“ Brand: Rimmel / Type: Mascara / Suitable for: Eye „
When I was on holiday in Blackpool a few months ago for a week I'd forgotten my mascara - disaster, lol! I had to buy one quick but my budget was only a few pounds but luckily I found a 'Rimmel Exaggerate' in Black (the greatest colour in the universe!!) for only four pounds on a market stall. The wand was sealed but it came highly recommended by the biggest makeup freak I know - my mum! She said to get a trusted brand like this one so I did... The mascara comes in a really funky silver tube which is about four inches long and had pretty swirls on the screw off lid. It said on the front 'full volume and curl' and is ophthalmologically tested for eye safety too. Made in England there is 8ml of mascara in this product which is advertised as 'Sweeps lashes up and out to their fullest potential' so I was hopeful it was pretty good stuff :) When I opened up my new find I had a good look at the brush before I coated it too much in mascara. It was a long narrow brush type applicator with little fibre teeth really, the brush is about one inch long and narrows slightly at the end to make it easier to ally the cosmetic to the outer lashes. When I used this makeup for the first time I was really impressed with it! It was smooth and quite thick but not clumpy; it needed two coats though so I let each layer set before going over it for a final sweep... This isn't a waterproof mascara but it lasted very well anyway, I didn't have to re-do it all day and it came off really easily with my makeup facial wipes at night time. I really liked this mascara and though it was from a good cosmetic name, five stars from me I can recommend it for good coverage and staying power :)
Rimmel Exaggerate Mascara is my favourite mascara, I will never stray from this mascara and buy it over and over again! I have fairly long eye lashes any way and find that many mascaras makes my lashes stick together and become clumpy. With Rimmel Exaggerate the mascara seems to be fairly fluid and not lumping in any way. I am also sure that the traditional style brush makes a huge different too. The brush allows you to have far more control of the application. The Exaggerate Mascara range come in a range of colours from navy blu, brown to black, which means the range is suited to everyone. I have to say that this range of masacra is very affordable at around £5. and also does exactly what it say on it- the mascara really does exaggerate your lashes! I seem to get a lot of comments on how long my lashed look!! A affordable and quality product
before I start, apologies for the awful title. and another ting, this is about the non-waterproof version of their mascara, either that or it didn't say so on the packet, and it wasn't waterproof at all. I'm thinking the first one. I personally think that mascara?s are one of the most difficult beauty products to buy. You can?t test them in the shop, because you?d get escorted quickly from the premises. You also don?t know whether or not they?re going to be any good at all, and whether or not you are going to end up with panda eyes during winter. I didn?t have to go through the painstaking process of choosing this mascara, as it was bought for me by a friend. I don?t know about you, but I really love trying out new products, I?m like a child in a toy shop, so I used this one almost straight away. I usually curl my eyelashes before I put on my mascara, but in this case I didn?t have time, so I just applied the mascara straight away (school mornings are lazy and rushed at my house!). It was very easy to apply and it didn?t clump, or leave little black specks above my eyelids (I hate it when that happens!). It didn?t clump at all, which I am very glad about, because there?s nothing I hate more than spider lashes. This Mascara has quite a small brush, which I really like, as longer ones usually just leave me with lots of smudged make-up and they get in the way I find. As you can see from the picture, it?s black with silver writing on it, which you would think to be plain, but it?s actually very classy looking, which I like. I was given this mascara in shade 001 which is Black/Black, although it also comes in brownish/black. The mascara claims to ?triple the volume of lashes? and it totally lived up to these claims. My lashes looked really long and curly, even though I hadn?t curled them, it also separated my lashes really well, so no-more spider lashes for me. This is suitable for sensitive eye s, although my eyes aren?t sensitive so I can?t tell you whether or not this is true. Is it waterproof? Not really, but considering it?s not meant to be, I wasn?t expecting whether proofed eyes. It did only smudge a little though, and I find if I just rub away the excess, it looks fine. It is also a very long lasting mascara, as I?ve never once had to re-apply it at school, where I find many other mascaras I need to re-apply once at least. I recently bought an Avon mascara because I?ve has this about 4 months, and your supposed to throw them out after 3, but I was hugely disappointed in it, so I had to come back to my faithful friend. It?s also excellent value for money, at only the £4 mark. So even if you detest it when you get it home, you aren?t gonna have burnt a hole in you wallet are you? Thanks for reading, Laura xx
I have been trying to find a decent mascara to wear for nights out for ages now and I have tried loads of so called "superlash" mascaras that didn't work. When I saw the Rimmel Exaggerate mascara I thought I might as well add it to my growing collection. I was really impressed. It claims to triple the length of lashes and it really works. My lashes looked longer and thicker than they ever have before and I was actually asked if I was wearing false lashes the other night. The product went on without clumping, separating your lashes and making your eyes look fantastic. I wouldn't recommend this product for daytime use though, the effect is a bit too overstated. Reading other users opinion it seems that this product doesn't live up to its waterproof claim but as I only wear the product in the evening this hasn't really affected me. The only problem I have found with this mascara is that its a nightmare to get off. I have to use tons of eye make up remover to avoid looking like the Bride of Dracula the next day! And if you do end up staying at a friends or going to bed without taking your make up before you go to bed be warned that this mascara flakes badly and you will look like a panda in the morning!
I normally buy Mabelline mascara, but after buying a tube the other day, only to find it had dried out I decided to try another brand. I saw that Rimmel did a brand called Exaggerate, it claims to triple the volume of your lashes. I've been using it for about a week now, and I have to say I'm a convert, I probably wouldn't buy Mabelline again after using Rimmel. It has a really chunky wand that reaches right to the tip of the lash, in just one coat, you can see the difference, after applying two coats, it's like WOW. My lashes were so thick and long they actually stood out, it kind of feels funny as I was used to normal looking lashes. This is definitely a quality product that knocks the socks off Maybelline. If you want thick, long luxurious lashes try this girls and boys.
I always wear mascara and always choose a waterproof one as I take my two year old swimming twice a week and I can guarentee that if I leave the house without an umbrella it will rain. So when my usual brand of waterproof mascara ran out I decided to give another brand a go. On reading the product description Rimmels Exaggerate Extra Volume Waterproof Mascara sounded perfect. Mother nature diidn't give me long luscious lashes so the idea of having triple volume lashes sounded ideal and the fact that it claims to be waterproof was a bonus. Well on first application it went on evenly with no clumping, it was easy to apply and my lashes looked great...and then I went swimming...bad idea. My daughter splashed me in the face a few times and when I emerged from the pool I looked like a panda. I can honestly say that this is the worst waterproof mascara I've ever tried and am so disgusted that Rimmel have the cheek to claim it's waterproof when it definitly isn't that I'm going to write to Rimmel to complain. This has to be the worst £3.99 I've ever spent. I'll keep you all updated on my complaint.
I've tried lots of foundations and the one i've been using now for over 2 years is Rimmel Soft Finish Foundation . I have really pale skin and it the only foundation I have found that doesn't make my face look like an orange !!! It is really cheap to , a tube ( 30mls) lasts for ages and costs under 3 pounds . What is good is that also do them for different skin types as lots of Foundations i've tried have made my dry skin look even worse , but this foundation has got built in moisturisers but they are non greasy so I don't get a shiny nose . The foundation is really light weight , reduces lines and lasts for about 6 hrs before a reapplication is needed . It's ideal for everyday use , but I would use something a little more expensive and longer lasting if i'm off out for the evening .
For ages now I've been using Rimmel's Exaggerate extra volume mascara because I think it really builds up lashes well. But because I'm always worried about bits dropping off and giving me panda eyes (I wear glasses so the ends can break off when I flutter my lashes against the lenses), I add a coat of a different brand of waterproof to sort of seal everything on. So when I saw in Boots the other week that Rimmel have brought out a new waterproof Exaggerate extra volume mascara and it was on offer at a special trial price, I thought it was going to be the best thing since sliced bread. I couldn't have been more wrong.First, it didn't build up the lashes at all--it was actually quite a thin consistency and I wasn't impressed even after two coats. But secondly, and even worse, when I looked in the mirror a few hours later, I had dirty great patches of the stuff under my eyes! I dread to think what would have happened if I would have been caught in the rain!! It says on the pack "Triples the volume of the lashes-in just two coats".I think it's Rimmel who is Exaggerating. Don't waste your money on this product--offer price or not, it's not worth having.
