... inside. The brush looks very modern in design being black in colour and features a matt black handle and black fine set brushes. This brush is slightly longer than my previous one and yet its minimal design and slightly splayed yet tapered bristles mean that it is a sturdy little tool which I have used everyday since ordering it. E.l.f. state that this brush is anti bacterial and can be used with both wet and dry products. As I rarely use foundation, tending instead to go for powder, I was definitely leaning towards t...more

ELF Studio Complexion Brush: Perfecting my makeup application! (561 words)

They say that a good worker never blames their tools, however in applying makeup I am a firm believer that having good tools only enhances the makeup when it goes on. As such, when I was doing a big e.l.f. shop recently I did have a perusal through their list of brushes to see whether there were any that might be useful. The previous brush I used to apply powder to my face was looking well past its prime. The bristles beginning to have that frayed look and slightly roughened feel. Despite washing this brush a number of times it was well due for renewal and that it where this e.l.f. Complexion Brush came in handy. Upon receiving my brush in the post I was ...  Read the complete review

Preferring to use my fingers for applying my foundation, I only really use brushes to apply and powders/bronzer/blush. Needing a new brush and knowing that not just any old brush will do, I went on a hunt for a good but inexpensive powder brush. After reading a few reviews about how good e.l.f brushes are, I felt compelled to try one of them out. I needed a brush with enough bristles that I could quickly apply any powder over my foundation, but not too big that I couldn't control where I used it. I ended up going with the complexion brush, and although hearing good things I honestly wasn't expecting much. The complexion brush comes from e.l.f's Studio line on ...  Read the complete review

ELF Studio Complexion Brush: How do ELF do it? (1046 words)

***Why I want the product*** After using the same complexion brush for years for my mineral foundation, I cannot grumble at it as it was a cheap brush from eBay that did the job for a long time without any quarrels from me. However, endless amounts of powder application and endless amounts of cleaning have taken its toll. My brush started to resemble my cat when she is moulting, not a good look on your face when you are trying to get a good makeup application. My brush was 'scratching' my face even with the lightest of brush strokes, which made my all ready sensitive skin itchy and red, which took awhile to subside. While browsing ELF Cosmetics website I ...  Read the complete review

A while ago I put in rather a large order from E.l.f.co.uk an online only cosmetic company. I buy quite a lot of make up and make-up related products from them as I found that they have alot of very good quality products that are cheap enough not to break my budget. I buy alot of make-up brushes and this one when I spotted it being called a Complexion Brush appealed to me as on the website it tells us that this is suitable to use with pressed, loose or translucent powders, blush or bronzer so I thought that for its £3.75 price tag it would be a useful addition to my kit and in the past I have bought alot of E.L.f make-up brushes and rather liked them on the ...  Read the complete review
