger...I do!
On my lips this is smooth and uncloggy. it sort of blends into the lips giving not only a high in-depth colour but of course a shimmer too. This doesn't contain glitter so really does look smooth and doesn't 'bleed' as it settles into the lips. Course like any lipstick it does eventually wear off but I get about an hour a time once applied. I love the shimmer this gives me and it really does make my lips feel moist and cared for without feeling one bit heavy.
As a cheek colour this is brilliant! Use it on the cheekbones to add definition alone or use it along with a blusher. I apply it directly on to my cheeks then blend it with my fingers or a small cosmetic sponge. Again it goes on a smooth formula, feels soft and hydrating and really stays put all day long. It makes my cheekbones 'pop' this and not once have I felt that its agitated or made my skin dry or greasy or anything adverse at all.
I simply love the quality of this product and for me now its a must have. The application is brilliant, the results really excellent and it removes with your usual make-up routine. Any woman of any age can use this in my opinion as it doesn't contain glitter just a shimmer and I am only sad that I ordered only 1 colour now as there are 6 to choose from and I now have to order them all! So impressed with this I am ordering a few as small stocking fillers for people as I want to spread the word about this fabulous cosmetic company! I can't recommend this product highly enough believe me!

ELF stands for Eyes, Lips, Face and is a brand selling low-price but often good quality make-up, launching in 2004 in America and 2007 in this country.
There are a lot of products at £1.50 with their studio and mineral lines at £3.50. This product was £1.50 and is an all over colour stick for your ELF (eyes, lips and face). It comes in six shades ranging from light brown to pink. The shade I have is lilac petal a dark pink, though I would say it was a smidge lighter than the picture on the website.
It is exactly as the picture shows, a white tube which twists up to reveal the cream stick of colour.
To use on my cheeks I dab a small amount onto the skin and rub it in. You need to make sure you spread it evenly because it is very shimmery. It gives a healthy pink glow which is perfect for summer. It doesn't last forever on the face but a reasonable time being the consistency it is.
On the lips I put some onto my finger and then apply to my lips, using only a tiny amount otherwise it looks stupid, looking too bright, pink and shimmery.
It's not a colour I would usual use on the lids but a little of it looks good; it would look good as a highlighter on your eyelids with some of the lighter colours would be great for this!
You can only purchase ELF products online at www.eyeslipsface.co.uk with postage being £2.95 or free when you spend over £30. There is often free postage on lower spends so keep an eye out.
I would purchase this again but in a different shade as it is a great space-saver, has multiple uses and is cheap.

The product is a solid cream stick, that is best blended with your fingers, as your body heat will help the formula dissolve and apply smoothly.
At the minute I have 2 different shades and have found that the colours do apply lighter then they appear in the tube it is easy to build up in intensity, so I would say they'd suit most skin-tones. Both of the shades I own are shimmery and [judging by the ELF colour charts] I'd say that it's safe to assume that all of the other colours contain some shimmer too.
The product is scented; But the scent (sugared orange) is very mild; I had to hold it to my nose to double-check before I wrote this review.

The product lasts far longer on the cheeks, then on lips or eyes - It was still perfect 6 hours after application when I removed my make-up.
It applies fairly sheer to cheeks and feels creamy, but not greasy. As it's sheer and creamy it is also very easy to build up the colour, for the colour intensity you want.

The pigmentation is higher on the thinner skin of the eyelids, but the finish is still pretty sheer. If you want to apply another layer to build up the colour remember that when blending in the formula to sweep the colour in one direction only.
After 3/4 hours the colour was still noticeable. There was some creasing, but I found this to be less noticeable then other brands [including NARS The Multiple].

On lips the formula applies as a full-colour cream, with a frosted finish. I own Spotlight and Golden Peach and neither look good as lipstick, but the pink or bronzes might look better.
On me the colour lasts around 2 hours and didn't have the same drying effect that The Multiple had on my lips.

The tube uses the same twist-bottom method as The Multiple does to push the product out.
I don't have a problem with the packaging - yes, the white plastic looks and feels cheap, but for a great product for £1.50 I don't really care about the outer packaging.
